A list of puns related to "Rowing cycle"
I know you can't swing a dumbbell on this sub without hitting a 531 review but I find within every post no matter how many times the program has been reviewed I take something away from it.
Intro
After my second Son was born in May of 2019 (plus Covid-19 soon thereafter) I kind of fell off the wagon (up until that point I was doing Judo 2-3X times a week plus some form of resistance training/conditioning). Fast forward to October 2020 and I was out of shape.
My primary goal was to drop some lbs, get stronger, and better conditioned. My secondary Goal was to hit the 1/2/3/4 milestone (I have come close before but always fell just a bit short) All things considered, I decided to go back to old reliable, 531.

Background
I have been doing some form of marital arts for the last 20 years or so. A majority of that time has focused on Okinawan karate and Japanese jujutsu; which involved a lot of body weight exercises and conditioning. For the past 3 years Judo has been my focus.
It is only since around 2014 that I have started to become more engaged in weight lifting. I like to try new things so my focus does change a bit from year to year. I have run some popular programs in the past such as nSUNs, GZCL, and 531 (not including more Muscle Mag Bro-splits than I would like to admit).
Programming
For anyone who doesn't know 531 is well-known program with several hundreds of iterations and variations. The common thread I see is a utilizing a training Max (typically 80-90% of your 1RM) and the 5/3/1 rep scheme.
In the past, I have always run older versions of 531, i.e., 4 week deload cycles. This time around I bought a copy of Beyond 531 and decided to run the 7 week block. For assistance work I ran BBB (@50% of TM) for cycles 1-6 and FSL along with Jokers during cycles 7-10.
I decided that on my non-lifting days I would do some form of cardio. I dusted off the treadmill a
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi. I was wondering how well cycling transfers to rowing. How long do I need to bike for to simulate a long steady state session on the erg (15k+)? When biking should I also keep my heart rate at around 155?
Paging /u/richie_engineer, among others. I've been getting into cycling lately, which has me rethinking some rowing first principles. Namely: why don't we prescribe drag factor based on workout intensity and individual rower fitness? If I'm cycling at race pace on a flat course, I'm using a much heavier gear than when I'm tapping along a recovery spin, but my cadence is relatively similar. By the same token, as I'm getting fitter on the bike, I'm increasing my gearing while cadence stays roughly the same. On the erg, by contrast, we're generally coached to set drag first and foremost by body weight, with only modest variation by rower fitness or workout intensity (and even then, typically only in the name of back health rather than power optimization). Why shouldn't erging be more similar to cycling in this regard, i.e. more customization of drag by both workout type and rower fitness? Seems like the options are:
It IS similar, and "we're generally coached to..." is a straw man, i.e. good coaches already do this.
The water only has one "gear," boat class held constant, so we don't want to become over-reliant on gear-fiddling on the erg.
There's some fundamental difference between the physics of erging and cycling that I'm not appreciating.
I'm cycling wrong.
Put more succinctly, it would be crazy not to alter your gearing while cycling as you (i) get fitter and/or (ii) attempt to put down more power--but aside from body weight defaults and back health considerations, we seem to set it and forget it when choosing optimal drag on the erg. Why?
It's finally over... I never thought I would post a cycle recap.
I've applied for law schools for 4 consecutive years. Re-took LSAT 5 times. LSAC bled me dry, I'm glad I never have to pay them again. $ would have been more if I didn't get fee waivers for 2 years lol. I consider my self a hero for sticking through. Let's finally get this CYCLE RECAP ROLLING since I withdrew from all my WL. I'm very happy with this year's cycle, esp since it was a hard one. Imo, I am very lucky to not have gotten any rejections (can't reject me if I withdraw from WL first hehe).
GPA: 3.4 | LSAT 16XLOW | n-urm | n-kjd (out for 6 years) | what softs lol | tier 110+ state school for undergrad who cares | Also I've used the same recommendation letter for 4 years straight HAHA | also forgot to add: I HAVE 7 WITHDRAWLS ON MY TRANSCRIPT SO DON'T LET ANYBODY SAY W'S ARE A DEAL BREAKER

(title should say FAVE brands...)
Hey pals,
After losing my favourite (and only) airhead visor to a slight gust yesterday, I realised I should really upgrade my rowing gear particularly as we're coming into summer. Rowing in clubmaster raybans probably isn't the best idea...
So wondering what your favourite brands are for rowing clothing (if any ladies have recommendations for cycling shorts which don't ride or roll up that would be fab!), sunglasses, visors, and anything else you love.
This past cycle was my 2nd app cycle. I rewrote pretty much everything, had a better school list (although maybe it should have been broader), and submitted my secondaries much earlier, even 1-day turnarounds for super-long essays.
In both my 1st and 2nd cycles, I got the II from the same MD school (and only that school) in December, interviewed in Feb., and WLed in March. Idk what to make of it, because it's a great school (T-20) but I get 0 IIs from anywhere else.
Any advice on reaching out to/other steps involving the school? I'm not asking for pity, but clearly there's some mutual interest if I've been WLed 2x in a row. I'm a CA applicant and it's a CA school, for what it's worth.
Also, any advice on reapplying? I'm tired of applying and I want to give myself a break. If I apply next year, I have time to buff up my app, but then I need to retake the MCAT.
Or, I could throw some stuff together and yeet my app now, but I'm not that confident in my app because of the mixed signals (II from a T-20, radio silence everywhere else)
The last couple weeks Iβve been trying to incorporate rowing as cross training for cycling because an athlete I follow (who was an Olympic rower) stepped onto the bike and instantly had a monster FTP. So far Iβve been doing 5kβs on the erg and some weights specific to cycling. Would you recommend this distance or further/shorter to maximize gains? My current 5k time is 17:44. I really donβt know much about rowing, thank you for any advice you may have.

I had a look at the subreddit and Im glad I see people who used to shill this shit like /u/Redditor45643335 call it out for what it is. He likely made much better money like most did when investing in non-soft exit scams this cycle.
The hilarity on the other side is people like /u/RipperfromYT STILL defending the project after its missed every single deadline, was dumped for a fraction of the price to some no name Chinese company, and has absolutely no plans or roadmap for development. What a fucking dumbass! LOL
It appears OKcoin missed another cycle back to back but hasnβt announced it. When you click the Earn tab and click the Action button it says BTC interest will start to accumulate by April 11th. Thatβs the next cycle. This is really poorly done on OKcoinβs part. Hopefully a lot of better options start cropping up because theyβve lost my trust that they can execute faithfully.
EDIT: the issue has been corrected and onchain status now reads βearningβ and I can confirm that BTC has been deposited. I apologize for causing any undue anxiety to anyone in the group, but I do think there was an issue and we all helped to have it recognized and fixed.
Im 45 and have had N w/C and in disability since 23 (if anyone is thinking of applying, you can DM me. I have special paperwork to help). I can't tolerate any meds.
Few questions does anybody else have: . 1)
N symptoms like hypnogogic phenomena, sleep paralysis, unavoidable sleep (one minute you are awake, the next you are waking in an awkward position or from a mug of hot tea spilling in your lap or dropping your phone over and over), etc that comes in wave..like just EDS and for a few weeks or months and then suddenly for a few weeks or months you have a ton of paralysis or another symptom? This happens to me. Does it happen to you?
Also, as I got older (45 now, Dx 23) my sleep became attenuated. I used to sleep 4 hrs, wake. Get a bath, go back to sleep for 4 hrs, wake, take some naps.
Then it was sleep 4 hrs, bath sleep 3... Sleep 3 hrs bath sleep 2, etc until. i could only sleep in bursts of 45 min to 90 min at a time (about half to one sleep cycle). Doxepin/ Silanor and Clonadine recently seems to be helping me get up to 3, but I go to bed a 1 am, get up atv2 pm, and am lucky to get 6-7 hrs of sleep
Narcolepsy Is not supposed to be progressive, but I guess maybe it can only progress to a certain point, and the all the 2000 cells that" produce hypocretin/orexin die off.
My N was stable for many years and then it started getting worse (falling asleep eating) Insomnia, sleep attenuation Γ¨
Anyone else gain weight without a change in diet or exercise? Especially in your 40's?
We stop producing as much brown fat in general as we age. Turns out Orexin plays a big part for everyone in keeping it. This could be good news. There isn't enough money in cures orphan disease like N...but if taking orexjn build brown far and reduces obesity? There is Big Moneybjn Obesity drug and PWN would benefit!

I'm having trouble being productive. Somedays I'll get up and start being productive right away. I'll clean my room, workout, study and cook. But then can't continue this for more than 1 or 2 days. Then I'll slack for a day and be at my minimal and the cycle repeats.
I can be very disciplined and usually only take a day off after 4-5 days of super hard work but right i just can't seem to stick to my schedule. I set up a timetable, goal chart, put all the books that i need to finish in the coming days infront of me(to build that pressure) but it just seems to fade away after a day or 2 and then i spend an entire day literally doing nothing and somehow time just flies by!
The current rising corona cases (and the infinite number of calls from my worried family since i live in another city), the new lockdown, and my pessimistic and depressed flatmate isn't helping obviously but it's not the time to make excuses. I have goals to achieve and things to do in my life, and pandemic or not i have to do what i have to do.
I need help!
30F. 5 foot 4 inches, ~220 lbs but it fluctuates. Not on birth control because my husband and I are currently trying to conceive after suffering a stillbirth at 30 weeks in April 2020. I take a generic prenatal and a baby aspirin daily. I haven't in over a month, but I did use psilocybin recreationally earlier this year at a rate of about every two to three weeks (which you might glean from my other reddit posts - this is an alt because I'm a little embarrassed to post this on my main account.)
Background: We've been TTC since last July. The child we lost in April was our first together, and was a surprise after about 9 cumulative years of not preventing, not trying for a baby - I was told in 2014 that I had PCOS after recurrent cysts on my ovaries. I have not had a cyst (or anything that felt like a cyst, rather) since probably 2017? It's been a few years, in any case, and my cycles have been very regular since 2019. I was never medicated for the PCOS because we weren't trying for a baby at the time of diagnosis (exactly what my gyno said.) When our son was stillborn, it was a combination of preeclampsia, COVID effecting my blood clotting abilities, and a placental abruption. After healing from that, I asked the doctors I had if I should have any concerns conceiving again, and they did not think so, however they didn't do any bloodwork or anything but a pelvic exam. So, we started trying in July. I track my menses and I use ovulation predictors, which so far have told me that I usually ovulate around CD18-20 as opposed to CD14 which is average for a 28 day cycle. My average cycle in this time period has been anywhere from 29-30 days. Since the beginning of April, I have also tracked my basal body temperature which honestly? Has been all over the place.
Main complaint: I've been having spotting between periods for four months now. May has been the worst so far. February I spotted from CD14-28 on a 31 day cycle. March I only spotted 3 days out of the entire month, none of them consecutive, and had a 26 day cycle. April I spotted 9 days intermittently, but the worst was 4 days after I ovulated on CD16 as indicated by OPK and an appropriate temperature dip - that was a 30 day cycle. May I have been spotting every single day from CD10 and it is now CD21 with no ovulation detected (although my OPK strips are getting darker) and my temperatures are erratic despite my taking my temperature at the same time every day. On CD18 I passed blood clots, was activel
... keep reading on reddit β‘Your in game hotbar consists of a row of nine spaces. In your inventory screen you have an additional three rows of nine spaces.
I suggest being able to toggle between every row in your inventory with a button. So that each row of items take up the hotbar space. This would make building a lot easier, and a lot less finnicky. As it is tody you constantly have to move tools and items around so you can use them.
Iv just finished my month of tb500 and bpc 157 orally and did not feel like it helped my injury very much so wanted to start injections Asap and was wondering if it would be okay to continue right into a second consecutive month/cycle or if there is a reason i have to take a break before starting another cycle.
Update- started my first subq today, bpc was easy, but the tb500 i have questions about,. First of all if i do the 5mg(whole vile ) how do i inject that much sub q at once? I did 1ml at once and even then i got a good sized swollen spot where the fluid had collected and hurt a bit . Should i be doing something different?
I'm new to Strava and this sub, and I'm using Apple Fitness+ and Apple Watch for workouts on my Lemond RevMaster Pro indoor cycling bike and WaterRower rowing machine. Both have monitors that display mileage but do not broadcast it to other devices so I add the mileage to the record of the workout in the Health App. But these entries aren't connected to the actual AF+ workouts I did and there's no way to manually add that data to the workout record in AF+ app.
So I started using Strava to monitor my workouts, using the automatic import feature that works great except that it displays "MILES 0" with no way to edit the mileage, on the mobile app or my Strava account on the web. It appears my only option would be to add all my workouts manually in Strava which kind of defeats the purpose.
I can stick with using Apple Health in combination with the Fitness App but that means the info is in two places. I was hoping to use Strava for this since I thought I could combine both the miles and which workout I did with my notes about the workout (difficulty, liked or disliked, etc) in one place and have the plus of Strava's great display and reports and trends, etc.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
