FYI, for the records that I opened from the packaging, most of them either have never been played or played very little. I think the most record I played from this list was Mac Miller's Swimming.
Also for the ones that I opened from packaging, I immediately placed them into an outer sleeve so that the jackets are protected.

I've had that feeling about objects. Like, just looking around the room you're in and thinking about all the people who have needed to be involved to create all of these things and move them for the end result to be them being with me right now.
In July of this year, I was gifted a 3-month journal subscription from my mother for my birthday. I was skeptical, but wanted to give it a good try because it was a gift so I struggled to keep an open mind.
First, their onboarding materials gave me incorrect instructions to join the "Sonder Club". This club used to be in a private facebook group, which is where my onboarding instructions told me to go, but apparently (as I learned later) this group was closed several months before and they moved to their own app instead. I only figured this out after being declined for membership on the facebook group 3-4 times and emailed customer service about it. The response a copy/paste form template email that was clearly not tailored to me or my situation, just a form email designed to point people to the app. It did say that they manually added me to the App since my membership was a gift and I did not have my own registration information. My mother was getting all the emails and her email was the one tied to the membership, so apparently that meant I needed to be added manually to be verified as a member to the App. Frustrating. Even more frustrating was that after they told me I had been added, I got the error code "Cannot return null for non-nullable field Mutation.checkMembership". I sent an email about this and got the same copy/paste form email back as the day before, however it included a question asking how I got the information for the facebook group even though I mentioned that they sent me there in the welcome materials in my email the day before. Already, things were not going well and definitely got off on the wrong foot. I was extremely frustrated by this exchange, especially since getting automated-ish emails not once but twice about the same problem shows a lack of care and attention. I also want to mention that unless you have a smart phone and join their app, you will not have access to the community. But, this was a gift. I was determined to try to make the most of it since my mother thought I could use it.

These kind of thoughts throw me into an existential crisis. There's so much waste out there. The McDonald's toy is a perfect example too. They've been making these things for decades; all those raw materials, all the energy spent to take those materials through multiple processes in multiple locations, to be shipped all over the world, only to wind up landfills after being played with briefly (if at all). And there's so, so many cheapy, shitty products out there like that. But at least I got to experience the joy of making a Gomba flip a few times, I guess.
Aufgrund der aktuellen Posts wollte ich auch mal meinen Senf zum Thema dazu geben.
Ja, eine hohe Miete ist in erster Linie natürlich erstmal nichts tolles. Das geht alles potenziell von der Sparrate ab, man hat das Gefühl mehr zu zahlen, und wenn einem die Bekanntschaft erzählt, wie (potenziell) wenig manche anderen zahlen, dann kann das schon nerven.
Kurz zu mir: Ich hab jetzt schon einige Umzüge hinter mir, und bisher hatte ich ausnahmslos privat vermietete Wohnung, die tendenziell im Rahmen / einigermaßen günstig waren. Ich hatte mit jeder Wohnung irgendwelchen Ärger.
Wohnung 1: Eigentlich eine nette kleine Wohnung, aber nach einem Jahr sind darüber richtig laute Mieter eingezogen, sodass ich eigentlich jeden Tag mit der Angst nach Hause gefahren bin, dass es gleich wieder richtig nervig wird. Das war alles noch im Rahmen was Lärm anging, die waren also nicht extrem laut, aber halt laut genug. Das Problem waren eher die Wände, die an einer Stelle einfach alles durchgelassen haben. Zudem waren die Fenster ziemlich undicht, und es hat teils ordentlich gezogen. Der Vermieter hier war leider auch enorm unzuverlässig, Rechnungen kamen erst nach 5x Nachfragen an. Nach Mietrecht ist das natürlich gut für mich weil eventuelle Nachforderungen verfallen, aber junge junge, ich hatte Glück dass hier nichts konkret kaputt gegangen ist, da wäre ich sonst lange beschäftigt gewesen bis ich da jemand erreiche.
Wohnung 2: Günstige Wohnung, etwas größer als die erste. Allerdings auch hier - Ein Teil der Wohnung ist leider ziemlich hellhörig, so dass ich es eigentlich jedes mal mitbekomme, wenn meine streitlustigen Nachbarn mal wieder loslegen. Zudem musste ich hier auch Hausarbeiten am Haus erledigen, was sich deutlich spaßiger angehört hatte als es tatsächlich war. Auch sonst hat mir die Nachbarschaft hier gerne auch mal ein bisschen Müll auf die Terrasse geworfen, obwohl man sich nach vorne hin als "extrem harmonische Hausgesellschaft" gegeben hat.
Wohnung 3: Die netten Vermieter im Haus haben sich hier leider nach einem Monat als absolute Arschlöcher rausgestellt. Ständig am Fenster gestanden wenn ich oder jemand anderes ins Haus kam, und nach jeder Party erstmal vor der Türe gestanden. Zusätzlich dazu waren hier die Rohre gerne mal verstopft, das Wasser lief nicht richtig etc. etc. - Und da ist ein schlechter Draht zum Vermieter nicht so toll, auch wenn der Vermieter dazu verpflichtet ist das zu beheben, man will ja auch ein gutes Verhältnis haben, sonst wirds a
