A list of puns related to "Presidency University, Kolkata"
I want to apply for BA Sociology next year and I couldn't find any good syllabus for the entrance exam they conduct. What am I supposed to study since there was no rigid syllabus but I found some previous years papers which might or might not work. Need help regarding this, thanks in advance
I got into the English and Foreign Languages University with English Honours. It's either that or comparative literature at Jadavpur. I really love kolkata. Can anyone tell me if dropping English at EFLU for comparative in JU is worth it?
So I've got admission in St. Xavier's College for bcom and Presidency College for economics and now I'm a bit confused of which one to choose.
I don't have any particular preference for either commerce or economics, and since both the colleges are very good, it's getting harder for me to decide.
If I'm doing B.Com. from St. Xavier's, then my next plan would be to do an MBA. If I do Economics, I'd like to pursue Master's in Economics, and keep MBA as the second option. Now the thing is, MBA as an end goal sounds like a high risk high reward kind of situation, so I am not sure if I'll be able to do it, even if it sounds interesting and gives great jobs. Academia is interesting as well, but I'm not sure how well it pays, atleast compared to an MBA.
Xavier's has already started their classes, while Presidency has not yet done so. Currently I'm in the evening batch, so while it's manageable in online classes, it might be difficult later on. The timings and location for Presidency sounds better in my opinion. But then again, Xavier's ranking is better and I've already started to adjust to the college. Environment is pretty good, don't know the same for Presidency.
Can someone please give me an insight to which of my two future plans would be better, how is the environment and current position of both the colleges and whether it would be better for me to leave St. Xavier's bcom and go for Presidency.
my_qualifications: First year at St. Xavier's College
Edit: Since I've made my choice, I would request everyone to not comment on it any further as that might make me second guess my decision.

Are you curious about how people make financial decisions?
An international group of early-career researchers led by Columbia University in New York is investigating this question across 64 countries and we are still in need of perspectives from all areas of India to gain representative insights.
We would be grateful if you could take ca. five minutes to fill out our anonymous survey and contribute to this large multi-country research project. Anyone aged 18 and over, and living in India can participate.
Your help would be highly appreciated! Thank you very much.

Referencing the title, I'm asking fellow residents of Bangalore for helping a father out here. My 17 y/o daughter wants to pursue enginnering and she has selected Presidency University. I don't have any idea about the enginnering college.
Is the place where the Uni is located safe?
Would appreciate if the students of Presidency University could answer this, if any
Thank You.
I switched gears a few months ago from JEE Advanced to focus on boards and BITSAT/JEE Mains.I'm not so strong with concepts asked in jee advanced. So thought of preparing for WBJEE.
I have done a bit reasearch about it. It has got the lowest fees for engineering in the country. And the college seems good. But I don't know about it in details my_qualifications: 12th CBSE, 97% 10th ICSE
