A list of puns related to "The Buccaneers"
Underneath his buccanhat
The captain tells his crew to go out into the town and spend some well earned time off, but to be back at midnight. The crew all go into town and the captain stays in his quarters on the ship.
Midnight comes and the crew still aren't back, so the captain figures they'll all be at the tavern having a drink so he walks in and finds it empty. The captain approaches the bartender and says "YARR, have ye seen me Buccaneers?" , the bartender turn to him and says "YEAH, they're on the side of your buckin' head under yer buckin' hat!".
He walks up the front steps of a house and knocks on the door.
An old man answers.
"Trick-or-Treat" says the boy.
"That's a great pirate costume", replies the old man. "But where are your buccaneers?"
The boy looks at the man and says, "Under my buccin' hat!"
Joke 1: why do pirates like corn so much?... ... Because it is a buccaneer.
Joke 2: have you seen the new pirate movie?... ... It was rated Arrrrrrr.
Joke 3: what's a pirates favorite letter?... (usual people guess "R") ... You would think so, but it is actually the sea.
Works really good as a joke routine.
I'm home for a visit this weekend and in his usual fashion, my dad just randomly pipes up to make a joke. This time around it was a belated Halloween joke.
Dad: "Oh little Johnny, what a good pirate costume. where are your little buccaneers?" Dad, answering his own joke: "Under my buccin' hat."
I just dropped my head and groaned. His job done, the old man left the room with a chuckle.
My dad was on the phone, talking to my grandfather about some corn he was looking at today. My dad pointed out that the corn that was packaged was much more expensive than the unwrapped corn. In fact it was 5 for dollar. When my grandfather heard this he replied "So they were a buccaneer?"
My dad just said "No wonder the kids hate my sense of humor!"
