No movie will ever capture the essence of what it is to be a young boy so well. I grew up in the 90s and it perfectly reminds me of the shenanigans my friends and I grew up with. We did much worse than what was depicted if the film but all of the thought processes were the same that led us into those situations. I still watch this movie every six months or so and enjoy every second of it.
And I can’t believe how many references I’ve heard in my life that I had no idea were from that movie! Just a wonderful film overall, I can’t wait to watch it again.
Also, if you’ve watched Band of Brothers, the final scene of that show is a perfect homage to the end of The Sandlot. Just something I noticed!
