A list of puns related to "Vitamin B12"
Hi guys, I'm planning to take Quercetin+Zinc+Magnesium+B6 before going to bed. And Vitamin D3+ E + B12 + Boron for the morning. Do i do it right? Should I take Boron at night too?
I've got heterozygous c677t and a1298c confirmed with a LabCorp test. I'm waiting on my raw data from ancestry so I can figure out what other genes may be complicating the matter. I have looked at the methylation charts of my sister, brother, mother and father and know that it's possible that I also have vitamin D and B12 uptake inhibition.
Here's the thing: I see posts on this sub about being careful with their dosage of methyl donors because they get weird when they have too much at once.
I can't seem to get enough of it. I had to double up on these 3 vitamins as a last ditch effort to pull myself out of a nosedive caused sleep deprivation (I have a toddler). My physical therapy is now actually effective after I upped my vit D and I'm on my way to discharge. I have energy enough to gasp work out. It's fucking amazing.
Is there anyone else out there like me? I'd love to hear your experience.
Thank you!
My vitamin b12 is 1068 units. Test report says that normal range is below 950 units. I don't take any supplements.
I am being tested for an autoimmune disease (ankylosing spondylitis particularly).
DoI need to worry about my elevated b12 levels? Also, what can be the cause? I am very worried.
I normally take a multivitamin in the morning and vitamin B12 with my dinner ( my partner wanted to start taking it) I stopped taking it a few days this week and I noticed the golfball feeling started to go away/non existent. However I had my first one last night and today the golfball feeling is slightly back. Is there any way B12 aggravates prostatitis or is this just a coincidence ?
Hi there!
I was going to buy some vitamin B12 and I was comparing the dosages between brands and it made no sense to me what so ever. How can 100mcg equal a %DV of 1667% in first brand when 1000mcg equals 41% in the second brand and then 0,5mg = 20000 % (daily intake) in french brand ?
I looked up what it all meant and I understand how much one should take, how much is absorbed etc but between the brands, the calculations just donβt add up.
Iβm sure Iβm missing some crucial and obvious information but Iβve done my research and still canβt figure it out.
Can someone explain to me why the ratio amount(mcg)-daily value is so different from one brand to another ?
Iβm very confused. Thanks!
I have been on trt for about half a year. I have just noticed my B12 level is very high (~1150 pmol/L) from the past blood works. I am not sure of my B12 levels before trt as I was never tested for it. I will talk to my trt clinic next week, but does anyone know what's could be causing this? Thanks.
Long ago, a friend switched to mostly plant-based diet. After a few months I believe she started complaining about brain fog, weakness and mild depression (and completely abandoned it as an unfortunate consequence).
I didn't know about B12 back then, now it seems obvious she was missing either B12 or a few other important nutrients like niacin, iron or the like. (and probably had no instructions or tests done)
If that's a major pain point in making people switch to plant-based, shouldn't we focus on awareness about it? The solution is quite simple (taking supplements for B12 is essential). Blood tests seem important as well.
I'm think we could do something like a B12 awareness month, and encourage spreading information on the most important nutrients in a plant-based diet.
All my vitamins level are corrected now. But still have buzzing sensation in my left leg and dizziness. Anyone who had experienced same issue. Will it ever go away ??? I have not seen any improved in the above symptom.
B12 - from 159 to 500 Vitamin D - 13 to 54 Folic acid -4 to 22
My brain MRI reports are normal.
I'm doing more and more research and more answers will show up on my profile or subreddits if I find any further as by no means am I a doctor or other medical professional but I'm going through this and this is helping me recover fast as heck also checkout my previous post on my profile. In the beginning of this year I went for an annual checkup and found out that I was low on few vitamins but the main one was the Vitamin B12. this is one of those vitamins that has to do some thing with the blood and when this is low, the red blood cells that carry oxygen are low as well. because of which the nutrients and mainly oxygen are not fed to the muscles and hence the muscles end up being tense and contracted and after that you feel the pain which also leads to penile contraction called HF. so when you do your annual checkups, make sure you point out that with the blood tests that will be done by the doctor, the B12 and Vitamin D tests be added as well.
Which of the following will not cause vitamin B12 deficiency?
1 Insufficient iron storage
2 Drug effects
How do you think I should approach this question?
I'm unfortunately a year-long+ sufferer of serious vitamin B12 deficiency. Very thankful to have figured out why I was going through hell for no clear reason. I'm almost in disbelief that one vitamin so negatively impacted my life for so long. Anyone have or know a medical doctor who is familiar with the issues that surround this condition? My primary, urgent-care docs, ER docs, ENT, neuro, etc all missed this completely and sent me down too many medical testing and medication rabbit holes to even begin to explain in one post. I don't yet know why I'm so deficient, but B12 injections have been a literal life-saver.
If this sounds absurd and you have no idea why this post exists, this basically sums up my life: https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/vitamin-b12-deficiency-can-be-sneaky-harmful-201301105780
Thanks ATL Reddit, hope y'all are doing great.
Edit: it's not diet related, I was also already taking a B-complex supplement. Looks like it'll be either genetic issue or some type of disease keeping me from absorbing B12 in traditional way.
impractical. How could humans ever have realistically evolved to a vegan diet, if they had no way to obtain B12? Primates apparently get B12 from eating animals & insects?
Hmm
So, this could be placebo effect, but i have a mild to moderate vitamin d and b12 deficiency. When i started finally being good about taking gummies daily, a bit higher than the regular suggestion, it seemed to make my meds work better.
Both deficiencies can cause pain and fatigue, and estimates are nearly half of people have a d deficiency, and its probably worse in winter. Vitamin d has also been associated with worse covid symptoms*, so maybe its worth a try.
I personally use gummies because my body just seems to ignore regular vitamins and actually seems to digest gummies. Regular vitamins also tend to make me barf, so ymmv.
Hope this is helpful to someone.
I would appreciate any insight, thank you! β¨
Hey! I got my blood results and my vitamin b12 level is 357 pg/ml in the range 187-883 is it low? should I consider taking pills? I eat meat 3-4 time per week.
My stomach can't take pills of B12, so I was told Sublingual is best. What brand does not upset the stomach?
Anyone experienced vitamin deficiency after contracting mono? Took 60000 IU of vitamin D in a week but nothing worked and b12 is deficient after contracting EBV
