Alot of Egyptian temples and the Sphinx are still there, Bablyon is still there, Persiapolis is still there, etc.... why is that?
I'm looking for any type important item and or weapon involved in the folklore or mythology of the Arabian peninsula and or from north west Africa, main the horn of Africa. I'm planning to use it as a piece of eden in a AC fan fic. Preferably the item is documented before the 5th century. Thank you.
During the early Islamic period different sources mention the existence of Jewish tribes in Arabia (e.g. Quran, Constitution of Medina, Hadith literature). What happened to these tribes? Did they convert or intermarry, or were they destroyed?
Following the rising of tensions in the middle eastern region, Britain has decided to reach out to the nations of the Arabian peninsula in order to prevent the further escalation of tensions.
Saudi Arabia
Rising tensions in the region are becoming too worrisome to ignore, and as such a meeting was set up with the utmost urgency to discuss the situation with the Saudi government. In line with the Arabian Peninsula Cooperation Agreement (APCA), Great Britain would like to ask permission to station aircraft in Sakaka Airbase, totalling up to 3 squadrons of aircraft. Britain would also like to gift thirty Hunter F.6s and fifteen Hunter FGA.9s to replace older British jets in the Saudi Air Force [those being older Hunter F.1s, Swift F.1s, and Vampire FB.5s].
Kuwait
Britain would like to assist in the development of a plan for the peaceful, complete, and safe independence of Kuwait. Following independence, Britain will work with Kuwait to ensure the nation remains safe and stable. However, Kuwaitβs position in the region puts it in a potentially dangerous position, and as such, Britain formally invites and urges Kuwait to join APCA as a condition of independence.
With the joining of APCA, Great Britain and the United States can continue to protect Kuwait by providing appropriate military equipment and training of local defense forces whilst providing Kuwait with military autonomy. Britain would also like to discuss the creation of a joint air base in the nation for the purposes of training and defense.
Oman
Whilst Oman is in a much safer position than much of the Arabian peninsula due to its geographical location, Great Britain has nonetheless felt it prudent to offer Oman an invitation to join the Arabian Peninsula Cooperation Agreement. With the joining of APCA, Britain and the United States would provide appropriate military equipment and training for local defense forces.
Aden Protectorate
The current situation of the Kingdom of Yemen & the Aden Protectorate concerns Britain greatly. The threat of the North Yemen civil war spilling over into the Aden Protectorate may ultimately destroy both states.
Britain would like to oversee a non-binding referendum in the Eastern and Western Protectorate to judge whether the nation should gain its independence as a single nation, a union of nations, or as two separate nations. It seems like the Royal families in the Arabian Peninsula are rarely talked about in this sub. I can't add all royal families in the poll so I chose the ones I'm mostly familiar with.
Many times when i discuss how islam spread with my muslim friends (who arenβt from the arabian peninsula) they say iβm lying when i tell em islam spread through conquest and colonization.
And if they sometimes cave in and realize the truth they say βitβs okay cause they won fair and squareβ, i hit them them with βwell doesnβt that make isreal righteous in taking over the palestine area?β (this makes em suspicious if im even muslim anymore but i dont really care as long as they dont have proof)
Isnβt it crazy? History is truly written by the victorious one, Arabs managed to make them believe islam spread to them peacefully.
Yet they insist their ancestors converted by choice, imagine this? your village gets raided by a fuckton of arabian warriors and they give you the options:
- Convert to islam and be ruled by us
- stay a non muslim but pay a tax for simply not believing in islam
- We kill all your men take all ur property and enslave ur women and children
Its obvious which choice is the best.
