This apparently, as its primary definition, means "to foreshadow vaguely", and I can't think of a single situation that it would possibly be useful. And I say this as an English teacher, who often uses terms like foreshadowing to teach literature. Foreshadowing already means hinting at a future plot point, so what possible distinction could there be between a hint in the text and a vague hint? Even in the most nuanced doctoral paper I can't see this having utility. Why does this word exist, and who has ever used itβ½
