Hoy chummers. I'm writing some short stories based in Seattle, but I can't seem to find any in depth information past 2072. Any summaries or sources would be appreciated.
AKA 'Chernobyl Notebook', AKA 'Chernobyl Chronicle'
Whether you've heard of it or not, you know this book. That is because the HBO miniseries is essentially a direct adaptation of this earliest, seminal work on the Chernobyl Disaster. Many other books and documentaries have also used Medvdev's book as a source, to their great detriment. Medvedev's book is what injected the most popular salacious elements into the information space, and really did a lot to poison the well of historical memory.
Of course, before I launch into a rundown (pun intended) of the author's sins, I should point that he is far from the worst offender. Many other sources that should be authoritative and trustworthy are still repeating Soviet misinformation to this day, ever since the IAEA was hoodwinked by false reports. Anyways, Grigori Medvedev was a essentially a frustrated fiction author who had already written a book about a nuclear disaster, and saw in Chernobyl his chance to make it big by mixing fact with imagination, sensationalizing the events. When the book came out it was a big deal, and it still dominates perceptions of the events in the West. To be fair, it was the first source to publicly spill the beans on the control rods, so it was not all bad. Probably 80% of the book is accurate, it's just that the inaccurate parts are especially scurrilous.
Right off the bat, Medvedev inflates his credentials, when in fact he never worked a day in a functioning nuclear plant. His knowledge of the RBMK reactor is abysmal, as indicated by his statement that the control rods were completely withdrawn from the core so that the first component to 'enter' the core was the graphite 'tip'. Pretty much Jared Harris' exact words in the HBO finale. He also harps on the disabling of the SAOP/ECCS, when this was explicitly called for by the test program, and which had absolutely zero influence on the development or severity of the accident (as per the IAEA).
Page 14 contains what may or may not be an honest mistake. Medvedev claims that it was decided to conduct the rundown experiment with the reactor running, so that the test could be repeated if needed. This is a baseless cla

If you miss your overload shots don't just keep holding down the trigger cause it won't reproc. Let go and then shoot for another second and it'll reproc.
Hc overload shot procs at the 3rd consecutive hit to where you get a 5 second timer. This is why timed or explosive payloads are awesome cause they count as 2 hits per shot. This means shoot them twice and the overload shots will be from the second shot instead of third.
Tips and tricks You can't reproc overload stun immediately on the overload till the glow around them is gone. But in that time being if you hit them with overload shots over and over before they start moving then they will stand still and never teleport. Video of eso showing this.

Update. I am out this morning, I was able to play a little this morning. Some more of the common questions asked answered below:
- Performance RT and Performance modes are great. I tried Fidelity mode and it was way too choppy. 4K did not matter at that point. I would much rather use a scaled down res and get a higher fps.
- Full trigger and half trigger functionality is utilized just like Returnal
- Reversible cover
- Levels are somewhat linear but you can navigate as required. There are hub type areas you usually end up.
- Music is very good so far
- No haptic feedback on things like rain, and environment. But there is haptic feedback on pretty much everything else
- Weapon upgrades are through skill tree type avenues using Raritanium collected throughout the game.
- There are pieces of armor and armor sets (collected 1 piece at a time) that have modifiers (5% more melee damage, etc)
- Only glitch so far is I got stuck in an infinite loop falling through dimensions on the first boss. Other than that it has been smooth.

I made a couple memes yesterday about Made In Timeland, and a bunch of people were confused. Rather than answer all their comments separately, I thought I'd give everyone a rundown of exactly what Made In Timeland is, the evidence for it, and what kind of music I think it'll be.
- April 2020/November 2020: Gizz do two Reddit AMAs. Username for both of them is Made In Timeland.
- July-August 2020: ASCAP registers checked, found copyrights for two songs: Timeland and Smoke And Mirrors. Both have writing credits from three or more band members.
- November 2020: In the Reddit AMA, Joey says Timeland was a project that fell through and didn't come to fruition (note they also said "What's L.W.?" in that same AMA)
- May 2021: A new Gizz video called "Sleeping Monster" is scheduled to premiere in front of the theatrical premiere of Chunky Shrapnel, but according to post-movie Q/As the video wasn't finished in time.
- Early June 2021: A mixing engineer (I think) shows off the master files for all the Gizz albums, including two unreleased ones: a Levitation session and Made In Timeland. Post deleted soon after.
- Two days ago: Gizz answer questions in the live chat before the Shanghai video premiere. They disavow the leak, but also mention Timeland will be out when we least expect, but also that it got "shelved" and was "too ahead of its time".
Now my predictions:
- It was also stated in the live chat they're still working on the "third album" of 2021, but they said Timeland was going to be a surprise release. So it could be out before the end of the summer, in Sketches Of Brunswick East fashion.
- Given the fact that we only know of a few songs for the project, I'm predicting this will be the TRUE sequel to Polygondwanaland (although not necessarily narratively). At least one song will have a 20-minute runtime, with Sleeping Monster at 8 minutes, Smoke And Mirrors at 15 minutes, and the title track at a behemoth 23 minutes, but that's just my predictions/hopes.

Briana replied to a fan who asked if she cut kails scenes because Kail wasn’t on tonight’s episode. Bri responded saying “we sure did” then Kail mocked her, ironically from her podcast/lurk account. Then idk why but Ashley started yelling in the background of a smug Kail selfie video.
Then Pastor Tea and Roxanne got involved? I had to clean up from dinner but I saw both of these enchantresses making veiled threats at one another via selfie video.
Next, Bri releases photos of Kails arrest records. She claims someone close to Kail who she trusts is feeding her info. Apparently Kail assaulted Chris for cutting their son’s hair. Bri accuses MTV, rightfully of allowing Kail to cover up her messiness when she and other cast members show their raw realities and don’t get the sweetheart edit.
Finally, Briana reveals a screenshot of her text inbox and shows that Chris Lopez is texting her telling her to chill out because I guess her spazzing is making Kail go after him(?) oh and the text conversation beneath that one is Larry the producer who Farrah called white trash. If I figure out how I will link all of this but Jesus God girlses this franchise never disappoints.
I love to post this every year before the fourth episode to see if it still holds true!!! And sure enough it seems like this fourth episode of this season will be QUITE dramatic! There is either HUGE drama, or the person who winds up being f1 or f2 is Heavily featured, or their big “spark” is shown. Often there’s an ambulance ride.
The fourth episode is always my favorite. For SOME reason... The producers save all the big drama for the fourth episode.. my theory is that the fourth episode is a marker for reeling people back in to the season who might be starting to lose interest. 1. Government and military personnel, such as David Fravor and Harry Reid, are lying about the phenomena to cover up advanced and highly classified technology.

Why it makes sense: Misinformation is an effective and relatively inexpensive tool to muddy the waters around technology the government wants to keep hidden from its adversaries. In and of themselves, the videos show nothing extraordinary.

Why it doesn't make sense: Quite a few active and retired service members and government officials would have to be willing to not only obfuscate the truth, but actively lie to the public repeatedly over the course of years. This is an overly complex solution to an almost non-existent problem. Before the recent media blitz, only UFO enthusiasts paid attention to the UAP reports. If they are lying in order to drum up support for more spending, this is not a great way of doing it. Very few people would want their tax dollars to go to anything UFO related. Besides, the government has no problem coming up with money for defense spending.
2. The United States developed technology so sophisticated that it has been hidden from some of the highest ranking officials in the government and military. It is so advanced and well guarded, that even highly trained pilots and radar operators have no idea what they are witnessing.

Why it makes sense: There have been examples of extraordinary technological breakthroughs that were very highly classified and effectively hidden from even high-ranking government and military personnel. The Manhattan Project was such a program. To assess the effectiveness of an advanced radar spoofing technology, they would perhaps test it on the most sophisticated defense systems in the world: their own.

Why it doesn't make sense: Toying with real pilots and expensive aircraft is risky and not necessary when training exercises could accomplish the same mission. Also, if reports are to be believed, this has been happening quite often for years. Why draw this much attention to technology that they want to keep hidden from even the highest levels in the Air Force and Navy? Why has none of this technology been utilized for other real-world applications?

- Almost no mid-range assets available to trade: either extremely valuable (Wiseman, Minny 1st, Draymond), low value (2nds, all other contracts), or were logistically unattractive (Wiggins, Looney). Probably don't need to say this, but trading without assets or available salary is incredibly difficult.

- Massive roster turnover in 19-20, continued into 21. Rookies, sophomores, 2-ways to see substantial playing time.

Overall impression
- Easier than what Becker prepared me for which is always a good feeling
MCQs
- I got an even mix of everything tbh and felt they were much easier than Becker
- Do your MCQs and practice them not to memorize but to understand
SIMs
- A breeze compared to FAR and AUD especially if you covered the material sufficiently
- Doing sims for BEC were actually helpful because they were comparable to the actual. * Do the AICPA practice exam sims because one might be on your exam
WCs
- I knew two of them confidently and the other one I was able to BS my way through since I had close to 90 minutes to do the writing
- I never actually did any of the WC sims other than reading the solution
- Some of Becker’s prompts were similar to what I got
Focus areas
- COSO/ERM, variances, econ, overall cost accounting, and ratios
- I think if you cover your study material fully and practice MCQs to learn what you don’t know, you’ll be prepared
- I didn’t notice excess IT difficulty but I have a pretty good base on
- I didn’t get CAPM or WACC but other people do so worth knowing because they’re easy points
Timing
- I took about an 75 minutes on MCQ testlets but was interrupted several times by tech issues so it knocked me out of my groove
- SIMs took me around 15-25 minutes max to complete and look over
- Rest was allotted to writing which is fairly easy for me so I ended with 20 ish minutes left after re-reading and improving my WCs
