A list of puns related to "Tenor Saw"
I know about wound G strings, but you donβt often see a wound C string
Couldn't find it on search engines, and I can't understand some of the words. Maybe someone has an old cd chart with the lyrics, or something like that? This song is great!
Just finished my first contribution to another Bedroom Bands Redditor and am eager to do more.
I also play some guitar and keys in addition to the instruments listed in the title.
I record work in Logic (or GarageBand). Let me know if you want me to add something to your track(s).
Thanks!

Tenor Saw, was a Jamaican dancehall singjay in the 1980s, considered one of the most influential singers of the early digital reggae era. His best-known song was the 1985 hit "Ring the Alarm". In August 1988 he was killed by a motor vehicle in Houston, Texas, with the official cause of death determined as a case of hit and run accident, although other sources insist that he was murdered. The young reggae sensation with the golden voice older than his years was found on the side of the freeway in a remote area in Texas with his legs broken, and injuries to his head. The official cause of death was ruled as pneumonia, but it is believed that he would have probably died from his injuries because he laid helpless out in the open for hours, maybe days before he eventually died. How did Tenor Saw end up on the side of the road in the first place? Who was driving the car that allegedly hit him? Why wasnβt/hasnβt there been more interest in this case over the years? Those are just a couple of the many questions that need answering since this cruel and senseless incident took place all those years ago.
Strangely, on October 26, 1988 a local newspaper [Jamaica Gleaner] in Jamaica reported that Tenor Saw had been shot and killed in New York City. By this time, Tenor Saw had been dead for about two months. Over the years, many rumors have circulated regarding Tenor Sawβs death. The most popular is that he was a victim of a hit and run driver. Others believe he was murdered and then robbed. Some say he was involved in with drug gangs and that his murder was gang-related. There are those who think he owed the wrong people money for a show and was killed because he took the advance, but never performed. Another story said he was murdered by promoters who couldn't afford to pay him for a show. Some rumors say fellow Jamaican artist Super Cat (birth name William Maragh) killed Tenor Saw by running him over and years later also shot and killed another reggae artist (and best friend of Tenor Saw) Nitty Gritty as it was thought Nitty Gritty seeked revenge for Saw's death (Super Cat was arrested for the murder of Nitty Gritty but eventually cleared). Sadly the truth may never be known
playing with tuba, trombone, trumpet, and 2 percussionists. Sounded good. But the saxes sounded like little toys compared to the brass instruments. It was sad. The brass instruments had all this power and timbrel variety (that you could hear), while the saxes sounded more like cheap, wimpy clarinets. Most of the time the saxes played into a mic, but still were lost in the mix. What do you guys think? Do you have any ideas on what they could do differently? Is this a common issue? Should saxes even be in a brass band?
I play some guitar and keys too.
I typically work in Logic (or GarageBand).
Just looking for some new inspiration by way of getting involved w/ other people's projects.
Thanks!
