A list of puns related to "SLA Industries"
Government agents investigating the unnatural! Corporate Operatives fighting monsters in the sewers! Spacemen on a derelict spaceship/space station! Adventurers crawling through some weird dungeon!
Iโm planning on running a series of one-shots to test out some systems and modules and to find cool people for when I decide to run a longer campaign.
Time will be sometime around 4pm GMT (I can do earlier than that but not much later). Day will likely be a Friday, possibly Sunday or a weekday. Potentially this Friday, the 10th, if I find enough suitable players.
I'm planning to run a series of one-shot adventures using the systems below, they're quite different mechanically but not that different in terms of the overall theme:
Mothership: That scifi-horror nu-SR that got a lot of money recently: Some sort of one shot module, but not sure which yet, possibly Dead Planet. General theme is youโre a group of spacemen investigating some creepy location.
Delta Green: Call of Cthulhu but youโre all some type of government spook or spook adjacent. I have a few modules I want to run. Note that you must procure your own navy blue jacket, light blue shirt, and cargo pants.
SLA Industries 2e. Edgy 90โs Cyberpunk/Splatterpunk; Youโre a troubleshooter working for a megacorp and your missions are broadcast live on the teevee. Weโll run the quickstart module, which is a rather simple sewer adventure. I mostly want to get a feel for the rules to see if I should use it over that savageworlds conversion.
Old DnD: Specifically Lamentations Of The Flame Princess. I want to run a module, still deciding between a few options. It may or may not be a particularly edgy module but itโll probably require you to start with multiple characters.
I want to run at least one adventure using each system but depending on how things go in terms of finding people and running the game I might run more than one adventure.
(Given the people I've found elsewhere the current favorite is Delta Green but I do want to run the other three systems in the following months)
PM me and I'll send you some followup questions.
Hi!
If you possess and are willing to sell any SLA Industries 2e Kickstarter rewards (book, dice e.t.c) or old 1e sourcebooks (such as Mort e.t.c.), please drop a line, I'll be happy to buy it, thanks!
This is a one-shot campaign using a fanmade module made for SLA Industries, which is an edgy cyberpunk-splatterpunk hybrid from the 90โs; think Judge Dredd and the Hive Cities from Warhammer but with more slashers.
It has been 904 years since SLA Industries asserted dominance over the known universe. When the company needs a problem solved they send SLA Operatives, highly trained men, women, aliens and genetically engineered monsters clad in power armor and wielding the finest weapons money can buy. You are not an Operative; instead youโre working for the lowest bidder: Bancroft Investigations. Instead of fighting sewer mutants and hunting down terrorists youโve been dealing with dishonest spouses, missing persons cases dropped by the corporate police and serving the occasional subpoena. Todayโs case is more high profile than what youโre used to, a college professor has gone missing in the depths of Downtown while investigating local lore and the company is putting together a team of investigators to go find her.
Weโll be using Call of Cthulhu 7e rules since I donโt like the official SLA systems, CoC is lighter and more popular and this module is more about analyzing clues rather than something that would require a lot of dicerolls.
It will take place on Saturday July 3rd at 4PM GMT (+0) and last 4+ hours, if it takes too long there will be an extra session. Time and date are somewhat flexible, if youโre interested but arenโt available you can contact me and I'll see if it's possible to adjust the time and/or date
I am not set on using voice or text only and can go either way depending on the players I choose. We are using discord for ooc chat/voice
Pregen characters will be made available, each has a suggested background but you don't have to abide by it. ' I'm using this to playtest the module for my regular group so I'd prefer you have some experience with CoC and/or investigative style adventures. I currently have 2 players and my aim is to have 3 or 4.
PM me if you're interested and feel free to ask questions
Hi! Just putting the question out there. Anyone working on the game system for SLA Industries 2nd edition (or 1st for that matter)? Would simply love to see that in Foundry and if I had the skills I'd do it myself but alas, I'm a gamer, not a programer.
So the introductory session went well and the players enjoyed the setting immensely. One of them was very intrigued by the concept of the old chrome warrior line, and wants to have his character get cybernetic implants. Are there any resources for cybernetics in SLA Industries? I know that they are long out of fashion, but surely there are a few back ally doctors who would be willing to implant some.
If they need to be home-brewed, would modelling them off of Nuke Tendon implants be a simple way of modelling them, just increasing the prices for the enhancement to Strength and Dexterity stats and maximums? Also the player has a character concept of warrior with four cybernetic arms, and I was wondering how best to model the use of an additional limb.
...because both are cool.
Text blocks incoming. I'm posting this because i'd like to work this up as a setting. I love 40k, I love some of the wierd stuff in SLA (always had a soft spot for it). Even a little bit of Shadowrun, and some Mutant Chronicles (I envisage this set in the solar system not the greater galaxy. So imagine a world that's a baroque corporate state. IE: a corporation (the Guild in this case) instead of the Imperium. And a little bit less war.
Feedback is appreciated. I'm sure some or none of this will make sense :D

Before the Guildโs existence, the Solworlds (the solar system) were controlled by the Imperium. That time has gone leaving only relics and secrets. While the Lord Protector still holds the Dragon Adamant Throne, his position is ceremonial. The real power lies in the Highspires of Haloheim; the exclusive Guild enclave at the heart of Terragard City (Coruscant + Holy Terra +Mega City 1).
This is the greatest city in human experience. A vast choking morass of industrial overload. Everyone and everything has a price, all overseen - likely provided - by the merchant masters of the Guild.
The Guild
The merchant lords that survived the civil war that destroyed the Imperium gained power following a deal with the entity known as Midnight. The entity created by the Arcadian Rite of Samhain. They would receive the power they craved, using it to create the Guild. But after a thousand years Midnight would come to claim their souls. That time is now.
Throughout its history the governing Syndicate, who know the truth, believed that, when the time came, they would have the means to destroy Midnight. To that end they created the Watchtower faction. Itโs purpose: to protect against Midnight and related supernatural threats.
The Watchtower, using the stolen knowledge contained within the Deck of Souls, would find a way to destroy Midnight. However the Watchtower has grown apart from the Guild, following claims of heresy and betrayal.
The Guild now stands on a precipice while the forces of Midnight gather, manifesting now through the appearance of the Witchsigns.
Arcadians
An ancient people that existed throughout the Solworlds. They traded with vast and ancient entities and were possessed of magical powers known as Glamours. They lived as clans aboard their Vardofleets that sailed the stars.
The Rite of Samhain was conducted thousands of years ago. The elder Arcadians sensed that Glamour power, growing unrestra

If y'all enjoy this/find it helpful, let me know and I'll post some more of the stuff I've developed over the years. Crosspost from r/SLAIndustries 'cause that place is tiny.
Disclaimers: I hated the Naga7 and moral authority stuff; don't play with any of it. If that's your jam, it isn't in here. All BPN/cred rewards obviously flexible; I play with hugely increased credit and SCL gain so it doesn't take squads years of play to get to fun stuff.
Anyways. Link to the goodies:

Hello all,
Iโm still looking for the things mentioned in the title.
I have the first edition SLA core book but am interested in anything else.
I have a few Laundry Files books (core rules, Black Bag Jobs and God Game) but would be interested in anything else.
Send me a message if you want to sell me any of these things and are happy to ship to the west coast of the US.
Cheers!

Is this game still worth playing? Are there more modern editions out there or in the works? A friend told me I would like this game but it looks so old
It may come a bit close to Cyberpunk/Shadowrun in genre and get lost in the mix but I think it has enough originality to stand on it's own.

Edit โ- Iโm looking for any SLA materials not just the core rules.
Thanks!

It shares a lot of similarities with Judge Dredd but with less LAW and more horror, corporate shenanigans/shilling and showbiz (and it's going to share even more similarities as I'm going rip off borrow ideas from 2000AD far more blatantly than the original authors). This will be a text based game and we'll use a mix of Roll20 and Discord for dicerolls and chat
Ideal time would be Sundays or Mondays at 5PM (GMT+1). Saturday or Friday is possible but not ideal.
Looking to start as soon as possible, I've already found a few players elsewhere but I'd like a party of at least four.
We'll be using the Savage Worlds Deluxe Edition and some new rules from Adventure Edition. The Savage Worlds conversion for SLA Industries can be found at http://www.voidstate.com/rpg/
Tolerance for Mature themes and Immature/Edgy Humor is required.
PM me if you're interested and feel free to ask questions
WE'RE FULL (how do I mark it as such anyway?)
