A list of puns related to "Aphrodite's Child"
Hi guys! I'm looking for some places on the internet where my target audience is just waiting for content like mine.
I release weekly videos about obscure bands that have fascinating histories, and I'd really love it if I could share my new videos here and be able to discuss the bands with the wonderful people of reddit. I'm not a redditer, so please let me know the etiquette, haha.
This week's video is about Aphrodite's Child! A Greek Psychedelic pop/rock group lead by Vangelis until his ambition lead to their demise.
Greek composer Vangelis is best known for soundtracks like "Chariots of Fire" and "Blade Runner" as well as his duo with Jon Anderson from YES.
Very interesting.
It's like that's why falling for someone hurts. Cause you are getting hit with Cupid's (the roman equivalent of Eros) arrow. It hurts like a sharp arrow but it's pleasurable at the same time and you want more and more of that person.

I dare say this is one of the best progressive rock records of all time, and personally one of my favorites in music in general. I could say many virtues of the album (a mix between progressive and symphonic), and why it is so magnificent (such as its versatility, setting, mastery of the instruments, complexity, among many other aspects), but I prefer now to recommend it with all my heart to this beautiful community, because I don't see that it is well known or commented on, not even around here, I saw it in a couple of lists among the many that there are of progressive rock albums (that if, at the level of classics like In The Court Of The Crimson King, or Wish You Were Here), but nothing else. I want to see what they think, and if they still don't listen, they know what to do. Postscript: I would also venture to say that the solo on "The Four Horsemen" is one of the most epic guitar solos in the genre.
Heya...apols for gatecrashing the Gizz forum (i am a mega Gizz fan of course!), but since i'm relatively new to reddit...just thought i'd ask around on here if you've heard of this Greek prog/psyche band?
You may have heard of a song used on the current Ford Kuba (i think that's it's name..not car savvy sorry!) advert, with one of their best known songs The Four Horsemen. I want to get a decent copy of this double album from which it's from... 666. 1st pressings are going for silly money now..but in 2019 Vertigo released a limited edition double transparent red edition...now all long sold out. I'd like to get one of these preferably from someone in the UK and if poss unplayed. Discogs only has overseas vendors...and Ebay has two..both at stupid money. Willing to pay a reasonable price...anybody got a copy i can have...please?
If you've never heard of this band....then you'll probably have heard of two of it's main members....Vangelis and Demis Roussos....yeah him! Ol' hairy squeaky voice! lol!
I have looked on the prog rock, clasic rock threads on here..couldn't see any for sale.
I am just simply fascinated by this song. The chilling intro, along with the powerful, raw drumming in the latter half of the song compliment by a great rock solo. Anyone have similar tunes in mind?

One of the great and largely forgotten bands of the prog era. Their first 2 albums were psychedelic/art/folk rock with prog leanings. Being Greek, the band apparently had a French speaker to write lyrics for them, leading to some admittedly weak songwriting in a grammatical sense. Yet, their third album 666, the magnum opus, is among the best albums of its time, an overwhelmingly powerful concept record with typically prog style guitar solos and instrumentals. The Four Horsemen has one of the best solos in rock history.
