Therion (band) Puns

I've been testing Therions online since they have been announced and they definitely have a big potential. Their effects are great and they synergize so well with other archetypes.
For now i've mostly seen people mix them with plants to end on some negate but i feel there's many more possibilies. What's your thoughts on this ?

Here's some synergies i found while testing it :
- In addition to being a great card for Infernoble and Gouki, "Bulls" Ein (warrior) works very well with the new P.U.N.K support. Equip P.U.N.K Dia Note to Ein, then use Ein and a P.U.N.K to make a synchro 11, then you can trigger the effect of Dia note to reborn another P.U.N.K. Therions and P.U.N.K have a great synergy. The Therions are lvl 7 and 8 which immensely facilitate your synchro plays and allows you to add a Baronne to your endboard.

- "Lily" Borea can be special summoned off of Jasmine aromaseraphy (or searched off of Generaider Mardel). It can also trigger a lot of predaplant effects with some setup

- "King" Leopardus works very well in ABC (yes ABC support again). It can trigger your ABC names, and otherwise the ABC actually give Leopardus some protection !

- "Leaper" Fam could be handy in frog decks, though I think it doesn't prevent Dupe and Poison frog from missing timing

I've been testing this variant for the last 2 days and the results are impressive. Therions can give Sunavalon protection against hand traps, something the Mommy Tree really needs. Brave Token is also useful, but it can block some of the searchers for Genious Loki, like Lonefire Blossom and Rescue Rabbit. And it takes 2 Main monster zones.

Therion Lily Borea has 2 good searchers, Rose Palladin and Rose Bell of Revelation, which makes it pretty consistent. Sunavalon always puts plants in the GY, so Borea will always be useful. And Painful Decision is even better now! Remember, it searches Sunseed Genious Loki and puts another copy in the GY, which can be used to Special Summon Borea. You get to the field spell, then to Regulus and you'll have no more problems with Nibiru and other hand traps.

Of course, the deck is far from Tier 1 or anything like that, but it's pretty good.

I want them to be a part of my main party when I reach the end game, (I haven’t yet, so no spoilers). I have Therion as a cleric, which I’ve heard is good, because of his abilities which I don’t really use the hp/sp steal often. And Alfyn I have as the merchant right now. I’m thinking of making him the scholar.

I haven’t gotten the secret classes yet, and don’t know what exactly they do, so if you have recommendations for both the regular jobs and secret ones that would be great.

I’m planing on having Olberic as hunter, Cyrus as the secret mage job, I’m assuming that’s a good option for him. Tressa, Therion, and Alfyn will be a part of the party depending on if I like their builds.

Tressa is currently the Scholar, I might change her to cleric though.

So any thoughts? What did you have their second class be?

I had played the game a lot when it came out like three years ago, and back then I struggled a lot with some bosses - but eventually I made it through and even beat the true final boss.

Now I picked the game back up and after finishing off the last remaining side quests and optional bosses of my first playthrough, I decided to start a new playthrough, and went for an all-physical challenge run. No magic, just weapon attacks.

I started with Therion since I think this makes a lot of sense in terms of story/roleplay, then I picked up Alfyn and Olberic. After a long time with just these three, I added H'aanit as the fourth physical character.

Now my party setup is this, most are around level 45 with H'aanit level 40:

• Therion - Hunter (Incidential Attack, Patience, Insult to Injury, Hale and Hearty)
• Alfyn - Thief (Hale and Hearty, Inspiration, Incidential Attack, Insult to Injury)
• Olberic - Apothecary (Hale and Hearty, Surpassing Power, Summon Strength, Patience)
• H'aanit - Warrior (Double Strike, Patience, Surpassing Power, Summon Strength)

They all have quite decent gear, although my only battle-tested piece of equipment is the battle-tested shield so far which Olberic bears proudly. Olberic and H'aanit are the prime damage dealers, Alfyn and Therion are primarely support, although they pack a punch too if they have the chance to during a break with full BP).

The run went surprisingly smooth, much better than my first playthrough. Back then I did not know of the importance of debuff moves like Leghold Trap, Shackle Foe or Armor Corrosive and never really used Alfyn's Concoct skill - I just always clicked basic attacks when I did not want to use SP. Of course I died to many encounters back then, including a lot of times to some of the more difficult bosses. And of course I happily equipped Werner's Sword on Olberic after finishing his story...

Now that I am playing a lot more tactically, I am blazing through every encounter and boss fight, despite limiting myself for the challenge run - and I enjoy the challenge thoroughly. Poison has proven to be a godsend too, especially when fighting through areas way above my party's level. The monsters I struggled the most so far were elementals of various kinds, as they have no physical weakness and immense physical defense - and as far as I know they are immune to poison too. And caits of course are a lot more difficult to kill too without magic due to their high evasion. Some of these bugs and flies in

Everyone here talks about how their Therion hits like a truck. What am I missing? He's high 30s and a only use him for support and breaking. Because his damage is garbage.

He's got great equipment compared to the others. I've tried him as a merchant and as a hunter. I feel like I'm just missing something. Tips?
