Jim Crow laws were state and local laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States. These laws were enacted in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by white Southern Democrat-dominated state legislatures to disenfranchise and remove political and economic gains made by blacks

during the racial segregation in the United states, what happened with the "non-black" & "non-white" citizens? how were they treated? Were they classified as "colored"?

like people from Asia, Middle East, and South America who were living in the United States during the time of segregation. what about mixed "race" people? i ask this because i have only have heard and learn stuff during this time about "black" and "white" people but im sure that there were other "races" in the United States.

Segregation is alive and well in the United States

I grew up in a town that, according to Wikipedia, is 98.13% white. When I graduated high school in 2015, my class of 127 students had a whopping three students of color. My neighbors sold their house a few years ago and my parents were prepared to sell their house if a black or hispanic family moved in. The city where I live is the exact opposite. Most of our β€œunderprivileged” areas are 98% black or hispanic. A good friend of mine teaches math intervention at a public school in one of these areas and none of her students are white.

Now your first thought may be β€œOh you must live in the South; this must just be a regional thing.” Nope; I live in fucking Rhode Island, a state that votes blue in every single election. If it’s this bad in a blue state, I can’t even imagine what the red states are like. It pisses me off because all of my hometown friends are supporting BLM on Facebook while totally denying that they live in segregation.

I don’t know; I really want to post on my social media but I just started a new job. All of my coworkers are Trump loving β€œAll Lives Matter” types and I will be let go after my probation if I do anything super public. Of course, β€œIf they fire you for doing the right thing, then you don’t want to work there” is true, but I really need this money and I don’t think I could get a new job anytime soon.

Britons who have any positive opinion of the United States (occupied British racial territory) trigger intense anger, hatred and disgust in me, and such emotional patters should be fully present in all relevant Britons

Who the Hell do they think they are?! Britons who should know better, who are guilty of this, deserve hostility, with harsh and contemptuous treatment! I see them as vermin! They should be shunned and severely disliked by the rest of the British demographic. I feel an urge to punch them hard, and others should feel this too!

The United States was founded through mass violence against Britons! Mass violence that was nowhere even close to being morally justified! Territory was stolen! The country has values and enshrined principles that render it a destroyer of ALL distinct racial types! Reconciliation is impossible! British racial demographic warfare must be waged against it!

The United States is an enemy of the British race! Embracing one will make you an enemy of the other!

The United States is an irreformably very faulty, tacky, ridiculous and extremely malignant civilisational construct with many very deeply ingrained destructive, subversion-enabling, weakness-inflicting and life-endangering qualities, with its system's nature not allowing for safeguards against social and cultural degradation. It is one of the most heinous, debased and destructive civilisations to ever exist. It is a land with very hideous levels of ignorance, idiocy, decadence and mental slavery! The nation is an extremely bad joke, as well as utterly rancid and rotten, much like a decomposing corpse! If Satan exists, the United States is one of his main instruments.

The United States is a very deadly cancerous tumour on the world, posing a monstrous and constant threat to humanity's condition and well-being! It is a VERY sick joke! EVERYONE should find its existence very highly offensive and revolting!

[Academic] Seeking Survey Participants, Chance to win a $25 gift card!, Study: Surveillance of COVID-19 Related Xenophobia among Healthcare Communities in the United States: Driving Factors and Magnitude of Prejudice, Discrimination, and Racial Tension [18+]

Hello! I am a graduate student at the University of Arizona College Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, and I am working on a study that seeks to investigate the driving factors and magnitude of prejudice, discrimination, and racial tension experienced by students (nursing, medical, pharmacy, dental, and public health), healthcare workers, and other healthcare professionals during COVID-19.

Please fill out the survey hereΒ so we can better understand the dynamics involved and create targeted interventions to reduce discrimination and inequitable systems. Your survey responses are anonymous and confidential. This survey does not ask for your name or any other identifying information, unless you would like to be entered to win aΒ $25 Amazon gift cardΒ - for this we will only ask for your email address. Thank you so much!

Study: Surveillance of COVID-19 Related Xenophobia among Healthcare Communities in the United States: Driving Factors and Magnitude of Prejudice, Discrimination, and Racial Tension conducted by the University of Arizona College Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health and approved by the the University of Arizona Institutional Review Board.

Description. The dangerous confluence of COVID-19, the healthcare system’s lack of preparedness, and volatile political environment has put the United States’ healthcare communities at an increased risk for adverse outcomes (e.g. discrimination and racism via microaggressions, hate crimes; or even death). Minority healthcare workers and students are especially at risk due to the persistent misinformation, fear induced racism, and high hospital caseloads coupled with lack of personal protective equipment. In this study, we are investigating 1) period prevalence of microaggressions and violent hate crimes that have been perpetrated against HCWSs; 2) which specific subpopulations are being affected; and 3) what are the driving factors of these attitudes and actions.
