A list of puns related to "University of Edinburgh"
As part of some research I'm doing, I would really like to access some documents held at the University of Edinburgh archives (they're lists of British soldiers wounded at the Battle of Waterloo - you can see some here http://libraryblogs.is.ed.ac.uk/edinburghuniversityarchives/tag/battle-of-waterloo/_)
There are about a hundred pages I think, which I want to take photos of. I think it would only take less than an hour. At the moment I'm looking into taking a day off work to fly to Edinburgh, take copies of the documents, then fly back, but it seems a bit crazy.
If anyone might be interested in doing it for me, I would be happy to reciprocate with research done here down south (I often go to the Public Record Office at Kew, south London, for example).
It's a stab in the dark, I know, but thought I'd ask! Please pm if you might be up for it - thanks!
Hello,
I am going to be coming over to Scotland to earn my MBA in Fall 2020. After touring the different schools I was considering, I narrowed it down to the University of Glasgow or the University of Edinburgh. For the most part, I felt like Edinburgh was my top choice. And, as luck would have it, I received my offer letter today for their program. I have about a month to make a decision, and while I am pretty confident that U of E is the right place for me, I thought I would pose the question here - is one school more well regarded than the other?
I loved the campus of University of Glasgow, but I don't know if that is really a good enough reason to choose them. So, are there any other reasons why I might want to take a deeper look at Glasgow, or is Edinburgh the "better" university out of the two, particularly for business.
Thanks! Looking forward to my temporary (and hopefully I can stretch it out longer) stay in Scotland!
I see that you only take about 3 classes, so I'm wondering what the work load is like. I'm trying to keep studying animation on my own and I'm wondering if I'd have much free time for travel and independent study.
I'm planning on studying abroad in university of Edinburgh so just wondering if anyone would have any advice such as personal statement, interview or anything :)
I don't recall seeing anything on the site. My question is with regard to their CS courses?
Hello,
So I recently got off the waitlist at UCB, I was planning on going to Edinburgh but now I am not sure. I am from California, so I would pay in-state tuition, but because uni in America is whack it about the same for me to go to Edinburgh internationally. So money is not an issue here. I am planning on majoring in linguistics and politics. I have until tomorrow to decide, and I am really confused.
Hello! I am an American going into my last year of high school and I am wanting to apply to the university of Edinburgh to study history. However, since Iβm not terribly confident in the British application system, I have a few questions. For anyone who has or is applying/applied/is studying at a British university, is there anything specific I should know about the application process? How different is the British university system? What are the requirements for an international applicant? Thank you!
Hello, I am in a real pickle right now because I can't decide which school to go to. Wustl will give me some financial aid, which puts the costs at around 40k a year. But, I want to go to the best school and I like them all. Please you guys are my only hope. P.S. I am somewhat inclined to go to Wustl, but the international experience at kings or Edinburgh might be really cool.
Hello r/Edinburgh redditors. I'm looking for people for my dissertation survey! Hopefully this wont get removed as I am a resident and student.
I'm looking at how speakers of different languages retrieve and manipulate information associated with different words.
The survey can be filled out by anyone of any age, sex, gender, or ethnicity, however you must be a native speaker of ENGLISH and have no reading impairments
I'm happy to answer any more questions if anyone has any!
