A list of puns related to "Regression (film)"
My train of thought used to be this: The price of a house (at least in the US) is the maximum amount a family can expect to afford over the next 30 years. Wages have stagnated, so the price of a home cannot continue to rise. Therefore, the market is already at carrying capacity and the current price inflation--in the middle of a global pandemic, nonetheless--must be a bubble.
Yesterday I realized I'm completely wrong and we're in the middle of a paradigm shift. The new value of a home is calculated on the maximum annual rent extraction. The investment banks and the uber wealthy--bolstered by years of QE and pandemic hand outs--are using that wealth to buy the country and rent it back to us. After all, why should plebs build equity when a corporation can build that equity instead? And your monthly payment is the same, still "affordable" (i.e. half your income), it's now just a rent payment instead of a mortgage.
It's the same everything as a service models proliferating through our economy. Jobs as a service (e.g. the proliferation of "contractors"), entertainment as a service (e.g. Netflix), and now property as a service. We're in the middle of a regression to corporate serfdom.
In 2030 โYouโll own nothingโ โ And โyouโll be happy about it.โ

Just a warning, this is going to be a long read. I'm going to try to give a lot of details so those who are considering going to a hypnotherapist and having a past life regression will have a good idea of what the experience is like. Also, my girlfriend had sessions with the same hypnotherapist so I'm going to touch on her experiences as well. Hers are crazier than mine.
Ok, so to start out the hypnotherapist I saw is certified from the Newton Institute and also has a masters in psychology. I had never been interested in a past life regression because I imagined it would be someone claiming to be psychic, holding their temples like "I can see you...ย you were a king..." or something along those lines. But then when my girlfriend had one and described it to me I knew I had to try it. I don't think I really have memories of past lives, but I kind of feel like when I was a kid I had memories of riding in train cars like a hobo, but it's all real blurry.
So, at the beginning of the appointment we sat and talked for about 30 minutes where she discussed the process and asked me questions about my childhood and stuff to make sure I didn't have any big trauma that would get in the way of me going back to the womb, and she also tries to see if there are any issues in particular that she should try to steer the session towards because the person experiencing the hypnosis can't always focus enough to remember what to ask spirit guides and whatnot, so for example if you suffer from severe phobias or anxiety or whatever she can try to direct you to a life that has caused them. That's how we ended up talking about my anxiety, isolation problems, and that I'm pretty sure I'm on the autistic spectrum. I'm not going to go too far into detail, but my problems are more than "I don't fit in" they have shaped my entire adulthood, no education, no career, no relationships until my only one at 34 years old. I have a very high IQ and people will ask me for help with a lot of things but then there are aspects of life where I feel like a confused child. Basically anything that helps you make a life in society is a struggle for me.
After talking the hypnotherapist turned the light off, turned on some meditation music and a white noise machine, and started a voice recorder. She started guiding me through some breath and body awareness stuff and then getting me to visualize an energy entering through my toes, then my whole feet, shins a

With all the various technical analysis people chiming in, I figured I would provide my thoughts from an engineering statistics view. Engineering stats is different from financial stats because we are more focused on the data as a whole and only concerned with outliers when there are a shit ton of outliers. This is an over generalization but Iโm giving a quick explanation on how this approach is different from the rest. I also only used log apeโs data since the EW, sideways trading, and gamma apes use a financial analysis technique that is too financial analysis-y and not pure mathemagically.
Iโm not bothered by how the last few data points were below the log equation and hereโs a few reasons why:
Outliers are common in multivariate regression.
For the sake of easier understanding, I am only going to address the normal bell curve distributions. There are two important statistical values to this type of distribution. The first is the average / mean represented by ฮผ. The other is the standard deviation represented by ฯ.
For a given data set that has a normal distribution, 68% of the data will fall within +/- 1 ฯ. 95% of the data will between +/- 2 ฯ. Finally 99.7% will fall within +/- 3 ฯ. This is called the 68 - 95 - 99.7 rule in stats.
I'm so pretty, I model.... statistical model.
So, if you know the distribution of a data set, youโll know what percentile a single data point will fall into in comparison to the rest of the data. Percentiles are great because they can also act as probabilities. Here is an ape level example to show how:
Letโs say we have a group of 100 crayons all with different lengths. For this particular group of crayons, the average length of a single crayon is 10 cm, and the standard deviation is 1 cm. That means 68% of the crayons are going to be 9 - 11 cm. 95% of the crayons will be 8 - 12 cm, and 99.7% of the crayons are going to be 7 to 13 cm. It would create this type of distribution:

Abhay Deol has said his 2013 film Raanjhanaa had a regressive message and somehow glorified sexual harassment. He shared a note by a viewer who slammed the film for its storyline that glorified one sided love.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Raanjhanaa revolved around Sonam Kapoorโs character Zoya, who falls for her college mate Jasjeet from Delhi (Abhay Deol), but was also pursued by a boy from a different religion Kundan (Dhanush), in her hometown of Varanasi. When Zoya rejected Kundanโs proposal for marriage and went ahead to marry the boy of her choice by lying about his religion, Kundan crashed her wedding party and informed her parents about her lie. This led to the cold-blooded murder of Sonamโs would-be groom and brought a painful end to their love story.
Sharing the note, Abhay wrote, โSuch clear and valid insight from @oldschoolrebel9 regarding the film Raanjhana. History will not look kindly at this film for its regressive message. Itโs been a theme in Bollywood for decades, where a boy can (and should), pursue a girl until she relents. Only in cinema does she do that willfully. In reality we have seen time and again that it leads to sexual violence of some sort. Glorifying it on screen only leads to blaming the victim, as @oldschoolrebel9 explains it so brilliantly. Please do take time out to read her observations in the pics above. #shedoesnotlikeyou #growup #gloryfyingsexualharrasment.โ
Personal life and matters aside I don't think Marv Albert gets ANY credit for actually doing a decent job at the age of 80, doing a very physically taxing job. He will have earned a good retirement after a great career
Honestly curious solely because I'm one of those nerds that updates their NHL21 to be as accurate as possible. I know some like Vlasic, Monahan etc. but was wondering who else took steps back this year. Cheers
Hey, everyone. I'veย been doing hypnosis since 2017, but I've been doing energy work and past life readings for over two decades.ย In that time, there's been a big shift in past life work. We're now able to delve even further into who we once were and who we are now. The big difference is in the questions being asked. Thanksย to people like Delores Cannon, Michael Newton, and Brian Weiss, we've been able to explore past lives as animals, plants, alien life forms, energies, and more.
And now, thanks to the hypnotists posting regressions on YouTube and practitioners able to work online with clients, regression work is available to everyone, regardless of finances or geography.ย I'll be here answering questions all weekend (in between clients). So hit me up!
Also, here's a link to my website. I live in Calgary, Alberta, but work with clients all over the world.
Great interview the guys did with driving coach and TA2 driver Michael Self on developing road course drivers. At the 19:45 mark David Smith asks him how the TA2 series helps drivers learn what is going to become a valuable Cup skill and he goes on to mention at 21:00 that he sees NASCAR having 10+ road courses in the near future. He then argues that TA2 is an affordable way for young drivers to learn that skill. As an aside both Bell and Burton will be running the TA2 race at Road America this weekend.
I assume at least 2 will be street courses. I'd love to see one of the Atlanta races got to Road Atlanta.
Thoughts?
I want to elaborate that I am referring to the effect it has on young children. In reference to it's "challenges" which have unfortunately lead to the death of some, and the promotion of unhealthy/unrealistic expectations, which we as a society are trying to eliminate.
It's main issue is is vast reach, speed and grasp upon young audiences, clearly not prepared, to be exposed to such content content, which is their target market.
It's the current captain of this regressive ship, which left long ago.
I am not referring to time wasting, because hell, the amount of time I spend on Reddit, I'd be a hypocrite aha
Edit- With technology becoming more and more accessible, it's clear to see, the age of which it is obtained has also drastically reduced. Which this platform, as a good business would, capitalises on. This however doesn't excuse the danger it poses. So I absolutely agree with this stance on technology and age determents.
Edit 2- I am not trying to sound like I'm in my old age, and kids these days need to play outside. I am young myself, and come from a very personal position which I have experience in the effects it has on children, some of which has triggered attempts on their own lives. Again, the platform itself cannot be blamed solely, it's up to people to moderate what their children can access. But you cannot truly stop children getting access to the internet, it's everywhere and anywhere.
Edit 3- Now while I must note, I and this commenter understands that Tik Tok is NOT the only problem, NOR is it the start of the problem and sole blame. There are COUNTLESS factors that surround and have lead to this, alongside countless methods of internet safety measures to counteract it's negative influence. I agree that proper education and monitoring of young childrens use of the internet being of highest importance.
But again, I must emphasise, there are undeniably many, MANY issues that even so far with 400+ comments, we've only scratched the surface. It is the present and the future, it can't be prevented nor should it. Although that does

This post is inspired by a recent post written by u/FreezYourMind, where he discuss the possible correlation with the steady rise of the floor which occur somewhere in each T+21 cycle. I recement to read his post if you have not already.
His point was that the floor keeps on rising at each T+21 cycle. As seen by a graph from the post.
I have made a linear regression plot, by using the lowest price for each T+21 days to map out the rising floor. I just want to point out that I see a pattern in the rise of the floor.
T+21 (x) | Date | Lowest price |
---|---|---|
1 | Dec. 14 | 12.14 |
2 | Jan. 8 | 17.08 |
3 | Feb. 19 | 38.5 |
4 | Feb. 26 | 86 |
5 | Apr. 13 | 132 |
6 | Mar. 11 | 136.5 |
7 | June. 21 | 197 |

Not a financial advice.
I donโt think people realize how ridiculous their shooting was to start this series, especially the role players.
From three:
Game 1 47%
Game 2 53%
Game 3 51%
And this Mavs team was 18th during the season with an average of 36%.
Simply put, the Mavs and the Clippers both regressed to their means. The Mavs came back down to the ground and the Clippers went to the sky.
The Clippers is obviously playing better team defense now, but also the Mavs are not playing like the best shooting team of all time anymore.
So I just want to share our experience from last week since I got so many help. Basically I thought my almost 3.5 mo baby was going through a 4 month regression but itโs really not.
It starts from a week ago. My baby suddenly got very fussy for all the naps and night sleep. Every time I dropped her in SNOO and strapped her in the sack, she got fussy or even cried. Then especially at night, she cried on and off for an hour until settling down. She used to have zero to one quiet wakings then it became 2 wakings at least with a burst out cry. At that time we were on a 1.25/1.5/1.5/1.5/1.75 schedule and day time is 9-9.
After almost convinced myself itโs the famous regression, I started to read all the posts about it and posted my question here and also in precious little sleep fb group. Then I was just very surprised to see many people pointed out it might just be a schedule issue. My baby is obviously under tired. A lovely lady told me itโs the โbaby sleeping too much regressionโ lol. I was not very convinced tbh because I thought she must be overtired with all the eyes rubbing and fussiness at sleep time. But I was willing to try everything. What I did was to extend all the ww to another 15 min, and extend the day from 12 hr to 13 hr. Simple as it is, itโs just worked like a miracle. Fusiness stopped right away and baby slept at night with no one hour complaint anymore and waking is back to 1 again. It just required one day effort.
Iโm just so thankful for all the help I got and want to share this for those who might also go through it Consider a schedule change, it might be the key
Compare how Ben just goes and stands in the dunker spot vs how the Warriors use Draymond Green. All of these plays have a traditional center or someone else in the post anyway on the court so the idea that Draymond "is the 5" doesnt matter. I think its Wiggins in the post. Look how Draymond uses his lack of off ball gravity to screen for Steph. (This is actually a bad screen and Brooks does a great job contesting it anyway). But just off this action alone this is how Ben can just "be the 4" and not muck up the spacing if say you sub Wiggins spot for Embiid. Ben for Draymond. Seth for his brother, or even Harris (or a Maxey or Lowry) etc. Thats why moving him away from being the primary initiator matters so much. Embiid has WAAAY more post gravity than Wiggins does and even at the 3 point line so you use different players in different spots. But theres also counters to this where if the help comes off the post Draymond cuts to the rim for a dunk (this helps if you have a player on the court besides Ben who can pass the ball). You also force them to lose the double vs Embiid. This is why I do blame a ton of Simmons regression on Doc Rivers. Theres no rule that says Simmons has to go and stand in the dunker spot and do nothing. Nor should it be a called play. It should be a free-flowing action. I'll add more examples later but this one is good for now. If Doc just ran this play this forces the Hawks to stop doubling Embiid in the post or risk a wide open 3 since Simmons man cant recover in time to Seth.

Iโm still new to learning all of this and I donโt know how Iโve ended up turning to reddit but thereโs surprisingly hardly research about this online and at least this is a community filled with people who have experienced it.
I have no idea if I have age regressed or not, all I know is that I have these days where I just want to watch Disney films or cartoons, lie with a stuffed animal and just kinda relax cuz it reminds me of when I was younger? Also Iโve recently really got into arts and crafts again which is not like me but it just seems fun and everyone calls me childish for it. If I could Iโd just love to just sit down and finger paint or make things with play dough. I donโt know if this is all just a โchildishโ mindset or not?? Because when Iโm in this state of mind, I donโt really think of what my age is, I just kinda... want to act like a child and do things they do? Not even purposely, itโs just like I get these urges to do stuff like suddenly arts or crafts or something like spongebob ๐
So uh, Iโm honestly not sure, as I donโt really feel like Iโm younger?? But I donโt feel my age either?? Itโs like I feel like I donโt have a age and age just isnโt something on my mind but I just want to do these things.
Also recently, whenever told โnoโ about something, Iโve suddenly wanted to start crying about it despite it being the littlest thing? Maybe thatโs just got to do with my mental health but I never used to be like this or used to care so... Iโm not sure?
Iโve never believed in past lives although people in my fam had vivid recollections of their own . Anyways I tried a couple of regressions in 2017 in which I saw these lives and it changed my perspective
in the first I was a plesiosaurus - marine mammal . Dinosaur . I used to eat fish . I had this little baby which was born just like dolphins are born . Keep this in mind , in this life I lost the little baby (idk how ?) but I know baby died .
I was an alien in this one . Although I was a very human type of alien , the daughter of the chief - and I died very very young in a galactic war (spaceship was shot down) . Someone on here, had recollections of the planet and we found out we had memories in common about the planet and city and the galactic war which was crazy
I saw myself as a woman in the 1880s , I died after childbirth from an infection . My baby girl died as well right after birth . After this life I saw myself running towards my baby soul in heaven and I remember thinking โI have another shot at another life โ and I told the baby โmaybe we can make it , this timeโ
my last life before my current one . I saw myself as a woman in love with someone in the navy . I was in Hawaii . My older sister in this life lost a baby which made me very sad. I was not the best person . I used to get angry very easily and I had an ego . Then I got pregnant and I had a child , she was the same baby girl I had previously lost in the other lives , guess what ? She died again ,when she was a bit older this time and I had lost my mind .
The baby soul became my spirit guide now , which I saw very clearly . but I do wonder why she continuously died and sometimes I wonder if this soul will ever come back . I know I messed something up , or maybe this soul just wasnโt ready and I hope I can figure it out ! (I do not have kids and I was never pregnant this time around , Iโm young , I thought it was very interesting how I got to remember this soul and find out sheโs a spirit guide now . I know these memories were not influenced by something I saw or experienced)
Linear Regression is a popular term here, but I find it very hard to understand how a linear model can be applied on a random walk time series ?
Here are a few basic approaches I see, in which I find all of them statistically wrong
Or you use it in other ways when the independent values are not only price/volume but many others (where then again you have a linear model which seems odd )
If yes, how much data would be sufficient?
EDIT: I tried implementing simple sklearn LR with 3 data points. It wasn't able to predict even on training data properly.
Did I probably do something wrong while implementing?
Also, why will the Bias become 1? Secondly, will the change in digits affect the accuracy?
What are properties of a human born any where on the planet ?
And take every decision and action which aligns in accordance to the above 3 steps.
But as you can see in india, every action is taken in accordance to how much money a person can make, just like in any other 3rd world country.
People have become greedy, and don't think how to make society better. If we can't make society better then how can we make environements of our own homes better ?
And if we can't make our own homes mindset better then how will we as a whole country make india to achieve perform at its original potential ?
Even after all these negativity why should indians live in india ?
This is not financial advice. I am merely a fucking autistic number crunching, experiment running engineer. I decided to do some finagling with some real world data since I was able to get to a computer that has excel. The following is fairly "basic" and none of it required a fancy software. I'll do something with that later.
This is another view point at looking at low share price data that extends from a previous post I did. I wanted to add a mathematical backing to determining lowest share price versus have to do a guess and check. Below is how I came to the equation that was able to predict the lowest share price and how things are going as planned even if the share dips (PTSDdog.jpg) below the regression line.
Linear regression is a type of trend analysis where a linear relation approach is used to model a relationship between a independent and dependent variable. An independent variable is the entity that is not influenced by a different variable. A dependent variable is one whose value is influenced by an independent variable.
When only a single independent variable is used to analyze the behavior of a dependent variable, itโs called simple. When there are more than one independent variables in the model that has been created, it is called multivariate (multiple โ variable).
Simple linear regression lines have the following format:
y = mx + b
Here, y is represented by our dependent variable. The rate of change (m) is the ratio of how much the dependent variable changes relative to the independent variable. The variable, b, is the y-intercept.
Time for โa perfect worldโ ape example:
Letโs say we have been tracking the number of apes that have joined the r/superstonk community since it first began. For the moment, we live in a perfect world. The number of apes (our dependent variable) has increased by 1,000 with each passing day (our independent variable). Therefore, the rate of change aka slope (m) would be 1000 apes / 1 day.
So, letโs find our b which is our y -intercept. This can be found by figuring out what y is when x = 0. Sometimes, this is found in a nice data date or looking at a graph. For our particular ape example, we have collected the following data:
