A list of puns related to "Tulane Stadium"
https://twitter.com/TulaneAthletics/status/1244729958024478729
The checkerboard pattern in the end zones have been replaced.
The hottest Super Bowl would take place one year later, when the Dolphins capped their perfect season with a Super Bowl VII victory over the Redskins in 84-degree Los Angeles heat.
...and since it's the off season, feel free to include major expansions or renovations of existing stadiums.
I am looking to get a print on canvas if I can find a good image to use of the Saints in the old Tulane Stadium. My Dad's first Saints game was when he was 6 in 1968 so anything pre Superdome is what I am trying to find. I am scouring the internet, but if anybody in Who Dat nation has any suggestions, they are greatly appreciated.
PS: Living in Atlanta. #FTF
They didn't give us a map, but that plaza doesn't look to enormous on the compact footprint where Yulman is located. The first person to post it on the sub (and you can make it a separate post) will also get a gold bounty from me as a thank you!
Is it open to the public at all?
There's even a live video stream.

It was 39 F. They played outside at Tulane Stadium, this was before the Dome was built. It's still the coldest field conditions for a Super Bowl.

> With Saturday's game now being played in Norman, Tulane is the home team and will keep all revenue; OU fans will have additional opportunities to buy tickets.
i only capitalized ou that one time because this is good stuff.
Is there anyone who was let down by the Revamped experience? Curious to see if anyone favors NCAA 14 over Revamped.
Yes, it was 50 years ago today that the Cowboys defeated the Dolphins in Super Bowl VI.
The game was played in New Orleans, but not in the Superdome that most of us are familiar with, as that arena would not be built for another three years. The site was the old Tulane Stadium. It was also a very unseasonably cold day for this southern city, with a temperature of 35 degrees at kickoff.
The Cowboys dominated the game on both sides of the ball. Defensively, the upstart Dolphins would score just 3 points, the only team to fail to score a touchdown until the Rams did it as well 47 years later. The Fins, despite the presence of Hall of Famers Bob Griese, Paul Warfield and Larry Csonka, only mustered 185 total yards. All told, the Cowboys defense gave up only 18 points and a single touchdown over the course of their three playoff games. Suffocating.
In contrast, game MVP Roger Staubach was masterful, posting a 115 PR before the stat existed, while the Cowboys trucked the Dolphins defense on the ground for a whopping 248 yards rushing.
This game was vindication for Coach Tom Landry, who had come up short in big games before. Under his tenure, the Cowboys had lost NFL championship games to the Packers in 1966 and 1967, and also the previous year's Super Bowl to the Colts. But today was his day.
The champion Cowboys were a mix of old and young. Hall of Famers Roger Staubach, Cliff Harris, Bob Hayes and Mel Renfro all won their first championship rings in this game. On the other hand, Mike Ditka, who caught a TD pass, won a second to go with the title he won with the 1963 Bears. And two other Hall of Famers, Forrest Gregg and Herb Adderley, won their sixth championship rings, as both had played on all five Packers titlists in the 1960s. Adderley won six rings in his 12 seasons in the league, probably the best rings-to-seasons ratio in NFL history.
Congratulations to the 1971 Cowboys
