A list of puns related to "The Bubble Boy (Seinfeld)"
Storyline
Based on a true story, Tod Lubitch is born with a deficient immune system (which is unlike being born with AIDS). As such, he must spend the rest of his life in a completely sterile environment. His room is completely hermetically sealed against bacteria and virus, his food is specially prepared, and his only human contact comes in the form of gloved hands. The movie follows his life into a teenager.
I wasn't really growing up in that time period so they're not going to be super nostalgic for me, but I still think Seinfeld is hilarious and have liked what I watched of some of the other shows. It's interesting too now that Hulu maintains rights to Full House, while Netflix has rights to FullER House. Either way, all those shows are huge and I'm pretty impressed.
Now they just gotta fix their shitty UI back to what it was.

Well, it's happened. I've been doing these for about a year, hoping it wouldn't, but here we are. I own almost every VOD release, but there's one I intentionally do not own. One I do not want. One riffed movie I freaking hate above all others, and it's this one. I have seen it, at least, so I can kind of do this.
The melodramatic gunk is dripping from the seals of this week's somewhat infamous TV movie: The Boy In The Plastic Bubble. A long suffering couple has finally carried a baby to term, but he's long from healthy: he has no immune system to speak of. So one of the cranky old guys from Trading Places condemns him to a lifetime of terrarium living, which he continues until becoming early Kotter John Travolta. Next thing you know, he has a spacesuit, goes to high school, falls in love, gets bullied, and then there's more and more feathered hair, and things get really weird. This thing is a whole thing. It's a wretchedly 70s movie, looks bad, full of ugly colors and all of that. It's most notable for Travolta, who was pre Grease at this point. He was also dating the woman who played his mother, and who died shortly after from breast cancer. Overall, a weird scene.
I can't tell you too much about the riffs specifically, but be aware that this is a 2010 riff, so expect dated references and a brisker pace than VODs from the past few years. This one has done time on the Twitch channel, so you may know it from that, and it's honestly not a bad riff. It's just a really sucky movie. If you have thoughts about the riffing, or anything else, please add them, and counter my ignorance.
Boy In The Plastic Bubble is recommended for 70s enthusiasts, 'before they were huge' fans, and TV movie quality lovers.
Boy In The Plastic Bubble is not recommended for people who want legitimate drama, acting, or medical science.
It is absolutely not recommended for Rip McStudlys.

This is actually a serious question, for a possibly silly (but fun) theory
I was watching Seinfeld just now, the episode where Jerry forgets to return a book for over 20 years. (For those who don't know, Jerry Seinfeld is the main character.)
Anyway, the "book cop", a man named "Mr. Bookman", confronts Jerry about the overdue book (Tropic of Capricorn) and berates him for neglecting the passing of knowledge to the next generation for all sorts of Seinfeldy reasons. At the end of the confrontation, he calls Jerry "Joy Boy"
Oda obviously knows a lot about Western culture and Western themes play a large role in One Piece. So if he watches Seinfeld, it's conceivable (although highly unlikely) that's where Oda got the name from. It also makes me think that "Joy Boy" might just be a moniker Oda heard and chose to adapt
Anyway, this is as I said a fun theory
Wouldβve been nice
