Resources for fanfic writers. SPOILERS!

Just thought I'd share some additional tools and templates that I've created for Demon Slayer fanfic writers that might be useful for others.

Why include these specific things?: Because the author tends to neglect which episodes are weather and date accurate and I don't blame them. That those wouldn't really change the story too much anyway, but for fanfic writers wanting a little more depth to their own. Here it is.

Plus, there are a few things that I consider important that a few fanfic authors may not realise they missed. Such as travel time and that slayers aren't expected to kill demons on opposite ends of the country. They would most likely be organised into specific regions like the hashiras themselves and only pulled from them, when a nearby region is lacking enough manpower.

The only tricky part was trying to figure out when the twice-yearly hashira meetings were, since it's unlikely that they would want to hold them during the winter and pick the most agreeable weather considers for Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Plus, I like seeing and imaging that the Master is always speaking to them out in the open each time like he does in the anime/manga. Bar emergency meetings of course.

LAST EDITED: 14TH JANUARY @ 17:50 EST - Start of Taisho era date added.

[FAQ] Innocent + Innocent Rouge

What is Innocent (& Innocent Rouge)?

Innocent (γ‚€γƒŽγ‚΅γƒ³ ) is a manga series written and drawn by Sakamoto Shinichi and his team. The story mainly focuses on the Sansons, a family of executioners in Paris, France. They carried out executions before, during, and after the French Revolution. The ruling monarchy - King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette - are also featured later on in the series.

Innocent Rouge is the sequel and the name change occurred when Innocent in Weekly Young Jump (2013 - 2015) moved to Grand Jump (2015 - 2020).

Where can I read/buy Innocent (& Innocent Rouge)?

There is no official English release of Innocent or Innocent Rouge. English readers will have to google "Innocent manga" to read the unofficial fan translation.

Alternatively, there is an official Japanese, French, and Spanish release.

Who is Sakamoto Shinichi?

Sakamoto Shinichi ( ε‚ζœ¬ηœžδΈ€ ) is a professional mangaka known for historical manga series (e.g. Kokou no Hito, #DRCL midnight children). In 2010 and 2021, Sakamoto won the Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival. His works have also been nominated for other awards, such as the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize and Manga Taishō.

In a 2019 interview, Sakamoto has said:

>"I thought at first that manga was something read and then thrown away... Now I want to make something that stays close to readers, something that remains, this is what currently motivates me to draw manga."

What is the inspiration for Innocent?

Innocent is based on a novel by Masakatsu Adachi, The Executioner Sanson. Sakamoto and his team also consult other historical documents and pictures to draw landscapes, buildings, and period clothing.

Ask any questions in the comments and I will try my best to answer and add to this FAQ!

SERIOUS: This subreddit needs to understand what a "dad joke" really means.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

These aren't dad jokes...

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.

If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.

Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
