A list of puns related to "Trick or Treat (band)"
Happy Halloween!
Edit: looks like a few people have taken this post a bit more seriously than I intended π. Everybody that came to my house got candy, no questions asked.
When they added the candy bowl for the Halloween "Trick or Treat" event I knew I needed to build something around it using the "random switch". For anyone that's never played around with it the random switch comes from the advanced connector plan and every time you turn it on it will choose (randomly) to power the connector on the right or the left of the switch - which makes it ideal for Trick or Treat.
So I built a Mothman church and filled it with worshiping mothmen. But the mothman demands sacrifice. Beyond the parishners you'll find the room where the game begins. Players are presented with a button with doors labeled "Trick" and "Treat". Once they flip the switch there's a 50% chance that the door for "Treat" will open, revealing the candy bowl and an exit from the room. But there is also a 50% chance that the door for "Trick" will open and the entire room will be filled with a fast killing radiation. Whether you live or die, it's entirely up to chance... or perhaps the Mothman:
Notes about the build:
In order to prevent people from spam flipping the switch I put it behind a powered door that would close as soon as the switch was flipped (blocking it from being accessed). You'll notice actually every time someone flips a switch, both this door and the entrance close. The secret behind this is using powered speakers (which you can hear sometimes when the switch is flipped) to re-route which objects receive power. This essentially routes power away from these 2 doors (which take 1 power each) and towards powered speakers (which take 1 power each) on either side of the random switch.

Just curious.
Did you make an actual haunted house for trick-or-treaters to run through for their candy, or did you just put out a bowl?
I dedicated one of my camp spots to a haunted house that will stay, year round.
It has 5 sections, each with their own themes, each behind a switch door so there's no skipping.
Candy bowl is at the end, behind a switch door, and a copper ore machine is at the exit door, for an extra reward.
Might post pics or video of the walkthrough later, but was curious who all spent the extra effort for their visitors?
Seriously, what is so wrong with people doing an innocent, fun activity that isn't really hurting anyone just because they've reached some arbitrary number where they're considered "too old." I've heard people say it's weird and creepy but I've never seen them give a reason why other than basically "it just is." I genuinely want to know what makes it weird to a lot of people.
Recently moved to Madison, taking my 4&7 year olds out for Halloween tonight! They are so. excited. So hereβs my question- I think in this season of life we are more about quality than quantity. We arenβt trying to run around to 100 houses haha. Do you know of or do you live in a nice little community that really likes to decorate for Halloween? Preferably one that has plenty of street parking? Haha. So maybe we hit up a block or two but we see some really fun outdoor decor? I think that would really make the experience for my kids more than candy! Thank you for your input!
Loads of kids escorted by their - often costumed - families and friends, fun and laughs, and respect for the darkened house when the candy ran out. Happy Halloween indeed! π
I love baking pumpkin seeds, but my results are always mixed.
I wash them, pat dry, remove the strings. air dry for several hours.
I have tried coating in oil, no oil, salting not salting....cook at 300 until crunchy.
would like a fool proof way from Jack O lantern to crunchy goodness! help?
oh and I just have a standard electric oven
Any places on or off campus? Any neighborhoods??
The last couple of years, halloween has been real quick because some guy decided to pick up all the kids and drive them through the neighborhood to unleash them upon us all at once.
You go from about zero to 100 in about a second. All the trick or treating happens in like five minutes.
Some guy with a sooped up quad rolls up with the areas youth in his trailer. Complete with the seats and blankets for the in-betweens.
The kids roll up on their hover boards and question our candy selection. Grab some and hover away back to the transport. The parents are all up the street partying. And then it is over.
If you don't want your kids out trick or treating alone, go with them.
Back in my day it was a planned event for maximum loot. And we had to work for it. The pillowcase technique and a ton of steps. And this was only like 2010.
What happened?
Hey Guys,
Really wanting to get it first 1/6 Michael Myers figure. The best 1/6 figures I have seen look to be from TOTS. I am torn between them, does anyone have any of the figures and can advise? The 2018 looks quite cool and so does the original.
Just moved into a new apartment this year right next to Eden park over in walnut hills, and I have zero clue how popular itβs going to be as most of the places Iβve lived before here so far werenβt, and want to get a gauge on how much candy to buy
