A list of puns related to "Tick, Tick, Tick (film)"
Thereβs stuff I like in each of those movies, but thereβs other stuff that holds me back from falling head over heels on them. So all gentlemanβs 6/10s for me. Are there any acclaimed films from this year that have left you with a similar reaction?
Here are my sporadic thoughts for the movie, apologies they might be long:
Opening song was very catchy and I was surprised Andrew Garfield can portray his character so well, had to google whether he was singing or not and was very surprised to see he is doing his own vocals. Apparently Lin Manuel Miranda self casted him in his head after seeing him in a theatre production, even he was caught off guard in the casting room with how well he could sing despite professional experience.
Bradley Whitford was almost unrecognizable as Steven Sondheim for me and did a great job, Richard Kind made me crack up with his characters back tracking and spinning circles to try and match Sondheim's opinions
I really enjoy the cutting of Larson on stage performing what I assume is "Boho Days" and the songs he sings telling his tale to the actual events of the story in character.
Also like the background plot of Homosexual struggles and the aids epidemic with Freddy at the party and his eventual hospitalization. Also when Larson is watching the news, about the AIDS problem. I also enjoyed his roommate bringing up the fact he is enjoying the time he has in relation to what is going on in the world for his sexuality and the eventual reveal of his condition.
Lin Manuel Miranda Cameo as a cook in the Diner cracked me up - always love to see him in things. Also did I see The Shuyler Sisters as the ladies in the diner or am I crazy?
I really loved the argument song/scene, the vocals were great and the actual real event scene was great acting . Her calling him out on constantly thinking about his show, to the point where he would make their argument into a song was awesome. Especially with the workshop and how Vanessa Hudgens song was a representation of their argument turning into a duet with Jonathans girlfriend.
The boardroom scene lmao, Love Utkarsh's character with everyone else's dumb suggestions compared to Jonathans juxtaposed with the real reason they are all there and his reaction. Soundtrack change really helped show his despair within that situation and his difference in world view compared to his old room mate with the ensuing argument. Also the fact that his friend shows up to support is one of the best examples of friendship - we may argue and fight but we are always there for each other.
His parents showing up to his workshop and expecting the reserved seats to be his cracked me up, loved his response.
At first I hated Rosa's character but I now
... keep reading on reddit β‘Last night I was searching for something to watch on Netflix, and while doing this I saw Andrew Garfield with a piano in a poster, I taped to see if Netflix can sell this movie for me, and it didnβt take more than a minute to find my self jumping in this mysterious pool.
The opening scene was perfect , I canβt say more than that. It was something I canβt write about anything but Magic I haven't seen in a long time, I did not dare to close my eyes at any moment in these charming scenes.
Itβs not like the sound of metal, But the reason I remember this wonderful movie is how much it affected me and my outlook on life. There is another similarity between these two films, which is that the director employed the characters as tools, hammers that knock on our heads to wake up and live life with its sweet and bitter.
The cinematography in the film was captivating and was employed in the best possible way to send a lot of messages and feelings. The montage also contributed to this, especially in cutting the filming so that we could get lost with our hero and taste bitterness with him, as happened in a scene from the movie scenes.
If I had the right to choose what Iβll get in Christmas, I would choose to watch this great movie in the cinema. I can't get enough of the visual and audio doses that I took from the 65-inch screen, they weren't enough, even the Sony WH-1000XM4 Noise-Canceling Headphones weren't enough, I want to watch this movie in the cinema with Saif, my best friend.
Acting, everyone was great, but Andrew Garfield was at the level of embracing the clouds, I think he is the actor worthy of carrying the flag that DiCaprio carried after De Niro handed it to him. Let's stop comparing now and just go see his great performance. if this movie was a painting I'd have all of Andrew's scenes stuck in my lobby, that's what I think he would do too.
As for the rest of the actors, they were all at a great level and managed to convey a lot of emotions to us. What feelings I got from this movie!!
Now that I tried to write something about a movie that I don't think I wrote enough about, I opened the door for you to come in with me and listen to you about what you liked and what you didn't like in this movie. My rating for the movie is 10/10, what about you, and do you have scenes to analyze, if so, bring pictures of them so let's talk about them.
What is the central "theme" in Indian films? For instance, in a lot of western films, the focus of the story is "protagonist beats the odds at any cost" Japanese anime on the other hand focuses a lot on "protagonist beats everyone else"
See Indiana Jones' v that one sword wielding guy. Or Rocky switching southpaw vs. Apollo. They get points for creativity and it's not seen as backhanded.
Contrast that with MHA or Naruto where the focus is on beating someone fair and square so you can be declared better than them. If Deku ripped Muscular's tendon's out it wouldn't be seen as creative in the context of the show, it would just be a dick move.
So what is it with Indian films?
Just something I've been thinking about for lols.
PS: I know Japan is more than anime, I'm referring more to their ganbare culture than anything else.
