A list of puns related to "Splitting of the moon"
THIRD POINT
Miracles are for proving claims to prophethood and for convincing those who deny such claims, they are not for compelling people to believe. Therefore, miracles have to be manifested to those who hear claims to prophethood at a degree that will persuade them. Just as it would be contrary to the All-Wise and Glorious Oneβs wisdom to display them all over the world or in so self-evident a manner that all would be compelled to believe, so would it also be contrary to the mystery of manβs accountability. For this accountability requires βopening the door to the reason and not cancelling the power of choice.β If the All-Wise Creator had left the moon split for one or two hours in order to show it to the whole world as the philosophers wished, and it had been recorded in all the general histories of man, then it would have been like all other occurrences in the heavens and would not have been an evidence to Muhammadβs (PBUH) claim to prophethood and been special to it. Or else it would have been such a self-evident miracle that it would have annulled the reasonβs power to choose, and compelled the reason to accept it; willy-nilly, it would have had to assent to his prophethood. Someone with a coal-like spirit like Abu Jahl would have remained at the same level as someone with a diamond-like spirit like Abu Bakr the Veracious; the mystery of manβs accountability would have been lost. It was due to this mystery that, being both instantaneous, and at nighttime, and at a time of sleep, and time differences, mist, and cloud and other factors concealing it, it was not shown to the whole world and did not pass into the histories.
FOURTH POINT
Since this event occurred instantaneously at night while everyone was sleeping, of course it was not seen all over the world. Even if some people had seen it, they would not have believed their eyes. And if it had made them believe, such a significant event would not have become a permanent source for future histories through isolated individual reports.
In some books, it is written that after the moon split into two halves, it fell to earth, but veracious scholars have rejected such additions, saying that they were perhaps added by dissemblers with the intention of belittling this evident miracle and making it valueless.
Also, that time in England and Spain, which were then enveloped in mists of ignorance, would have been just after sunset, in America, it would have been daytime, and in China and Japan, m

The Splitting of the Moon happened neither of its own accord in consequence of certain causes, nor as a result of chance, nor was it a natural event that occurred through the ordinary laws of nature. Rather, the All-Wise Creator of the Sun and the Moon caused it to happen as something out of the ordinary in order to confirm His Messengerβs messengership and to illuminate his claim.
As the mystery of guidance, the mystery of human responsibility, and the wisdom of prophethood required, it was demonstrated as convincing proof to a number of people specified by dominical wisdom. The mystery of wisdom required that it was not shown to people in every region of the world, who had not yet heard of Muhammadβs (PBUH) claim to prophethood. Numerous obstacles prevented them, therefore, such as mist, cloud, and time differences, and the fact that in some countries the moon had not risen, and in others the sun had risen, while in others it was morning, and in yet others the sun had just set.
If it had been shown to all and sundry, it would have been shown as a result of the Sign of Muhammad (PBUH), and a miracle of prophethood, in which case his messengership would have been so manifest that everyone would have been compelled to affirm it. No choice would have remained for manβs reason. And belief is attained through the reason and the power of choice. The mystery of human responsibility would have been lost. And if it had been shown merely as an occurrence in the heavens, its connection with Muhammadβs (PBUH) messengership would have been severed, and it would have retained no peculiarity to him.
To Conclude: There is no longer any doubt concerning the possibility that the Splitting of the Moon occurred; it has been proved decisively. And now we shall mention six of the many evidences pointing to its occurrence.
The concurrence of the Companions of the Prophet, who were all men of justice, on its occurrence.
Their agreement in expounding the verse And the moon is split of all exacting commentators on the Qurβan.
The fact that relying on numerous different chains of authorities and lines of transmission, all the scholars of the Prophetic Traditions and transmitters of the sound narrations narrated the event.
The testimony of all the saints and the veracious, those who receive inspiration, and uncover the mysteries of the creation.
The confirmation of learned scholars and theologians, whose ways differ greatly from one another.
The fact tha

The Hour is night, and the moon is split. * But if they see a sign, they turn away, and say:
βThis is evident magic.β
Philosophers and their unreasoning imitators, who want to eclipse with their vicious delusions the Splitting of the Moon, which is a miracle of Muhammad (PBUH) that shines like the moon, say: βIf the Splitting of the Moon had occurred, it would have been known to the whole world and would have been related throughout the subsequent history of man.β
TheΒ Answer : Since the Splitting of the Moon was demonstrated as an evidence of prophethood, and happened instantaneously, at night when people were asleep, and before a gathering who, although they witnessed such an evidence, denied it; and since there were obstacles hindering the sighting of it such as mist, clouds, and time-differences between different parts of the world; and since at that time science and civilization were not widespread, and observation of the skies was very limited, and the event itself was exceptional, there was, therefore, nothing to necessitate that it should have been seen all over the world and passed into the general histories. For now, listen to Five Points out of many that will scatter those clouds of delusion concerning the Splitting of the Moon.
FIRST POINT
The extreme stubbornness of the unbelievers there at that time is well-known and is recorded in history. And yet, when the All-Wise Qurβan announced this event to the whole world through saying:
And the moon is split, not one of those unbelievers, who denied the Qurβan, spoke up to give the lie to this verse; that is, not one of them denied the event it was announcing.
If the event had not been considered as a definite fact by the unbelievers at that time, they would have taken the verse as a pretext, denied it in a most fearsome manner, and tried to attack and overthrow Muhammadβs (PBUH) claim to prophe-thood. However, the biographies of the Prophet and histories mentioning the event relate nothing to suggest that the unbelievers denied it. The only thing that history relates is, as the verse:
And [they] say, βThis is evident magicβ
points out, the unbelievers who saw the event declared it to be magic and said that if the caravans in other places had seen it, it was true, otherwise he had bewitched them. The caravans arriving the following morning from the Yemen and other places announced that they had seen such a happening. S

I love the Apostate Prophet, he discusses this perfectly:
I recently had a trip which kinda felt like missing pieces of myself were put back in place and I felt more me than ever, it was like a ressurection of my ego, something which made it stronger somehow.
(320 ug of a very potent stuff)
I don't earn a lot of money and get major anxiety if anyone in my friendship group suggests going to a restaurant. Last week, I drank tap water and ordered cheap food (I'm veggie so my meals are usually cheaper anyway, but I did fancy a few beers) because I knew I only had a certain amount of money in my bank, while my friends ordered whatever they wanted, including multiple alcoholic drinks, spending nearly double what I was spending. When the bill came, nobody noticed my discomfort (I tried dropping hints!) and I ended up having to split the bill equally. To them it was probably a few quid, no biggie, ("it all balances out eventually"), but it absolutely ruined my evening as my card was declined in front of everyone
EDIT: I should have said, my close friends know that I'm skint (I talk about it openly), just maybe didn't realise how dire the situation was at that moment. But when it's a large group with lots of friends and their partners who you don't know very well it can be humiliating to draw attention to it in front of a table of people. I know technically it solves the problem to announce to everyone that you'll only be paying for what you personally consumed and no more, but it's nicer for someone to notice: "XX didn't have drinks or a dessert, shall we all just pay for what we had?"
I started WONY from day one and haven't really stopped since. Got most of my God rolls by day 3 of launch (got to level 40 day 2). I was able to do a pretty max out red rifle build by day 4. Started farming Heroics the next day. The loot drops during the first few days were very generous to say the least. Even since the new loot change the drop rate has been horrendous compared to before. The change is way too drastic! I understand the lowered drop rate was needed to prolong game life, but they swung the needle way too much. Players that didn't play the first few days are bascially almost locked out of decent progression rate.
My clanmates and I have benefited tredmously being first dayers of the expansion. Bascially farming Heroics with easy and maxing out builds pretty fast even with the new drop rate. That is the problem right there. Now you have two groups of players. The first dayers that are just killing it farming Heroics and the rest struggling to even clear hard content. The grind right now is a NIGHTMARE for people joining us.
I have posted many comments about optimizing builds before trying harder content. But at this stage of the loot drop, the time it takes to optimize a build is simply ridiculous. Massive made a huge mistake on this and it must be fixed to ensure longevity of the game.
The NYT just reported that the two met at Warren's home to discuss 2020 and both stated that they were strongly considering running, though neither tried to dissuade the other from running. If they do both run, and if the primary field is as populated as it is expected to be, might Warren and Sanders split the vote and go out early, or will the sheer number of candidates dilute the effect sufficiently?
And pt.2: a growing divide among democrats seems to be established, long-serving democrats vs up-and-coming fresh faces. How much will this factor into older and established candidates like Bernie/Warren versus newer faces like Beto O'Rourke or Kamala Harris, should they run?
I've read about some milioners and billionaires who have split their wealth right down the middle.
I think there must be a fair distribution of wealth but splitting it 50/50 must be a loop hole in the law, because it's just crazy.
mackenzie bezos is going to be a billionaire for literary doing ABSOLUTELY nothing to deserve it.
Edit: so apparently mackenzie bezos has contributed to Amazon equally from the start and had to quit her job to focus on Amazon. Bad example but there are plenty of people who abuse this law.
There must be a change in the laws of marriage.
Whoeverβs idea that was at Bungie should get a promotion. Iβll very gladly take 25 score for being 1/4 of the way done with a 100 score Triumph. Iβm not a huge Crucible player so being able to claim parts of a bunch of Triumphs Iβll probably never fully finish, was so satisfying!
Just wondering whether there is evidence for one of these two options. From what l'm seeing it's either that the memories are generated by the brain during the split or there's a realm in the inner world unreachable by the system where new potential alters reside and splitting would simply be migrating from that place to where the system is.
Sorry if l'm coming off as offensive, l don't mean to be!
One half will always overpay and another half will always underpay. Some people will only have a small meal that can be vastly cheaper than the other peopleβs meals. Itβs not fair that whoever took a salad also has to sponsor your steak, your multiple glasses of wine and your desert. Pay for your own meal.
PS: I donβt know if this is common in other countries but itβs very common in France.
In ROTI, Cameron mentioned in his ending that after he "survived without crippling injuries" (i.e. being outside his bubble for a long period of time), he would split the million dollar prize with his fellow 2nd gen contestants as celebration for it, which also includes Lightning, his fellow finalist in that season.
Here, I will calculate how much the contestants will each get from the cash money prize Cam will share with them:
Since the end of Island, the prize became $1,000,000.
In ROTI, and for the 2nd generation, there are 13 contestants.
From this:
($1,000,000) / (13 ROTI/2nd gen contestants) = 76,923.07
Rounded off:
= $76,923
So, the amount each of the 2nd gen contestants would get, including Cam himself, would be about 76,923 dollars, or almost 77,000 dollars.
So, what do you think? Is this a fair share or not? Give you thoughts.

i've been splitting on my boyfriend for like a month and it sucks so much because i really want to love him harder again but there's this kind of mental barrier rn cause loving him hurt me (he lied to me about something and it really wasn't a big thing but i get super triggered when anyone isn't honest with me). i'm really desperate at this point cause i feel like i will never get better. but drugs really do give you clarity sometimes so i figured it might help.. i have a lot of experience with this stuff and i think it might be able to change things to the better. idk tho. i'm scared i'll just have a bad trip. i want to take either mdma or lsa (lsd-like substance) on a good friend's birthday party. me and my boyfriend will go there together. does anyone have experience with this and can recommend me something?
I remembered this argument i had a long while ago it went like this.
(He didn't know I am an ex Muslim, he thought I'm Christian)
"By Allah's command muhammad split the moon in two"
wouldn't there be marks on the moon if it was split? There are no split marks on it.
"Akhi, you are misguided (he keeps saying that with a snotty tone , as if being a muslim is an achievement) the moon has signs of splitting, there are pictures online"
He brings our pictures, badly photoshoped pictures on google and some cringey ayas beneath them. I tell him these are not even good fakes, he insists that he saw a picture before but Google removed it because theyre jews. Then i told him why would they do that, he says because they hate muslims so they photoshop it.
Then i told him, but i take photos of the moon myself (i do stargazing / space photography as a hobby) i showed him a picture i took of the moon then he said something dumb
"Brother you're misguided, the cracks are on the sides, you will see them when the moon turns"
I told him the moon never "turns" it is tidal-locked to earth so we only see that side of the moon. I showed him what that meant, and i was surprised he did not know given that he was a university student, albeit in engineering. He then told me that the pictures were taken from the sides. Then i told him how the jahanam would people see the moon splitting if it wae split from the side? I was ready for him to tell me that when it split it went bayblade and spun or something. He didnt say anything so i asked him another question.
If the moon did split wouldnt the rest of the world notice ? You mean to tell me that only some arab guys in a desert noticed the moon splitting in two?
He then said that allah only showed it to muslims. Then i asked whats the point then? If it was a miracle only revealed to muslims who are already Muslims. I told him also that the so called miracle was a response to the non muslims who doubted muhammad then he said
"Yes akhi , Muhammad did the miracle and it made all the kuffar speechless, they went so far to not write about it from the amount of shock they had."
He was right, i was speechless as i saw my head split in two. I just fucking left. There is no point in having a discussion with Muslims.
The "strength" of PSA is Squad Mode
The heart of this game is Planetside: Big Battles. The Squad mode is absolutely great. The fights are really fun and intense with so many large Squads working together.
Squad vs Squad battles get absolutely insane, especially late game when Vehicles and Power Weapons become more prominent. There's also a high chance a few people will have mics and work as a team/communicate. This makes it better than the typical "fill" Battle Royale team modes. It makes pubbing actually pretty good.
Splitting the current population between Squads and Teams is a bad idea
Team Mode isn't too shabby, but it's definitely not the strong point of Planetside Arena. Splitting a small and growing player base into two queues means smaller Squad games, and less people playing it. It also means longer queues time for everybody.
If everyone was playing Squads, the quality of Squad games would be even higher than they already are. Even with less than 100-150 players, Squads feels fun.
I think that everyone needs to be fed into Squads games until there is enough players for regular 300 player matches. This could be quite awhile, but it is necessary.
The difference between Squads and Teams throw off new players, and could cause them to have a bad impression
New players don't even know the difference between Teams and Squads. There is no tooltip that tells you what each mode is about.
New players have a 50% chance of selecting Teams, which feels more like a traditional Battle Royale, which other games do better. Even if they were labeled properly, there's still a good chance that people would pick Teams anyways, which is doing themselves a disservice. As I said, Squads is the strength of this game, so people choosing it over Teams could have a bad first impression.
The game so deliberately feels designed for Squads
The game feels designed for Squad mode. Even if it wasn't, it just works a lot better in Squads. There is a lot of depth and teamwork that goes on in Squads. Even with pugs, it's a great time. Again, with 12 players, there's a good chance a few people have a mic and are willing to work as a team.
To end, I know this is a drastic proposition, but I feel it is the best choice for the game.
I've posted this in r/dndstories but I figured it could also go here, editing out the Shadowrun explanations are not needed here. This story comes quite late in the campaign, featuring a player doing a Very Stupid Thing, somehow surviving, and growing as a result.
My campaign style: So what do you think of... heists? I built this campaign around a team doing a variety of heists. I present a scenario and my player scheme their way through it. Originally this was built out of a love of playing rogue but annoyance that stealthing is pointless when you're the only one that does it, so now the whole team is stealthy in a variety of ways (aka I made a campaign I would love to play in, but can't :( )
One more thing - IMO the rules of Shadowrun 5E are, in generous terms... sorely in need an editor. Because of this, I homebrew a simpler version of the rules, and prevent me from needing to learn everything in one go (as I was new to rules when starting) I made a clear rule: no combat. If combat started, this world was vicious and harsh and I would kill PCs who didn't run. At a later point once I knew more I would state when combat becomes an option, though in fairness I liked the way it focused my players on original thinking then door smashing. So rather then min-maxing damage output utility options became key. My second rule? If they did a Very Stupid Thing, I would kill PCs. I maybe was a brand new DM and almost certainly wearing kid gloves on my players, but I wanted them going into the campaign knowing that PC death was on the table as our campaigns in our group usually don't.
The Players:
Kipper - a streetwise, sex-addicted bigoted magic man
Bishop - a heavily chromed painkiller addicted sniper
Tank - A giant troll bowman who knows magical kung fu
Shades - An anime otaku elf decker
Hura - A weapon smuggler dwarf lady now specialising in legal procedure
Kipper was a party animal. At the end of every heist, he'd take his share, and go on a bender of incredible debauchery. Whilst the rest of the group would buy equipment or train skills, Kipper would just blow it on things he could snort, ingest, or negotiate time spent for a reasonable fee. As a DM one part of me regretted this, as he wouldn't grow on par with the team, but I was mostly pleased by how in character this was. Kipper had hit the genetic jackpot - he was the 1% how had access to the whole spectrum of magic, and was talented too, what did he
