A list of puns related to "The Grateful Dead Movie"
She added a whole new level to that live performance in my opinion
There are some really stunning 4k remasters of performances from The Grateful Dead Movie on youtube and I was wondering if anyone thought we would get a new remaster soon. Seeing the movie in its entirety in 4k would be truly amazing.
Realized it's been years since I needed to insert an optical disk into the PC, had to buy an external drive from amazon, lol.
8.5 GB, uncompressed. Stereo and Surround audio. I don't know if this post is allowed, so if not, please remove it, but I figure since it's available on youtube for free, it may be allowed to be uploaded and shared?
I do NOT have a way to host this huge of a file though. Anyone have any server space they want to donate?

Iβd love to share a trip with the Dead. Whatβs the best live show to watch? Or am I better served listening to a show and finding something else fun for visuals? It feels like such a stereotypical question, but Iβm still new to tripping and am trying to find my sweet spot.
So a lil while back i was watching the Netflix Documentary on Bobby and was just thinking to myself βdude why hasnt there been a movie yet?β And as far as im aware there isnβt really a Dead movie similar to how the dirt told the story of motley crues history and their ups and downs. I think it would be a fantastic thing especially considering the bands whole association as one of the biggest members of the American anti-culture.
So picture this. A female high senior is struggling with issues at home and school. Her old friends sheβs not hanging with anymore who seem to concerned about being popular and getting into sororities. She meets a friend whoβs into the dead and starts to hang out and starts to fall in love with her new friends and the music. Fast forward to an epic concert showing her in the crowd listening to a song like Morning dew or maybe something more uplifting, sheβs in the lawn under the stars and moon and finds her self emotional at the powerful music moment. They could mesh in actual concert footage and music. With the technology they have now I think they could nail the concert scene which some movies have tried with other stories and havenβt gotten. Idk I see a good movie/story. Or some movie showing the incredible culture that was the whole touring scene. There was nothing like it and will never be anything like it.
Definitely a long shot but thought I'd post. Would be cool if any of the heads featured in the movie are still around today and could talk about the shows/film. If something like this has already been done please point me in the right direction. Thanks!
And yeah Betty already did her AMA lol. Was cool to see her in the film.
Iβve been sick all day but watched the Grateful Dead movie for the fifth time (Iβm gen x)- it was cool watching it after having read all the books by and about the band recently. Itβs cool to watch it through Jerryβs eyes as the film director and champion of the project. It is interesting watching it with an understanding that this was capturing a moment when they all knew this was the end of the first run for the band, and it was arguably the finest ever chapter of the band. And one of the best things was Donna π€β€οΈπ€https://i.imgur.com/y0JrNSR.jpg
Heard from here that it was Great
Does anyone know where to find this OPP 5-disc set (320 kbps mp3s or FLAC)? Canβt find it on any torrent and the digital files donβt even seem to be available for purchase anywhere. I can stream it on Spotify but would like to load it on my iPod for my lengthy commute. Any ideas?
Title says it all. Anyone have any intel?
Loved it! Feel like I finally really get it! Had listened to a few studio albums before but it hadnβt clicked. Really loved the long far out jams.
What was the gas they were breathing in one of the scenes? Laughing gas?
And at the end it showed the Rolling Stones logo on the stage backdrop also? Whatβs the deal there?
that's all I wanted to say
Edit: this post blew up and all I wanna say, is that I love y'all too <3
I didnβt get to finish it and I think itβs already been taken off of YouTube. Anyone know where I could find it? I heard amazon prime has it but thatβs not an option for me.

The jam I'm referring to starts at 4:23 of track 12 from the archive.
If you have Amazon Prime, you can find the movie here and the jam starts at 1h 9m 47s.
Last night I was watching The Grateful Dead Movie, and was hypnotized by Bill's work during Playing in the band. It seems like his drums - whatever he was doing - was driving Jerry, Phil, and Keith's improv during the spacey jam. I'm an amateur drummer, so I have some (but minimal) knowledge of drum music theory. At a basic level, it seems like Bill's jazz influences take over, and the rest of the band follows - then builds on top of - Bill's jazzy rhythms.
Can any music experts help me understand what Bill is doing, musically speaking, during this jam?
Some questions I'm curious about:
*Does Bill change the tempo / time signature?
*What kind of groove is he playing?
*In general, how the hell is he doing that?
