A list of puns related to "Texture (music)"
I've had enough ideas for ambient, drone, metal, hip hop, acoustic folk, you name it.
But I'm a perfectionist, and I will spend 99% of the time trying to find the right tone or watching tutorials about how to use software or searching for online VST packs before I start writing the music.
So as it stands the only things I've recorded have been things done haphazardly by taping a mic to the inside of my acoustic guitar or using Guitar Pro to record the track because it's simpler and at least allows me to focus on the music itself.
I just got a burst of inspiration with an awesome melody for a metal track but as soon as I fired up the DAW I realised how painstaking it's going to be to make it and just recorded myself humming it.
But I can't neglect the tones either, because that's an integral part of the music of course.
Do you guys have any suggestions or strategies about how to overcome this overwhelming and apathetic feeling?
Title. Not the harsh, abrasive kind though i cannot stand that, but something that uses it in a pleasant way
I'm looking for music thats folky, a bit jazzy, has beautiful vocals, and complicated rhythms and meter. Another element I love is non-conventional forms (like a blend between through composed and song form). I love complex music but not when it is too jarring or agitating. A great example of what I'm talking about is Mid-Air Thief. if you havent listened, you should. check out the song 'Swamp' and try to count through it/analyze the form.
I have been experiencing quite the dry spell music wise lately, so discovering some seriously exciting bops would really make my day! Let me know if you have any ideas / suggestions / questions. Thanks for reading! π
It is "legal" to use copyrighted music in mods/texture pack? And after that the mod can be taken down when uploaded to CurseForge?
(Searched on it before but couldn't find anything)
I've been using Cemu to play two games: Paper Mario Color Splash and The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. The emulator mostly works, but I've been getting many minor but annoying issues that I couldn't find anything about online.
Info:
Cemu: 1.25.6 (latest)
CPU: Intel i7-4790
GPU: NVidia GT 720
RAM: 8GB DDR4
OS: Windows 7 64bit
1: Vulkan Texture Corruption
After a while (often just a few minutes, but can take much longer if you're lucky), I'll suddenly have massic texture corruption, which can even extend to Cemu's on-screen overlays (framerate, shader/controller notifications, etc.). Usually seems to happen when the game has to load stuff, like when teleporting in BotW or changing areas in Paper Mario. Very annoying, because while using OpenGL doesn't really change anything for Paper Mario, it's a 2-3fps hit with BotW, which is really bad when some of the heaviest areas (like Lurelin village) can tank to 13fps. Performance rarely goes below 20fps in most areas thankfully, but that extra performance would still be a massive help. I've seen posts suggesting that texture corruption could be caused by a lack of VRAM, but I don't believe that to be the case here. Changing shadow resolution and LOD bias in BotW has done nothing to alter the frequency of the corruptions. Video:https://youtu.be/t0viKlfQ52o
2: Color Splash BGM Muting
The BGM in Paper Mario for some reason mutes itself when certain sound effects are playing, notably the talking SFX and the coin SFX. The only Color Splash audio issue I could find info about online was the audio scratching issue, which I haven't yet encountered. I tried using the sound rpl files that seem to fix audio in some games, but that didn't fix the issue here. This issue is featured in the video above at 0:37.
The following issues aren't a big deal for me (because I can't really use Vulkan with the texture corruption), but still weird:
3: Vulkan Match Emulated Display V-Sync is Broken
Just completely kills performance. Goes from full speed to maybe 2-5fps in both games. Triple/double buffering works, though.
4: Vulkan Async Shaders Cause Crashes
Sometimes crashes when compiling too many shaders at once. Have had it happen a few times in BotW, though not in Paper Mario.
EDIT: Ignore the OpenGL V-Sync thing in the title, I solved it while writing the post and forgot to remove it there.

I would love to know the current possible things to do and how to do them or what applications i can use. I highly enjoy modding games but i just have to learn how first
So I'm a noob as far as modding is concerned. I have learnt how to use Wrye Bash with LOOT and TES4Edit. I have installed obse, 4gb ram patch and the unofficial patches.
Now I don't want the hassle of downloading various texture packs for various environment features. I just want one mod that'll help my game look like something similar to a game from 2011 or something.
I've played Morrowind and Skyrim both and loved both of them. But for some reason I can't get into Oblivion. I suspect one reason may be because I don't like the Oblivion music. Are there any mods that make the music same as Morrowind or Skyrim?in fact I even liked the gameplay music during Daggerfall (I played Skyggerfall mod) Don't get me wrong I love the theme song variant of Oblivion but the normal music during gameplay aren't cut out for me.
A collection of organic texture-rich ambient music. Also serves as a little brain massage π
