A list of puns related to "Staple (textiles)"
Ok, mini rant here but is this REALLY necessary?! Back in the day if you purchased say a folded dress shirt it might have 3 or 4 of those little impossible to break plastic staples in it. You would need scissors or a nail clipper to break them. Not so these days...
I mean I get it the staple is designed to be hard to see and hold the product nicely for purchase presentation. I lost a full 30 minutes of my life removing over a dozen of these little bastards from a nice quilt gift presented on a hanger.
Goal here was to get the quilt off the hanger in order to fold it, place in a box and wrap it. This thing had no less than 6 plastic staples in it down both sides forcing you to remove all before removing the hanger. I also get that the hanger makes the product more bulky thus harder to steal. But 12+ staples?
You can't just forget one because then someone goes to snuggle and gets scratched by one. You can't cut the product free without removing immediately because they blend into the fabric.
12+ staples?? ARGH!! Say you really needed this quilt and were cold. Hypothermia would set in a the thing would still have shipping staples in it.
But I ran out of material.
Mark's and Spencer- All products made in Bangladesh.
Zara- Made in China. Made in Vietnam. Made in Cambodia. Made in Morocco.
Forever New- All made in China.
Vero Moda, Only, Jack and Jones- some like jeans and jeggings are made in India. Rest made in China.
These were the shops on the ground floor and occupying maximum floor space.
Then there was Mango- Again Made in Bangladesh and China.
United Colors of Benetton- Made in Bangladesh, some made in India.
Then there was the Accessorize brand- all made in China.
I didn't venture into Forever 21, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Aldo etc but I dont think the scene would be better there.
Textiles from what I understand is the least tech heavy manufacturing and we are importing even that.
>This nostalgic emotion about the demise of the Staples Center is crazy. First, it is a building. Second, they arenβt blowing it up. They are just changing itβs corporate sponsor. What exactly are people nostalgic about β an office supply storeβs sponsorship of a building?
This is that JVG type beat, it's a family thing lol.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on my first review of the DHG PM!
This was my 2nd rep purchase (the PM was my 3rd) and looking back I think it was pretty brave of me to go with a new seller for my 1st seller purchase, but everything worked out and I was happy with the buying process!
I'll note that this bag is pretty rare in this colorway and size, so much so that a good friend of mine and I got in a disagreement about whether this is a rep of a real Celine bag (we're both pretty stubborn). I swear that it was produced in this size and colorway, but it's sold out (at least in the US). I've since seen it a few times in different sellers' albums, so it's become a popular rep in the last couple of months.
------------
Disclosure: Xz asked me to write a review after I had received the bag as a favor. No incentives were offered.
Factory: unknown (I didn't ask)
Seller: Xz via the November New Seller list (why is it spelled welcome wagoon?!).
Price: $200.02 via Paypal in total for the bag, 988 cny (11.11 discount) and 260 cny for shipping
Timeline:
11/5: I asked about this bag I'd found in Xz's album
11/6: Xz confirmed bag was in stock and I paid via Paypal
11/11: Received PSPs and I GLd
11/12: Bag shipped and Xz shared DHL waybill number, which I learned how to used in the Shipping Support thread
12/6: Received my bag via Fedex!

Quality: 8/10
The leather is supple and very black. The hardware is beautiful, weighty, and works well. I'm deducting points for the strong fufu / spray paint smell, which took 5-6 days to air out. Is this calfskin with lambskin lining? I have no idea but I do believe it's real leather and it feels high quality. There was a dent on the bottom from shipping, but it smoothed out after using the bag.
Accuracy: 9/10
This was difficult because I haven't seen the bag in person and I don't own any auth Celine bags. I'm subtracting a point because there are 1 or 2 loose threads in the embroidery (see pic). The size and shape are accurate and the stamping looks good to me. The fabric is rough in texture, but I think that's co

If you know anything about the history of textile design a few of this season's prizes may look familiar; they're based on designs by Anni Albers, one of the biggest names in the field. Since this game wants us to learn more about design, I thought I'd write up a little about an artist I've much admired.
Albers was born in Germany in 1899 and studied fine art with the hopes of becoming a painter. After several years she became disillusioned with painting and applied to study at Bauhaus hoping to work with glass. Unfortunately, many of the workshops did not accept female students at the time, and Albers ended up in the textile studio, which she initially considered boring and domestic.
However, she found that she was interested in the variety of textures and materials that could be used in weaving and became interested in fusing artistic principles with industrial processes and mass production. She rose to head of the weaving studio, making her one of the highest-ranking women in the Bauhaus.
Albers and her husband came to the United States fleeing the Nazi regime, where she also took up printmaking and gained more attention in the art world. She was the first fiber artist to have a solo exhibition at MOMA in 1949. She died in 1994 as one of the most prominent and decorated textile artists in the world.

I'm sure there's some out there. Regardless of the price (if it's not like one of the OG MTG cards that is) or refusal to buy /use it, what's the one card people can't believe you don't own?
For me, it's [[Craterhoof Behemoth]]. I will refuse to buy this for any of my token decks in green. I honestly despise this card, as I've seen it too many times and it's an instant "I win" card. I know it's petty, but just irks me. Anyone else?
Anyone have experience with Goodwill?
I often read comments on Magic Reddit and Twitter about players that are discouraged from playing Commander on a more modest budget. It sucks sometimes where there are cards or deck ideas you want to play but are unable to due to budget constraints but I hope players in those positions aren't too discouraged.
You shouldn't be discouraged from playing Commander if you are playing on a budget because today there are numerous viable staples and hidden gems in the format that cost less than $1.
I'm not talking about janky mediocre budget substitutes. I'm talking about very good cards! Cards that are so good that many decks without modest budget constraints would play. Frankly, there are a lot more than many players realize in large part due to recent reprints and newer cards that are flying under the radar.
Listed below are numerous examples of good sub $1 commander cards but keep in mind this is just the tip of the iceberg:
