A list of puns related to "The Dybbuk box"
My story starts when I visited Chihuahua, Mexico in 2009 for a theology course I was taking part in. We were instructed by our assigned guide what areas of the city and countryside we were allowed to go to due to dangers and escaped convicts from the Juarez prison riots. My favorite part of the visit was to walk the city at night time and see the night life culture and the different aspects of what goes on. The overall visit was a fantastic experience and a tremendous eye-open to other cultures.
One of the nights I ventured off to the outskirts of the city to different markets and places of interest. As I was exploring around the area, I noticed a middle aged woman in non-standard attire sitting in front of a make shift campfire just outside the little town I had ventured to. She had her hands up, and I could see her mouth moving as she was mumbling, talking, or praying of some sort. Iβll admit, it was a little creepy, but since I was on a theology course tour to understand the depths of the culture and religion I decided to wonder over and talk to her.
She spoke broken English, and I spoke broken Spanish so conversations were difficult at times. My class partner who spoke very good Spanish had been separated from me because he had eaten something that disagreed with him and decided to stay in for the night. I sat on a large rock beside the campfire and started talking to this lady whose name was Reina. She had a wild eyed look about her and told grand stories of things she had seen and had visions of. We conversed for around 40 minutes when she invited me inside to see the different trinkets and things from her stories. Of course, the wondering and fascinated mind that I have agreed to see these marvelous things.
I cannot really explain what her house was made of, it wasnβt wood. The walls were more like a really thick canvas type material. As I stepped in, there was an overwhelming smell of incense burning and shelves with trinkets scattered everywhere. As I would come across each item, Reina had a story for each one of the trinkets. My eyes rested on three small similar style boxes about 10 inches long and 6 inches wide. There were burnt symbols all over the box that I couldnβt identify. These boxes were each sealed shut with some type of melted wax all around the box lid. Finally there were reddish stains on them, which Iβm hoping were from some type of paint or berry and not blood. However, the language barrier made this one kind of hard to i

A bit about myself: I work in the death care industry. I'm quite science/logic based, but I will admit to having had some questionable experiences in my current residence. These events died down about 4 months within my moving in. My experiences consisted of footsteps in the hallway, voices, walls of negative energy (think something along the lines of inexplicable gut feelings equal to coming home as a teenager when you knew you done fucked up and someone in your house was mad at you/didn't want you there) upon coming home from work about 8pm one evening after a full 8 hour shift. I also witnessed a towel abruptly and violently yet briefly swaying on a hook in my bathroom door next to an unswaying bathrobe about 5 minutes after I had shut the door. ( I was doing my morning business and staring at my phone for the most part. )
Above and beyond that, I'm a fan of creepycute stuff, and have an immense passion for the work I do within my funeral home and in helping the dying meet their end with as much comfort as possible.
Today I purchased a supposed Dybbuk box off Ebay. The title claims it previously came from The Dark Web. The base cost was 80 dollars and shipping from within the same country ( My country ) was 40 dollars. I won't know the full scale of things until my potential purchase potentially arrives.
(Can you feel my apprehension? ) I will start by saying that the seller had a flawless rating. I have no idea how/if that can be altered on Ebay. The seller has a "No Returns" policy and mentioned within the title of the product that it apparently came from the Dark Web, and says specifically "DO NOT OPEN". The photos show it bound in wax and chain. I can't tell quite how large it is. The box is scheduled to arrive some time between July 29th and August 12th.
The information within the product advertisement is as follows:
Haunted wax sealed dybbuk BOX (DO NOT OPEN)
This box is extremely dangerous and has been causing conflict in my house ever since it has been here. Ordered a mystery box off of the dark web and this was one of the items inside. I've been trying to get rid of this box for months now but everytime I throw it out it seems to wind up again right on my doorstep.. Lights have been flickering, doors have been opening and closing on their own. Someone is inside of the box when shooken, but I warn you it is sealed with wax for a v

He's taken me to a few "haunted" locations around North America, and is constantly showing me his collection of spooky knick-knacks that he swears 'has moved on their own'. He shares these things with me(my name is Lauren, by the way) because I am at the other end of the spectrum in that I don't believe in any of that and we both enjoy the heated debates we get into over the subject. He believes ghosts and demons are real, I believe it can all be explained through science, coincidence, and an overactive imagination. I also enjoy writing about the places we have visited, and the things we have seen, or that he has collected, even though nothing scary happens in these places and none of the objects move on their own, I enjoy documenting our 'adventures'. Which is what I'm doing for you all now with what Jack has sent me.
Day 1 with a Dybbuk Box
Jack usually sends me something while on a ghost hunt that I couldn't attend, like a pamphlet for the location he's visiting, or some small trinket from the gift shop. The location this time was a 'haunted' apartment complex somewhere in England and the trinket, well, this was more than just a trinket, the package was pretty big considering the things he sends me, roughly the size of a large shoe box. Excited, I tore into the package, hoping he had sent me something I would actually like, for once,
Inside was a wooden box, maybe an inch smaller that the outer packaging. It looked handcrafted, deep red mahogany, with beautiful, intricate shapes and designs carved all over it. There was a seal all along the opening of the box, like it was glued shut. The seal was this dark murky brown hue, getting closer to inspect it caused a metallic taste to form in the back of my mouth, as if I had been sucking on pennies all day. I stood back, mesmerized by this box Jack sent me, then noticed the note stuck to it. In big bold letters the words DO NOT OPEN were written. My eyes rolled so hard I thought I would lose them in the back of my head, what had Jack sent me this time? I checked the package to see if a letter was sent with it. I found an envelope inside with a note from Jack hastily scribbled onto what I can only assume was thin leather. Leather that had been left in the sun to dry for years, turning a sickly yellow, curled up at the ends. Leather that someone had thrown up on, dark green chunks o

So you can basically summon a Dybbuk, which is CR4, as soon as you get Summon Greater Demon, and by the time you have access to Planar Binding, just throw in a reverse Magic Circle or any other containment method, Bind it ( Doesn't rely on the Charmed condition ), and you've got yourself a Dybbuk servant.
That Dybbuk, which you could obviously even further buff and bolster in all manner of ways, has resistance to practically all the elements and nonmagical weapon damage, immunity to almost every condition, Magic Resistance, and Telepathy to 120 feet. It flies with hover which means it can't even be knocked prone, it has incorporeal movement which means there's no barrier to wherever you want to send it through, and it has dimension door at will. Unlike many other low-level teleporting monsters, it doesn't even just apply to self, it's Medium size and can take anybody along with it an infinite number of times. You can just steamroll through countless of dungeons and scenarios by sending the Dybbuk to scout if need be and then just ferrying party member to wherever you wish, or bamfing endlessly as a single player operative.
It's attacks, which you probably don't even wanna use since you want to keep your Dybbuk out of combat seeing how good it is in everything, reduce HP maximum and kill on 0HP.
Adding on top of it all, the Dybukk can possess pretty much any humanoid or beast that is large or smaller which you killed or found dead, so long as it's 'intact', gaining access to both it's knowledge and statistics ( other than the listed ones ), it's HP in temporary HP, and looking like the creature did when it was alive. Which essentially makes it the perfect Doppleganger, information extractor, and infinitely replenishing meatshield, damage dealer and shapechanger. Whatever humanoid or beast the DM throws you, all of it's abilities are now permanently yours as long as they aren't class abilities and if you continually preserve the corpse with something like Gentle Repose ( Which is a ritual ). Because yeah, you don't even need new corpses, the old corpse just goes back to being a corpse when the temporary HP is gone and you can possess it again after recharging.
And this is all just the Dybbuk's base power. Let's not even go into what could be done by combining your own spells and the Dybbuk, especially in possessed forms. You don't even want to know.
Only downside is that Planar Binding makes it strive to twist the letter of your words, but the

I was thinking that maybe the actions of the players could bring the attention of the demons. They're going to be playing in SKT, so the first big event would be after they defend Triboar from the giant attacks.
The Dybbuk named Cimer heard news of this, so he dimensional doored around until he found the players location. Then he follows them around constantly taking notes and occasionally making comments about their strategy.
Cimer would disappear at times as he dimensional doors to wherever the abyssal portal is. The players would never encounter this portal as it's so far away that only a Dybbuk could feasibly visit it in time.
Cimer would never be openly hostile to the players. He won't ever help them with anything either, just popping in out of nowhere to observe their actions and take notes. If the players ever attacked him, he would just dimensional door away but probably return at a later date to do more research.
I thought this could make an interesting NPC that can show up out of literally nowhere because of his infinite dimensional door. What do you guys think?
I just finished Hive and received a Legendary shotgun called Dybbuk. I have never seen this listed before. Has anyone used this? Is it worth the effort to unlock the perks. 4 of the perks are static.
So, wonder if assuming that there are dybbuk and other ghosts on our planet, do they also care about ecology and climate? why or not?
Anyond know where I can get a copy of Der Dybbuk with English subtitles?
She did not hold Up well.
I responded with, "no, but we can arm wrestle any day."
