A list of puns related to "Rose Bruford College"
Hey, I'm thinking of going to Rose Bruford as a (slightly-I'm 22) mature student to study lighting design. Has anybody been there and call tell me at all about life there or how the course is?
In his own words: 'That still enthousiastic young drummer from Yes, King Crimson and earthworks, now hapilly retired in the beautiful English countryside, is busy currating his legacy. Showing videos from the highlights of his career, some hidden gems you havent seen before.'
It seems the man is doing it by himself and tells us, in the introduction video, he will upload it by himself, accompanied by some handwritten descriptions/anecdotes.
Check it out, there are some video's on there already in which he explains some stuff he does:

They are coming to my country with auditions and I was wondering what is the overrall opinion on that school?
What an amazing drummer and what a ridiculously enjoyable drumming performance. While the first half is quite orthodox - understated and bare, the second half is something from another planet.

My personal highlights:
6:47 - The sparse groove that comes in here. Kind of jagged and unorthodox beat. Quite a contrast from what came before.
7:55 - Triplet fill with china cymbal (?) leading into next section. The build up to here is the most intense part of the whole song, and right at the climax Bruford gives us...a snare on beat 1?! He is messing with us, the crash comes on the next beat. I can't get enough of this fill and entrance, it's ridiculous.
8:11 - A fill where you don't expect one to be (starts in the middle of the bar). There's just something about the contrast of the 16 notes against the triplet feel.
Honorable mention to all the crazy (non-drum kit) percussion that goes on in this piece.
Between 20:31 and 21:08 in the following link, he is talking about progressive bands: https://youtu.be/CuTMvpl1D_Q?t=1231
Talking about prog bands (of the 70s), he says they were hopeless musicians, naive, green etc.
Am I the only one baffled by this? There were fantastic musicians in prog bands.

Hi, I'm a big fan of both Yes, Genesis and King Crimson and the fact that 1969-1976 Bruford were active in all of them is very interesting to me.
Recently I bought the Highlights from Seventy-Two live album by Yes. Really good recording and I recommend it. It's from the fall of 1972 and features Alan White on his first tour with the band.
I love Close to the Edge and it would be awesome to hear a complete show from Brufords last tour with the band (up to this point, not refering to the 90s)
I'm aware of low quality bootlegs, is there something that more leaning to the quality of an official release?
