Portland metropolitan area, Maine Puns

Well folks I'm on a road trip from my work and I'm in Portland for the night with nothing to do. What is there to do up here?

I am seeking a younger male in the 30ish to 40ish range for a long term relationship. I am flexible but only to a point--men younger than 25 are not terribly appealing to me, personally. I am looking for someone who either lives in or can travel to my area regularly.

I am 5ft3, 180, voluptuous, short blonde hair/green eyes. I have no children and I live by myself. I do not smoke or use drugs although I do drink socially, and I am disease free. I am very laid back, have a lot of interests, both mental (I am an intellectual and currently pursing a Master's degree) and physical (I lift weights and hike). I love concerts, mountains, beach, camping and lots of outdoor pursuits. I don't love watching TV but movies are fine. I love to travel and do it every chance I get. Currently I'm relearning French and trying to learn Spanish. I am considered extremely outgoing by my friends and people I meet--I don't mind dating an introvert, but please understand that I am not that way at all myself, so you need to be able to have the energy to keep up with me in conversation and in life :)

I'm open to what you do for work and what you like and look like. Please be employed (at minimum), at least semi-fit, have interests and goals in life. I do not mind if you have children. I am absolutely not interested in being a third in a poly/ENM situation. I am looking for someone younger who is my EQUAL in all ways.

Ive been hankering for a good Philly cheesesteak or chopped cheese (I’m not from either city so I’m not a purist) but haven’t found the one of my dreams yet. I tried Tomasos (good but not quite right) and Ruskis (pretty decent) but my itch still hasn’t been scratched. Does anyone here have a favorite spot in Portland or Southern Maine?

Just returned from a week long stay in the Portland area on a business/vacation related matter. I want to give a big thank you to everyone in the Portland, Bangor, and Bar Harbor areas for being so friendly, welcoming, and informative on my stay there.

Talked with two separate couples while there, and both sets had moved to Maine within the last few years. One lady told me she visited from Florida to the Portland area just one time and that was enough to convince her to move. The other couple were tired of living in Philadelphia and visited both Boulder, Colorado and Portland, Maine. Maine won hands down.

For anyone that came "from away", what made you move to the Portland area? Was it an easy decision?

Hi all, I am a new small operation breeder of rodents to feed my own reptiles, with a reliable and trustworthy food supply. I am seeking to find a couple of local customers, to help offset the expenses and time associated with this project. Currently breeding rats, with hopes to start mice as well in the near future. I would love to talk to you some more, and hear about your estimated supply needed, if you think we can work something out!

They are the biggest metro area that hasnt had a NFL team, bigger than San Antonio. Surprised that they haven't been mentioned more. The teams in the NFC and AFC west could keep their divisions too. Seems like a good alternative to not staying put.

Just wondering if there are any cool stores (cool meaning trad clothing and what not) in Portland or the neighboring areas. Something like an O’Connells.

I guess it makes sense that the Jazz would be the last team remaining. They play in the least-populated city in the NBA, so they must be more well-protected.
