A list of puns related to "Spatial ability"
The ability to make a blueprint, to visualize something in 3D and draw it, or solve a 3D puzzle or see Cubes out of several squares, has always been a struggle for me. At school it was so bad that my teacher had to shadow the sides I was supposed to see in order to see the cube in a math equation. When I draw I always ask others for help with the 3D perspective cause I just don't see it.
I read that high Ti users have a really sharp spatial visualization, so being inferior Ti maybe explains it. Does anyone else relate? Please state type in comments for data purposes.
Hi all, so I took the WAIS a couple of years ago when I was 18. I wasn't shown specifics, (parents prohibited me from seeing) but I was told by my treating counselor that I scored in the "very superior" range overall. Not tooting my own horn, but I don't think my general IQ is a hindrance to anything. I did apparently score below average on some things which diagnosed me with "mild" (psychiatrist's words) ADHD-PI.
I took a separate attitude test through a private company, and I got an above average score in spatial intelligence (I scored extremely well on most of the tasks except one, which lowered my score), and was specifically suggested to go into management in a STEM, medical, or artistic field. Was told if I go into a job that doesn't harness spatial intelligence, I will be very dissatisfied with my job. I was a history major, and was specifically advised not to pursue that route.
However, I believe I have dyscalculia, which I was never tested for. I tend to reverse numbers (seeing 16 as 91 for example) making basic computational errors, etc. A majority of STEM jobs require facility with numbers and math. I am repeating college algebra, to brush up on some stuff (I took a precalc course and was so lost), but seriously, math feels like hitting my head against the wall compared to many other things.
What I am getting at, do you guys know of careers/majors good for someone with an aptitude for spatial and verbal intelligence, but not necessarily "arithmetic" intelligence? Are there any statistics on this? Thank you :)
As Iβm studying math and coding, the syntax of equations and logical statements are more or less okay. But when it comes to graphing, visualization, and representations of concepts I get lost. I think I underestimated the importance of these things for learning math. I also have a terrible sense of direction and other poor spatial awareness so it might be my brain lol. What are some tactics for overcoming this deficiency?

1. Spatial/Temporal Translation: so the technology can adapt space and time(!)
1.1 The significance of this is really striking to me. The technology can change and manipulate the very space around you and presumably move somewhat through time. To what extent isn't clear, so we can only assume that by adjusting gravity it's also impacting time (as time warps and changes depending on the mass of an object). I'd imagine that the suggestion is that the craft can manipulate its mass and therefore affecting time within proximity, not necessarily time travelling, but we may need to include that as a possibility too, as outlandish as it sounds.

Talking about sex differences, I was reading that Eleanor Macoby and Nagy Jacklin (1976), influenced by Karen Horney, found that women have more verbal skills and men have more space or spatial and mathematics abilities. Do you know any study that supports or contradict this?

Hey guys! My name is Matthew and I am a senior at Tarleton State University. I am conducting a survey for my senior capstone course and I would love everyoneβs help! My survey is about the relationship between spatial abilities and video games. There is a lot of negative stereotypes that revolves around video games, so I chose to do a survey that proves otherwise! And donβt worry, if you do not play video games, you can take the survey as well! It will also measure the spatial abilities of those who do not play video games to those that do! So if you decide to take my survey, comment below and let me know what you thought of it! It is only 20 questions, so it will only take 15-30 minutes! The link to my survey will be provided below!!
Can anyone explain the point of this ability? Does it have any use?
Cause it doesn't help me move forward like blink would
The rift moves about as fast as you do so the only time i can see it being useful is if you press it while standing still jsut to avoid walking
It just seems so boring compared to all other racials, especially the allied race racials
I'm hoping that more experienced mathematicians will have some insight into this. According to a neuroscientist friend, spatial reasoning is pretty strongly predictive of mathematical ability. Can anyone see why this would be?
A few things spatial reasoning is used for: navigation, visualizing objects and their transformations in the mind's eye, object and scene recognition
It seems like in higher level maths, there is not much room for geometric intuitions. For example in linear algebra, at first everything is in 2D or 3D space so you can use that to build an understanding, but eventually things will get too theoretical for you to be able to relate it to the world around you.
Another area that seems closely related to space is topography, and I haven't taken an advanced topography course but it sounds like the situation is the same as in linear algebra - things will quickly become too theoretical for you to be able to get any sort of real world geometric intuitions in.
Am I maybe wrong about this? Or is there some other way spatial reasoning is used in math? Any thoughts are welcome
Howdy redditors I come to you with a question regarding audio hardware specifically for gaming.
As the title states what are the specific hardware components or features to take into account when considering the speaker's ability to replicate what spacial data is being made available from games/applications.
Mainly at what point are hi-fi technologies simply going towards things like audio or bass quality rather than point oriented audio which in the case of gaming provides additional information to whoever is using the application aside from simply playing sound?
Is there a relevant industry term, type, or component/chip hardware that can be easily used to distinguish if a given set of headphones at least using all of the spatial data being given by current games/applications which commonly use location-oriented sound?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if this is the the wrong subreddit, this question has some crossover relevance and I don't know exactly where to turn.
Some may not get it but I'll explain it to you; there are mainly 3 dimensions but there are infinite amount of them that doesn't really include the fabric of reality itself. 1st dimension only lets you go in one linear direction which is back wards and forwards. 2nd dimension lets you go up and down. And 3rd dimension is where we actually live at this current state of time, letting us freely move around since the 1st and 2nd dimension is combined with the 3rd dimension. 4th dimension however doesn't exist within the fabric of reality, but what if it did? Others argued that 4th dimension means time itself but there's really that huge gap between time and space (aka spatial). 4th dimension can let you see all the organism of the world, whether it's organic, non-organic, it doesn't matter since the 4th dimension can let you see through anything out of physical objects or organism. And do note that every last of these dimension's have time included itself. But here is where we get it the real question;
What if you got the ability to cut through these 4th dimension including the others of course. Will it affect time? Will it affect the fabric of reality? What's it's drawbacks on countering it? What will happen to the dimension's? What will happen to a human and the dimension itself if he/she got cut by the ability itself?
