SS Great Eastern. Unlike other ships I've built, this one has no deck plans available and, maybe, four total photographs of the interior were ever taken. I don't feel the need to be historically accurate with it. What shall I do? Party ship with a concert stage? Something else? Ideas welcome!

Progress update on the SS Great Eastern: frame and propeller are done, Iβm now starting on the plating which I decided to roughly recreate from plans. Her plating is around 1/8th done now as I have to factor in the second layer. Wish me luck!

RMS Oceanic. The largest ship in the world by length when she was launched in 1899 (the displacement record was still held by SS Great Eastern) until being surpassed in 1901. As with all White Star liners she had the 'ic' end to her name. 704ft in length, 17,000 tons & 17 knots. [4464x3372]

RMS Celtic, the first of White Star's 'big four', launched in 1901. She was the first liner to exceed SS Great Eastern in gross tonnage. Converted to a troopship during the War, she survived both hitting a mine and being hit by a torpedo. She ran aground off Cobh in 1928 & was scrapped. [1500x1180]
