Good Evening Friends! I have something to share that may come as a surprise to many of you - My family and I have decided to leave the Mormon Church. Before I go any further, I want my Mormon friends and family to know that I love them deeply. Rejecting and leaving the Mormon church does not mean that I am rejecting or judging you in any way. Our greatest fear in leaving the church is losing our relationships, and we hope that everyone reading this will choose love over anything else.
The decision to leave the faith of our upbringing was not made lightly. Just a year ago, I would have told you that I knew with all my heart that the Mormon church was the one true church on the earth. Then I stumbled upon the CES Letter, and my entire world was pulled out from under me. The level of betrayal that I have felt has been immeasurable.
Learning that my religion wasnβt what it claimed to be was/is the hardest thing that I have ever gone through in my life. We based every life decision on what we learned in church. Marriage, timing of children, and even Celia being a stay-at-home mother were all made because of the church and its teachings. Some of those decisions turned out well, and others were disastrous, but because we believed it came from god, we were willing to deal with any consequences that came our way.
In leaving the church, we regained our own moral authority. I no longer have to reconcile the loving god that I believed in with the churchβs teachings of discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community, withholding temple blessings from people of color, or the unequal treatment of women. I am not looking to βthe brethren,β but instead giving priority to my inner voice for the first time in my life, and itβs wonderful! I am happier than I have ever been in my life.
Having said all of that, I do not judge or look down upon anyone that decides to stay in the church. After all, it taught me many good things, including Christ-like attributes, hard work, public speaking, importance of education, Spanish language, etc. Despite removing our names from the church records, Mormonism will always be a part of who I am! I will always get warm feelings inside when anyone speaks of βRoad Showsβ or βJohnny Lingo.β I hope to always be invited to participate in βthe only fight that begins and ends with a
... keep reading on reddit β‘Okay. Here is the backstory. A person in my wife's family sent me this video via text. What happened was one of her Aunts stopped by her childhood home somewhere in Kansas and asked if she could come in and look around for old times sake. She takes a video as she is walking around, this excerpt which I have here is where she pans over a play room in the basement of the house. At the time there are two boys playing in the room and those are the only people in the room. As she pans over the first boy turns his shoulder to look back at her taking the video and you can very clearly see there is a woman standing behind him. The woman appears to have her arms crossed and is wearing what looks to be older style clothes and hair style perhaps of the 1920's.
I can confirm with all honestly this video has not been edited as the people that sent it would not know how or have reason to do that. The current owners of the house confirm there were only those 2 boys in the room and do not know anyone that looks like this person, nor do anyone in my wife's family have any idea who this could be a ghost of if that is in fact what we are seeing. It did take showing this video to a few people before someone noticed and questioned who the woman was. Everyone however is very creeped out by this.
Link to the GIF below, it turned out very small and I'm not sure exactly how to convert this to a gif from an .mp4 file as this is my first time doing this, please offer suggestions and I'll try to upload a better quality .gif. I've also included a picture which I've uploaded to imgur at the 7 second mark of the video when you can see the figure. I did view this on a new iPhone and the video quality was very very good and you could zoom in and see the figure had black eyes and make out details on her dress.

Let me know what you think, I wouldn't usually post something like this but I follow this sub occasionally and know you are all very skeptical and look for evidence and rational explanation. Please let me know your thoughts.
Edit: Updated GIF link.
Should I divorce this woman?
After a few moments of silence, my son replies "That's it?"
I donβt recall ever being so pulled in to a museum exhibit before, nor being so emotionally affected. We came back to our hotel and immersed ourselves in movies and documentaries.
The Museum came so highly rated and that was no exaggeration. Looking forward to many more visits!
This answer gave me hope since I think Rey just rebuilding the old lightsaber was the most boring thing from everything we came to know about TROS. I hope she builds a double lightsaber, the Saga begins with a villain using a red double lightsaber and ends with a heroine using a blue(?) double lightsaber. Also because it will make sense since she was already good fighting with her staff.
Apparently, the tomb belonged to the employee says "ma'am, I'm sorry, but this guy definitely takes the cake.
Wow, the movie was great. I haven't watched any movies of Scarlett Johansson besides her portrayal of Black Widow and I must admit I was surprised. The way she portrayed Nicole Barber was just great. Adam Driver was a great actor as well. His portrayal of Charlie was just great. I like how in the monologue they gave us an idea of how the story progresses and how the character's personality fits in the narrative. Also, I would like to applaud the director and writer, Noah Baumbach. This is my first view of his work and I'm really impressed. Some people may say that the film gets boring because of the dialogue and stuff, but the content of it makes the story more realistic in my opinion. And don't get me started on the acting -- it was just pure raw emotion. I teared up tons of times. The movie overall portrays the proceedings of getting a divorce, it became very interesting as it showed more side of jurisdiction, specifically when it comes to child support. Both parties fighting for their rights and trying their best not to ruin their children's life.
Overall, I'd give it a 8/10.
PS: I'm new to writing a review. Please do share your thoughts on how I'll improve in terms of being a critique. Also do point out things I've missed or should emphasize on my review. Thanks, y'all.
As a kid, I enjoyed every film I saw, and I could never truly say that I hated a film. But, to sound cool and opinionated, I simply copied my parents' opinion of a film.
In the video above I have detailed the reasons as to why my naive mind was so hooked to films that it believed everything it saw to be real. And almost all of the films I watched as a kid (mostly mainstream) fuelled my narcissism.
Let me know if you guys can relate with this.
