I’ve never been out of the states before, and possibly thinking about bringing a friend. I know nothing about the Virgin Islands, but I know I want to go to a nice beach for a week. I’m from north texas, and I plan to ball on a budget, I’m seeking simple pleasures mainly, but I’m open to anything. Sorry I can’t be as detailed.
Are there any customs or advice I should know about before I book anything? How to not waste my money on tourist traps/scams and get to the real culture and just chill on the beach, sightsee, and meet new people?

I’d like to know so that I can add a secondary eSim but not with a provider that Verizon already has a roaming agreement with. Just trying to increase my chances of having a connection during hurricane season this year. Verizon rep said they don’t have the roaming partner information.
I am having issues with my cell phone dropping signal in Saint Croix U.S. Virgin Islands. I will have full signal while standing outside and then will lose reception suddenly for no apparent reason. Sometimes the signal will return on its own, and sometimes I have to power the phone off and back on. It will eventually regain signal but often will not have data such as LTE or 3G. Why could this be happening? Is this common?
Shows I have 3G service on AT&T with full signal strength but no data will flow. I’ve been in contact with customer service and they’re working on it but still no resolution yet.
