A list of puns related to "Without Evidence"

Edit g- apparently this is only temporary for now. I didn't see it on that page, but I'm an idiot. Definitely double check :)
Iβm an atheist so I donβt think any of the religions are right, but when trying to defend faith people try to show evidence. So which religion does the best job at that?
Saying βitβs in the Bibleβ isnβt evidence, but historical records of the existence of Jesus could be considered evidence.
Thatβs not to say that the existence of Jesus is inherent proof of his divinity however but it may be convincing enough for some
I'm wondering this very seriously. Please bear with me. I'm trying to imagine the utility of faith and by extension the emphasis on faith building experiences in the church. Is this a skill that must be developed in this life? If so, why?
I know the Sunday School response. We need to build faith to become more like God. We need faith to repent and gain access to the power of the Atonement. Eventually, we need faith, as it is the power by which the worlds were and are created.
So what is faith? Essentially, faith is believing something for which we do not have evidence (that we hope is true). If we had evidence, then we would not need faith in that particular thing. We would know. So why faith?
Or maybe it is more useful to ask, how do we show faith? I would argue that we show faith initially by taking a step into the dark. We do something (read the Book of Mormon, pray, stop a harmful habit, etc.), and hope to see a beneficial result. That is a useful kind of faith. It is a curious, investigative type of faith. Some might call it scientific curiosity. We have to try new things and investigate. That is a good thing. When we show faith and take a step toward something that we hope is true, then see the result, we can gain a testimony of that thing based on the evidence. If I live the Word of Wisdom, I can see that I avoid some negative health consequences.
My issue with faith, as currently advocated by some in the church, is that it takes a step beyond the basic curiosity leading to investigation and testing that yields an observable result. Faith as described by current leadership means that you have an expected result in your head from the start, and nothing should dissuade you from it. You are not going in with an open mind. You are not willing to accept the results of your experiment unless they align with your preconceived notions. Faith, as currently advocated by the church, means believing despite the evidence. A popular way to phrase it today is choosing to believe. Well that's where faith breaks down for me. I cannot choose to believe something for which I do not feel I have sufficient evidence.
I believe things because I try them, see the result, repeat the test, see that the result was the same, and now I have some rational basis for belief. But what I cannot do is say, "I dropped the ball ten times, and all ten times it fell to the ground, but I am going to choose to believe that gravity did not
... keep reading on reddit β‘This is a genuine question and I am interested to know.
I may elaborate some more specific things later but for know those is all I ask.
I've taken other forensics courses but this professor seemed really interested in talking about killing people without leaving any evidence. We had an entire lecture about killing someone with ice. Is this normal or should I avoid this professor?
Wondering if other ENFJ types do this... Sometimes I'll go off vibes from someone or a situation or social context, it's like knowing something without having firm evidence to point to, based on phrases or behaviors or actions. I'll try to explain to someone why I think or feel the way I do and I have nothing to point to except "vibes" or half-actions that don't seem to reveal as much to everybody else.
Hopefully, this makes sense. Just wondering if I'm alone in this or if it's relatable!
The governments all fold like a cheap suit since they're all simps for billionaires.
Edit3: I am not saying El Salvador is the cause of the drop. Just trying to point out lots of shit happens in the crypto world that can cause price swings.
Example is the post with like 8K+ upvotes with a generic claim about SHFs needing liquidity without a shred of proof.
Now with the latest drop of cryptic currency, if you even follow that scene just a little bit youβd know that El Salvador was adopting crypto today as a currency. Fuckery going on? Maybe. Related to GME? Most likely not.
Also if you follow that scene youβd know it went up from 30K to 50K in about a month or so. A drop of 10-20% is nothing new in that scene especially if the low point only touched the -20% for a minute.
Just look at the 1m vs 15m chart. https://imgur.com/a/6JfO7pt
Also during the years it is very clear that Bitchcoin dictates movements in that market since almost everything is pegged to it. So it is no surprise that if that coin drops, the rest drops. It has been this way for years.
I am all for solid DD but the posts like the one I mentioned really make us look like idiots especially if you follow the cryptic market. Truth is that not everything in the world revolves around or is linked to GME.
TLDR; buy and hold, donβt take everything you see here as fact especially when no proof is given.

A troll reported one of my comments as "threatening violence".
The notification I received from Admins is that I threatened violence, but the link to the comment does not go anywhere (verified by other users). I didn't post anything remotely threatening and this is similar to being reported as a suicide risk.
Other than ignoring the individual who reports (there's no way to know who it was or what was even said that they allegedly reported) what do we do about baseless claims that are basically the online equivalent of swatting?
I grew up learning in various educational contexts (from white people so idk if it's true) that the indigenous peoples where I am from, western Oregon USA, originally had developed this method for boiling water.
First, a watertight basket was woven which was used to hold the water intended to boil. Then one by one, large stones we placed in the fire until extremely hot, and then quickly transferred into the basket until the basket water got hot. This could be done, apparently, to get fluids very hot
I heard this story a couple of times from different people do I have wondered if it might be true. I know it's possible to bend and work wood to make it watertight and can imagine the rock idea being possible, if not entirely practical for the payoff. Thank you!
I got banned yesterday after playing BGs with my friend as a group, we were on discord and activily playing the battleground. come to find out the next day i was banned for 8 days for AFKing/inactivity in BGs.
or at least so i think there are no details apart from that line saying i was banned for afking/inactivity.
ofcourse i appeal this ticket and get the automated response saying that there was indeed evidence suggesting the ban was rightfull and they will not disclose any further information.
Knowing for a fact you didn't afk and were having fun playing with a friend makes this such so infuriating cause you know you weren't guilty of the offense.
if i was banned for anything else then why not disclose the real reason i got the ban. how are you supposed to improve your behavior and actions when blizzard is just like:
hihi i ban you, not telling you why tho, hihi, better not do that thing i didn't tell you about again. hihi might permaban you and you'll never know why, hihi
it's beyond ridiculous, sorry for the rant
So, I bought a three pack of chicken tenderloins, got them home and they were spoiled. Like nasty smelling, clearly off. My wife tossed them immediately (pregnant couldn't handle it). I would have taken them back to Costco, but it was Christmas and they were closed already. So I figured I could dig through the trash in order to put that mess back in the fridge or just head into Costco next time with nothing (except my receipt). I brought in my receipt and the employee at returns counter told me they can't do it. I asked him to check with a manager and they eventually did it. Anyway, i guess my question is: what would you have done here? What should i do next time? That kinda thing. Thanks for reading.
Not me. This is in Canada. One of my friend's dad got arranged married recently to someone from Pakistan, he paid to fly her out and advocated for her green card which was denied before. After 2 months of living together in Canada as a newly wed she filed 60+ charges on him all being assault and sexual assault and wants a divorce.
I heard from my friend that this is pretty common green card scam and his dad didnt do anything.
I'm curious like.. whats going to happen ? Did the wife secure residency ? Or is the dad going to jail..? Anyone take up a similar case like this
btw to be CLEAR this isnt asking for legal advice im just curious what a possible outcome would be given that its basically a he said she said
