Today I learned that a 2013 study reclassified Pygmy Right Whales as a member of the cetotheres, a previously thought extinct group of baleen whales that were prey to the megalodon, among others. This effectively brings the family β€˜back from the dead.’ youtu.be/NuB3uSCw6-0

Pygmy sperm whale open ocean animal idea(scrapped)

yes its ass I know which is why i've Scrapped it from the open ocean

Pygmy sperm whale

Technical

  • a tier ten animal
  • has a slightly long diving time 20 seconds longer than a octopuses
  • when injured with less than 1/3 of its health will cause it to move in quick bursts for over 2 seconds

The pygmy sperm whale appears in the open ocean as a tier 10 animal. this whale has a very unique ability that helps it from being a late night snack.

Above your water bar will be an ink bar (similar to that of the bluefish concept)

ink bar

When you first spawn in this bar will be empty meaning that you will have to fill it up. how do you fill it up? With squids!

By eating squids you borrow some of their ink. the more squids you consume the more your ink bar will fill up. it will take anywhere from 15 to 20 squids to fill it up.

squid genocide

Once filled the player will be able to use it by pressing the w key the whale would gain a 15% speed burst while leaving a reddish brown liquid behind it any predators that get caught in this will receive a -20 movement speed and lose a slither of health every two seconds they stay in it the poo itself will last for over 20 seconds.

ability concept

TIL Dwarf sperm whales and pygmy sperm whales are unique among cetaceans in using a form of "ink" to evade predation in a manner similar to squid. Both species have a sac in their intestinal tract that contains up to 12 l of reddish-brown fluid, which can be ejected to confuse predators. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwa…
