Is Tom Mccarthy's 3-film run of The Cobbler, Spotlight, and Timmy Failure one of the strangest 3-film runs in history?
I watched Spotlight again for like the fifth time, and it's one of maybe my ten favorite movies. I think it's a masterpiece with maybe the darkest post-film text screen in movie history. It blows my mind that Mccarthy made it after The Cobbler (which IMO is absolute garbage) and then decided to cash his Oscar check by making a breezy inconsequential kid's movie. It's so strange!
