A list of puns related to "Welcome to the Ballroom"
(no spoilers this a recommendation post)
I think it's safe to say Welcome to the Ballroom (Ballroom e Youkoso) might be my single favorite sports anime, and it makes me extremely sad to see it barely talked about on both Reddit and Youtube, I'd like to fill that gap with this post.
Ballrooms main character is Tatara, a teenager who comes from a very poor family and is struggling to decide what to do with his future. He hasn't found anything he's passionate about and believes he can change as a person when he does. A set of circumstances occur where he's introduced to Ballroom Dancing and it finally ignites the passion inside of him. This is all I'll say about the story because I believe it's better to experience it yourself, the first episode is a really good introduction episode.
Ballroom is animated by the prestigious Production IG, the ones behind both Kukoro no Basket and Haikyuu, and they don't disappoint here, as the character animation during the training and dancing sequences truly shines and is captivating to watch. One thing about the visual design that a lot of people have a problem with is the elongated necks during the dance sequences (and only the dance sequences). I will 100% admit that this was the main reason I've avoid this show for a long time, because it really did look weird to me. When I finally began watching it, you notice that when such dancing sequences come and they're animated so beautifully, long necks are literally the last thing on your mind.
Here's a small snippet from the op which has dance sequences spliced in, see it for yourself (0:54)
The music also doesn't disappoint, whether it the classic tracks they use for the Waltz dance sequences or the energetic songs they use for the Tango styled sequences, they always have you tapping your foot alongside them. This is not to put down the original soundtrack of the show, as it also has some really HYPE tracks included within it. This one's my favorite.
Whether it be likable characters that develop and learn throughout the story, fluid animation or a beautiful soundtrack, this show's got it all. I urge you to move it up in your never ending plan to watch list as I am confident it has a good chance of entering your favorites as it has mine.

So captivated were the divers, that they failed to notice the long appendage preparing to string up its new puppets.
I've been told to bring ear plugs, but not sure if I should bring anything else. Should I bring water? A snack maybe? My ticket says there's a signing event. Should I bring something for them to sign, or can I buy merch while I'm there? Can I buy the merch with my debit card, or should I bring cash? Questions, questions.
Also...do the mods know they're starting a tour tomorrow? They should probably update the tour dates on the sidebar!

Anyone ever seen this done before? Just wondering if people who already purchased tickets are going to have to pick seats or everyone is going to get GA Standing.
There's going to be another pre-sale also starting on the 22nd to the 23rd for her two Chicago shows
Thank you for an amazing night, and safe travels.
I never like to pay flipper prices for any band but seeing as I recently just got into them earlier this year, I had to do it because I am in fucking in love with this band. Tickets total were about $110 for two which I've been keeping track of the prices and I think that was the lowest they were gonna get, oh well next time they come through I'll definitely be on alert for their presales.
I bought Carrion Crawler on vinyl earlier this year after looking for it forever since it's the album that introduced me to them from Spotify's algorithm and Joshua Homme's Alligator Hour playlist that I follow. I also grabbed the Face Stabber pre-order and just bought Mutilator defeated at last and Floating Coffin. I am now on the hunt for Smote Reverser and Orc but not sure if I should wait for the show to grab them since it's gonna be insane attempting to hold on to anything at their show.
Any reccomendations on which albums to listen to next?
Is anyone dressing up for this Halloween show? Super excited for my first show to be on Halloween and especially at the Terragram Ballroom, one of my favorite venues in Los Angeles and ready to make it a memorable one! Glad to be a fan of these guys and what looks to be an amazing community on here!

So disappointed that I couldn't get Sara Bareilles tickets. I set a reminder, went to the website 5 minutes early. I refreshed. I went to add two ticket to my cart - as soon as I clicked to check out it said it was sold out. In literally 5 seconds. WTF
