A list of puns related to "Atlantic Mackerel"
I keep finding Indian or King mackerel, and from what I see online, Atlantic Mackerel is different.
Prefer fresh, but frozen is fine if that's all that is available.
Big thanks for any help! :)
Moved here recently and unable to find any local groceries selling Atlantic Mackerel (Or Norwegian Mackerel / Saba). I should be able to get it in random Japanese groceries in Indy or Chicago, but do anyone know if I can get it locally?
Which is even superior to chicken hearts. Really cool considering how cheap, tasty and readily available mackerel is. Also since phosphatidylserine bound to DHA is considered more beneficial for the brain than phosphatidylserine by itself, phosphatidylserine in mackerel probably beats other sources in more than one way.
I have been eating mackerel daily for two weeks now and I feel pretty great, for what it's worth. I also respond pretty well to soy lecithin derived phosphatidylserine supplements but they are just ludicrously expensive to get a dose of 300-500mg daily.
One normal sized Atlantic mackerel is 350g, of which 200g you can eat probably, which costs me 1 euro. That's up to 900mg phosphatidylserine for 1 euro, which is super cheap.
EDIT: Atlantic mackerel is also one of the lower mercury fish, so is safe for regular consumption.
EDIT: Maybe not. See /u/potifar's comment.
Not sure where to ask this question, but I think nutrition is the best place. Basically with the scare of mercury and all, is 100 grams of farmed salmon daily fine? I want evidence based answers as well thanks!
