A list of puns related to "Principia Discordia"
Can someone tell me please the best version of Principia Discordia available in 2021 - that has as much of the original formatting and diagrams as possible please? Ideally a link to where to buy would be great. Thanks
Therefore... is Sous Vide an acceptable method of Hot Dog preparation? Or is it blasphemy that demands we launch a Discordian Crusade and go full Deus Vult on shit? We must decide this doctrinal issue, fellow Popes!
I'm a big fan of the Principia Discordia, and I collect different editions. I've discovered there's also a polish version, but I don't think I'll be able to get a copy without help from someone Polish speaking. Is there someone that would be willing to search Polish second hand book websites to see if a copy is available?

I've been a big fan of these works for a decade and half but I've never really found anything else quite like them. I'm happy for it to be nonfiction or fiction books, related to the psychedelic and chaotic themes of the Illuminatis! Trilogy and Principia Discordia. Reality bending yet strikingly relevant to society. Some leads to good books about general conspiracies proven to be true would be in the wheelhouse.
I don't make any money from these; it's literally 1Β’ profit per item because that's as low as I can set it. Go to FSoFCabal.com and click "read."
I created this in one sitting, in a fit of inspiration from our Good Non-Lady.
It is an expression and manifestation of Her.

Ray Marlow has for years been censored by the Discordian elites. His contribution to The Book has either been appropriated or discarded altogether. Here, I present a mere sliver of his Gospel:
>For this is indeed why Chaos has to prevail over order or disorder. Any other state of affairs would constitute a contradiction, which would thereby constitute Chaos still. You may ask what I mean when I say ''Chaos''; to inquire so would be exceptionally silly. Why does it have to mean something? Why does it have to imply something other than itself? Were I to, under your unyielding insistence, point to a thing and proclaim it to be ''Chaos,'' would that not simply result in delaying the question? Would it not be the ultimate spectacle of redundancy? The root of the problem is not the so-called ''problem''; they are the problem; you are the problem; we are the problem.
[admins please note -- this is not a profit-seeking exercise and I hope it's groovy to put here] Back In The Day, annoyed at having no Discordian equivalent to the little new testament Gideon bibles given out like candy while soldiers are deployed, I cobbled together (with a lotta help from Rev St. Syn of the now-defunct poee.co.uk) the smallest-sized PD I could find in print-on-demand format, with the end goal of making them as cheap (and, thus, likely to be given away) as possible. That was....I think back in '08, when I deployed to Iraq. Now, many years (and a new shiny civilian life) later, my latest edit is up -- at just over $3 each! This is the lowest Lulu lets me price the book, plus the biggest discount it lets me give, yielding a whopping profit of a penny per book. Give 'em away! Use 'em under tables to stop that annoying wobble! Give 'em to your pet rats (actually don't do that, I bet they aren't printed with soy ink)! Donate them to your school library! Give 'em to Mormons, and tell them you'll read their book if they read yours! http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/athiestchaplain
Behold: the PDEE β at $4.20, it's the cheapest print copy of the Principia available on the 'net (there's a free PDF, too)!
I've been doing my part to spread Her word as far as possible β this has been my little pet project for 11 years or so. These are great to give away to friends, family, prison libraries (true story: I have a cousin doing life for murder, and we got one of these into his hands even though he was in the max security wing and shit), mini libraries, traditional libraries (they have a faux dewey-decimal label on them so they'll pass cursory inspection if you just stick them on the shelf), book donation bins, and anything else you can think of!
I keep them super cheap, and make almost no profit (less than a quarter) per book β that's only because Lulu's thing for price adjustment is screwy, and this is the closest I could get to no profit.
...ok, almost the closest β I added like 9 cents to make it $4.20. It was already close, and too easy a joke to pass up. I like weed and low-hanging fruit; sue me.
If you want to buy a large quantity, Lulu will sell them to me as the publisher, without Lulu's cut, for $3.22 each: PM me and we'll talk.
Hail Eris!
[EDIT] Whatβs up with the downvotesβ½ Iβm not making money on this. I smell Greyface.
in the afterward of this edition, there's a suggestion to visit Illuminati Online, io.com, which "has a large and randomly growing Discordian file area." followed by a full-page ad
following the link however, brings you to a site for Iron Mountain, "a global business dedicated to storing, protecting and managing, information and assets." ???? as well as a whole sale call center company? and they built bomb shelters? the phone number on the website goes to a Tibetan call center?
feverishly scrolling to the bottom for an "About Us" or "Company History" link, i found it. in their History is the closest thing I've ever read to a Russian bedtime story.
before me unfolded the story of Herman Knaust, a man who seemingly never existed, and his economic success built on the backs of mushrooms. foraging them technically. "Herman Knaust founded Iron Mountain in 1951 in Livingston, NY. Hailed as the βMushroom Kingβ by his Hudson River Valley neighbors, Knaust first made his fortune by growing and marketing mushrooms."
there's a paragraph just just glides over him supporting and sponsoring jewish immigrants into the states after wwii. then just vaguely pours into poorly explaining (worse than i am explaining here and now) how he acquired his fame and wealth. yadda yadda yadda then he got rich and did rich man stuff. included are newspaper and journal clippings of newspapers and journals that don't exist, and no other sources.
β
and that's all the energy i have to look into it
love,
the mushroom king
I've read it only on PDF and love the book. I have the Steve Jackson Games edition on my watchlist in eBay. On Amazon one review said to stay away from the Pacific Publishing Edition... Of course I want the Loompanics edition, but that's nowhere to be found.
Then I remember reading a post a long time ago about some kind of "battle" between editions, or something crazy like that.
Anyway, thanks for your opinion. Fnord!
EDIT: typos
Or not. I'm a defrocked pope not a cop.
I'm well-aware of its connections to General Tom-Foolery. But what gets me is the whole damn mock ideology, while possessing tremendous insight, seems to be entirely fabricated by Robert Anton Wilson.
"Greg Hill" & "Kerry Wendell Thornley" supposedly wrote the Principia Discordia. However, both of their wiki's seem fake as hell. More so, the one for Thornley is borderline ridiculous, and reads like the playfully intelligent voice of Robert Anton Wilson.

Trying to research online for any concrete validity to the origins of this is like being sucked down a rabbit hole. Definitely a fun conceptual journey, but the ordeal reads like pure shenanigans. An important point, I believe, because it details how the preservation of human history itself is mostly a sham process - with various ulterior motives and shady interests, most of it done under the guise of concealing more than a laugh.
I always took great pleasure in the fact that my best friend from college is a discordian and I follow the Tao. We get along marvelously. After reading some of the principia discordia, I don't necessarily see any conflict between the two. One is simply more humorous than the other.

Though never credited, Marlow's contribution to the Book Above All Books is immeasurable. Here, I present merely a minute sliver of Manrol's Erisian Gospel

You may ask what I mean when I say ''Chaos''; to inquire so would be exceptionally silly. Why does it have to mean something? Why does it have to imply something other than itself?
