Great show. Apc Judith played in episode one and it closes with Judith. At least 3 more tracks used in season one all at incredible moments. I geezer out and wanted to share. To those who have watched it what are your thoughts?
About a year ago, my girlfriend, still relatively new to the Tooliverse, asked me how to sonically distinguish between Tool, APC and Puscifer.
I said:
If it features beautiful female singing, sounds at all electronic and/or country and/or funny, itβs probably Puscifer.
If it is heavy, short songs with a beat you can clap to, itβs probably APC.
If it has apocalyptically chugging guitar, quiet and heavy sections, is about twelve minutes long, all four members are playing something different yet it miraculously holds together, ends in a climactic scream from out of your nightmares, and/or sounds like the drummer is doing something rhythmically impossible and/or raining a murderous assault down upon his kit⦠it is probably Tool.
Sound about right?

I use the Goldmine Standard, with one caveat; Near Mint albums were purchased new by me and may not have been played. Some VG+ or VG albums are essentially as new, but not all pressings are as flawless as we would hope. I am happy to play test upon request and report back. Pressing details/pics available upon request.
Shipping from Vancouver, Canada with proper mailers (fits 1-4 records). Local pick-ups more than welcome. If you pay in advance I can also hold them for as long as you like.
US shipping appears to be $25 minimum, may go above $40 depending on location/size of order. $100 insurance included, 2 week ETA. Tracking $5 extra. Through Canada Post. If/when the border reopens (without COVID testing requirements) I may be able to hop over and ship using USPS, but be prepared to wait months if you choose this option.

Puscifer had their first comedy show last night. I was fortunate enough to get tickets. Anyone else go?
It's an almost intoxicating song to listen to, appropriately, but it is not a good song to have stuck in your head. It quickly takes a turn for the maddening after 15 hours on a six second loop.
Well I think Iβve settled on starting with Money Shot, as it fits perfectly in the time span of a drive Iβm about to make and I know for sure I like at least two of the songs on it. After that Iβm going either to Conditions or Existential Reckoning. It seems like theyβre more βaccessibleβ sounding and I figure theyβll get me into the rest of it. Thanks everybody!

I listen to all three bands and am always finding a new perspective in each song. I think I know it all and understand and then I am astounded by random revelations I have while listening to the same song I've heard 100 times.

Failure just released a new album (which sounds great) and given Greg Edwards pulling double duty and it pretty much being Cinquanta, which Maynard talked about wanting to take on tour back when it happened then you're talking APC too which would hit two targets for MJK.
Tools tour ends in May. So next fall/winter? This is some fan boy $hit I know! Haha Any takers?
Did the Puscifer live at Arcosanti vinyl get delayed? It is not on the list any more. Just the 7in at the Mayan Theatre now.
Have been a Tool fan since β94. APC? Sure, they had a run. Maynard cameos on other bandβs songs have always been incredible. I just donβt know what Iβm missing with Puscifer. Thoughts?
