Spotted this unusually large mushroom while hiking in Slieve bloom mountains, Ireland. It looks like one of those mushrooms in our childhood storybooks. I think this is a Russula emetica mushroom because of its red cap and white stem. I read that it is toxic. Thoughts?

Project ID old Photos presents someone's snack (slug perhaps?) Seen 8/8/2017 in a central MD Patuxent forest. I think this may be a Russula, maybe emetica? The gills are barely visible, but in the first pic you can just see them under the big guy on the left (zoom). Please correct if not! Thx!

Found in Vancouver, WA (pnw, USA) growing in a grass lawn. Wine red cap. Pure white stipe and gills. Stipe brittle. No bruising. Is this Russula xerampelina? Or emetica?

I found these two under a tree on the sidewalk of the road in South Carolina. Took it back did a spore print last night, cream to white color. I believe it is a Russula emetica, is this correct? (Still new to identifying species)

I believe this is The Sickener (Russula emetica), but what's cool is the mushroom shaped shadow cast on it. Shroomception.
