A list of puns related to "Total Sports Publishing"
Yesterday evening, CBS Sports incorrectly used a Brian Windhorst quote to publish an article with the following headline:
You can read the cache'd version of the article here and check out the reddit reactions here (the thread is still on the /r/NBA front page at this time).
When it was revealed today by Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports that Kevin Durant had been cleared to practice, not only did CBS not own up publishing a misleading story, they tried to completely sweep it under the rug. Visiting the original article now simply redirects you to a new story with the following headline:
Go ahead and read the following URL and then click it and see what happens:
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/kevin-durant-injury-update-warriors-star-struggled-during-practice-isnt-ready-to-play-per-report/
The right move here would have been to leave the initial story up and simply add an update, admitting to the readers that the story had changed or had been poorly reported. Instead, they hid the previous story and redirected it to a new one, acting as if they never posted the misleading one in the first place.
There are plenty of Image series I'd love to see get some fancy editions. Murder Falcon deserves a big over-sized deluxe special edition, and I'd love a nice hardcover complete collection of Pretty Deadly.
As for Marvel/DC I just want some good reprints of their crossovers please.
Dear Ledger Team, I have been using my ledger nano for years already and I always felt safe trusting my crypto to your hardware wallet. The update to Ledger Live 2 changed my perspective and I consider it a total desaster. This subreddit is full of users complaining about malfunctions. For myself, Live 2.0 didn't connect to my device and Live 2.0.1 only worked in parts, for example I couldn't access my XRP funds any more though the other coins worked normally.
It took me 3 hours, 4 different USB cables, 2 factory resets where the Ledger got stuck in "Bootloader" and 1 hour of panicking, if I destroyed my device and whether I could still find my backup words that are digged in a forest - until I realized that you updated your Linux drivers and that prevented Ledger Live 2.0.1 to access a part of my crypto (specifally only XRP). With no word you mentioned the need to update Linux drivers in your latest release. Thanks God, now everything works fine again.
I really urge you to extensively test your software before rolling it out! A hardware wallet is a very sensitive tool that stores siginificant amounts of money. It is of utmost importance that it works reliable and funds can be accessed at any time.
In the last years we have seen a dangerous trend of developers rolling out half-ready updates which break systems - only to name Windows 10 and Boeing 737-max as the most tragic ones. If you really feel the need to update your software, then please act responsible and thoroughly test your software before rolling it out.
Most of us don't really care about fancy new features such as the pink colour (though it's nice to have), what we really care about is that we can access our money. Thank you for your consideration. And thank you to everybody that commented on this post, I highly appreciate your sympathy and wish you all the best that you can make your Ledger run again!
Hello i am trying to post a project to Heroku but get limeted by the slusize of the file. I have tried building it both with pushing it along with a git file and without. Any ideas how i can get down the slug-size? The biggest file is a trained machine learning model which is needed to generate data, can i perhaps download this from within the code or is the size restricted for total file-size in the project?
You heroku gurus surely got some great lifehack for these kind of situations.
Thanks in advance!
I do blog work that results in semi-frequent updates of old content. I havenβt seen my total word count change after I do any revision, however. Does Wordpress change your total word count to reflect revisions?
Also how can anyone take BYU seriously hen it bares the name of a sexist, racist, bigot? Like a Mao Community College or Jim Jones Technical Institute or David Duke prepatory academy. Donβt get me started on J. Ruben Clark law school. They are not even ashamed of their racism.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 25%. (I'm a bot)
> Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has been one of the world's most high-profile coronavirus outliers since the pandemic began, often downplaying the gravity of the global health crisis.
> As of Saturday - when global coronavirus deaths passed 400,000 - Brazil has stopped publishing a running total of COVID-19 deaths and infections in what many see as an attempt to hide the coronavirus' true toll in the country, The Associated Press reports.
> The federal Health Ministry took down a website Friday that showed daily, weekly, and monthly coronavirus figures in Brazilian states.
> The site returned Saturday, minus the total numbers; it now shows only the data for the previous 24 hours, per AP. The last official count showed 615,000 infections and 34,000 deaths, the second and third highest marks in the world, respectively, and some experts believe the world's seventh most populous country is the epicenter of the virus.
> While the consensus is that Brazil's deaths and infections have been undercounted, Bolsonaro's government has indicated states' tallies have been made to look worse, which seems to be what prompted Sao Paulo to scrap the running total.
> A council of state health secretaries said it won't let Bolsonaro's "Authoritarian, insensitive, inhumane, and unethical attempt" to make COVID-19 deaths "Invisible" go forward without a fight.

Some choice quotes:
>Two weeks in and department heads and a PEARSON rep corner him mid lecture, and try to humiliate him in front of the class by saying he's failing us for not giving us proper study materials and how badly it'll hurt our careers later on. He held his ground. Announced to the class that the university as a whole has a deal with Pearson, and each department must sign off on how much cash they pledge to make. I'm not sure what the benefits were to the school, but basically professors were told that if a student couldn't afford the materials, they can't afford to take the class. They threatened him, but he laughed at them.
Department heads and a Pearson rep cornering a professor in the middle of class. Uh-huh.
>After that, they would occasionally sit in on our class with a clipboard. One day I was able to sneak a peak, it was just a list of "mistakes". Bullshit mistakes too. "Swore when pen fell." Or "coughed, possibly faked to distract." The Pearson rep was the worst. She would literally just sit in our class and condescendingly ask "and how are they gonna study that at home? What materials? Don't you think homework would help?"
Seriously?
I can only maybe imagine a much less sensationalized version of this happening with a for-profit, bargain basement, student loan-funded ripoff machine fly by night "college."
