Hi there! This will be my first time on Amtrak, would anybody be able to give me some advice or maybe even a heads up to what I should prepare myself for? Leaving in a few weeks, my first trip is over night leaving at 9:30PM getting there at 8:30AM, and then coming back it’s a 12PM-10PM trip, same stations just reversed!

A tweet earlier this week (that was seemingly a joke) was made by CFB reporter Bud Elliott that suggested Jurkovec may return for BC this week. Tweet

Jurkovec has been out since a Week 2 hand injury against UMass and was deemed “doubtful” to return this season.

Since that original tweet, many have claimed that sources within BC Athletics are preparing for a Jurkovec return tonight. Aided by the fact that last week at Syracuse Jurkovec began practicing without his hand cast. Just a few examples from (decently) reputable people:

BC Football has seemed to attempt to quell these rumors by tweeting pictures of Jurkovec’s locker, which has no pads.

There’s a lot more going on here that I don’t have the time to put in 1 post, but this should give you the basics. We shall see who suits up for the Eagles in a few hours.

Honestly curious! Also, if you do or don't, have you been to Virginia?

Edited for a little back story: Curious what other Americans think. I am from the western reaches of VA, the mountain parts, but moved to Richmond area. Been to NOVA a bit and.... it's like two different universes. Not just the environment though, different food, accents, culture. A lot of people here in RVA and out of state friends/people/coworkers I've met here have very differing opinions on and perspectives of what VA means as far as the "South" goes. Wanted to get some further outside perspective. Thanks!

Welcome to our first election night of 2022! Local, state and federal races - tonight, we've got it all! Here's the rundown:

Florida (polls close 7pm ET)

• 20th Congressional District Special Election: The 20th District has been vacant for nine months since the death of Rep. Alcee Hastings (D). Finally, a successor will be elected tonight, and Democrat Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is the heavy favorite in this Biden+55 district. Another Dem in the House will help our narrow majority!

• State Senate District 33 primary: This Broward County seat is looking for a new Senator following the resignation of Sen. Perry Thurston (D), who ran for FL-20. In this Biden+56 district, the primary winner is almost certain to win the general election. It's a two-way race between nonprofit founder Terry Edden, and Broward County School Board chair Rosalind Osgood.

• State House District 88 primary: This Biden+54 seat that sprawls through Palm Beach County is looking to replace Rep. Omari Hardy (D), who also ran for FL-20. Tonight's Dem primary is between legislative assistant and local activist Jervonte Edmonds, and attorney Sienna Osta. May the best candidate win!

• State House District 94 primary: In yet another safe-seat race (Biden+60), this Fort Lauderdale-based seat is holding a primary to replace Rep. Bobby DuBose (D), who also ran for FL-20. It's a four-way race between Daryl Campbell, Josephus Eggelleton III, Rod Kemp, and Elijah Manley. The winner tonight will advance to the general election, no runoff needed.

South Carolina (polls close 7pm ET)

• Charleston City Council District 1: Tonight is a five-way race to fill a seat vacated due to the previous incumbent suffering health problems. Dems have thrown their endorsements behind insurance agent Jen Gibson. Let's build our bench in this important shifting city! RESULTS

• State House District 89: This Biden+67 seat in Norfolk is looking for a new Representative after Rep. Jay Jones (D) resigned his seat. Navy veteran Jackie Glass is tonight's candidate. It's important to send more Dems to Richmond as we dig in to resist the Youngkin agenda!

The Celtics have won on the road in Charlotte, Orlando, Miami, and Houston

The Celtics are 0-3 at home with losses in DC and Toronto.

With this evidence I am betting my life savings on Celtics over the Mavs on Saturday.

Edit: seems to be road closures because they have blocked all traffic south to Carson through Washoe Valley

I just drove through. Checked and now it says the road is closed. I think it is closed going towards Steamboat. No ambulances or fire trucks right now
