A list of puns related to "Sole Survivor Policy"
So Iβm active duty navy, been in for 3 years. Just heard about a policy regarding being the last of a bloodline being restricted from military service and was wondering if being the only person with my last name/bloodline alive if the policy applies to me. I read a DOD instruction saying I can apply for separation under that clause but it was a little vague on whether that required my family to die in service or not. Not necessarily looking to get out just curious on the policy.
Congratulations! Youβve just been hired as the executive creative director for Season 49.
You have a say in casting so it can be captain, all-star, mentor, FvF, BvW, or a new format!
At the meeting with the CBS executives, they tell you that you have complete creative control over the season with one exception. They slide an envelope across the table to you. You carefully open the envelope and pull out itβs contents. Inside there is a single piece of paper: a picture of Survivor legend Cirie Fields.
You look up confused, as the main CBS boss person exhale smoke from their cigar. They then speak a single, raspy, sentence.
βGet this woman a goddamned crown.β
What twists and season format do you design to guarantee a Cirie victory?
EDIT: Ya'll understood the assignment. These comments are hilarious.
Iβd watch the hell outta it -
Besides the content given directly in game about his unit and decorated war hero status. His rank and most is not given so I've pieced a little bit of stuff together mainly just from the shot in opening scene of him on patrol. Believing in the 2070s they still go by current military doctrine. He is seen with four other troops in which looks roughly like a patrol formation, with troops in a column like formation on the side of the road and him more in the center. So him in this Position would point to him being a squad leader or fire team leader. Due to the small number of troop shown I would say more than likely a fire team leader. Fire team leaders are typically E-5 sergeant. As for mos I'm just gonna go with infantry honestly.
By Arab Spring, I'm mainly talking about Libya, Tunisia, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen.
Lots of American Soldiers committed war crimes on the Canadians, what are the chances he did the same?
Fallout 4 PSA: You are not a synth!
Hi! Iβm just here to tell you that you arenβt a synth and explain in no uncertain terms why that is
the case. Honestly, the theory that Fallout 4βs player character, the Sole Survivor, is a synth? I expected that to die out years ago. But weβve got some really large and impressive mods that have this faulty assumption baked into their story, so Iβm here to set the record straight.
But before I do that, Iβd like to discuss why this theory is so appealing to a large swath of the player base and, as such, refuses to die.
Skipping over the obvious benefit of role-playing the Terminator, quite a few people do not want to play as Nate or Nora. It...really is that simple. The story proceeds as if the SS is one, specific character. Probably has four in all Special stats. It does not care if you have 10 Intelligence with a maxed out Science perk, Justin Ayo will still decry your lack of scientific credentials. It does not matter if you are currently wearing power armor, Finn will still try to mug you and get wasted by Hancock. It does not matter if you just walk past Piper and the Mayor while they are having their argument, you will still have Story of the Century dropped into your quest log.
Donβt get me wrong, Fallout 4 is a game of choices. The game is filled with questions of your allegiance. Do you side with the iron men crewing the USS constitution or betray them to the scavengers? Do you help Bobbi No-Nose steal from Hancock to gratify her envy or do you reward her with a traitorβs death? The biggest of these is the Synth question; is honoring their inalienable rights a worthy trade-off for scientific progress? Are they too dangerous to be kept alive to begin with? Or are their rights a necessary sacrifice to build a brighter future?
But none of these decisions are the players.
These decisions are Nateβs or Noraβs.
If Fallout 4 was filled with dialogue checks, the four options you get constantly changing and switching up depending on your SPECIAL stat allocation and perks obtained, the general opinion of Fallout 4βs story would be much more positive. Because then these decisions would feel like the playerβs decision.
But itβs the same dialogue every single time.
Going with the assumption that the Player Character is a synth is a rebellion against this idea that youβre a grieving parent searching for their child and nothing else. Against this set of rails youβve been bolted to. That your character was prog

Nate served in the Resource Wars, saw humanity (at the time) at its absolute worst, being drafted into a terrible war that only spelt out the end of the world. Everyone knew nuclear was coming, but I'm sure Nate knew from a soldier's perspective that it would only happen within a matter of time. That didn't make it easier when the bombs fell obviously. Then he sees his wife killed in front of him, his infant son kidnapped, and himself powerless to stop it. He emerges 210 years later to a world where people kill each other over scraps of food, a world filled with horrible mutated monsters, groups and factions at war, slavery, with everyone he knows and loves is dead. Nate then has to press on to find his son, in a world that is a shell of its former self. I can't imagine how any other player character in the Fallout series that has lost as much as Nate. I know this isn't an original opinion, but my god, I think Bethesda nailed it on taking everything away from Nate when developing his character.
Ashely is not eligible for this list cuz π you Ashely
Russell famously tried to buy the title of sole survivor of Samoa from Natalie for $100,000 (the fan favorite award that he won) at the reunion. If Natalie had accepted, what would have happened? Natalie gets richer, but other than that, I don't see what else happens. People online would still probably consider Natalie the winner. Would CBS use that as an argument to bring him back for WaW?
As you wander about the Commonwealth, you get a random encounter where you come in contact with an NPC that has the same stats, model, inventory and voice (same VA) and name as the character (The Sole Survior) you created and built up to that point.
He accuses you of being a synth from the Institute. No matter your charisma stats or your dialouge choices you will engage in combat with him. Killing him rewards you with his inventory, which is a clone of your inventory, except The Sole Survivor you killed doesn't have a synth component in his inventory.
I read a post yesterday discussing a season that said the goat won and my first thought was someone canβt be both a goat and win, but Iβm not sure I fully believe that either. Iβm kind of on the fence leaning towards no someone canβt be both so Iβm curious what everyone else thinks.
Could be for any reason, including just personal preference.
The first eg. that comes to mind for me is Michele as a bit of a disappointing winner from KR, and Aubry who I would have picked as her replacement. I personally just felt that Aubry played a much more aggressive and strategic game, which is what I wouldβve wanted from a winner that season. I can respect the juryβs verdict though, and understand the appeal of Micheleβs more under-the-radar gameplay.
There's no damn counter to this, if your board is filled with creatures, it all goes down the drain + the opponent gets to have a buffed up creature thats hard to kill which will strike your face. If you don't have a spell to kill it the next turn, you're screwed because he will strike again. All this for only 6 mana, this is bullshit. This card is stronger than End times which is a 8 mana card and with that card, you cannot attack the turn the card is used.
So I tend to RP when playing RPG's and I was curious about the SS and their age. We don't know anything in the lore that would pinpoint either Nate or Nora's age when they are in the Commonwealth as both Nate and Nora were frozen in the Vault. But if we had to speculate, roughly speaking how old would Nora be? I am actually about to start Nuka World and finished off all other quests and dlc's. But anyways, if we had to guess, what would be a good age for Nora? I went with the default Nora here: https://imgur.com/a/l75Mqep identical to the one on the Fallout Wiki as I have a habit to stick with default preset characters when playing RPG's due to the fact that I assume that that's their legitimate lore accurate appearance, but that's just my opinion. Any thoughts on what Nora's age might be? I mean more of fixed age if we are to go by an exact number. Earlier in the game, there was a conversation with an NPC, I don't recall who but they called Nora a young lady to which Nora responded, it's been a long time since I had been a young lady, so perhaps that could be an hint at her age.
When you've completed all the quests you wanna finish, killed everything you wanna kill, and done all you can do, where does your character go? As a roleplayer, it's always something that greatly interests me. For my current run, I just finished building a Slocum's Joe diner, a Nuka Cola museum, and I'm almost done my Unstoppables Museum. I'm thinking my Survivor either retires from fighting and spends his days running his restaurant and museum, or he moves to Spectacle Island and lives a quiet life alone, only occasionally venturing across the Commonwealth for supplies.
I know in the game you can become Sentinel in the Brotherhood while also being the Minutemen General. But lore wise would it be a problem?
When I ask this, I mean that thereβs no Shaun or Nate/Nora. Itβs you and all your history except for all of the people you know are gone.
Would you live in diamond city working on cases with Nick Valentine? Would you stay in Vault 111 and only go out when necessary? Would you run off with someone and build a home together? Etc etc
You decide!
