A list of puns related to "Polish złoty"

One of my strange interests is the smallest unit in currencies. "Serious" publications often talks in macro terms (interest rate, GDP growth, inflation rate), as if everything is a real number. But in reality, money is in discrete number. It needs to be small enough to allow for price differentiation, but big enough to not over burden people on counting for the right amount when transacting. Still, it's a less-discusses topic.
In the U.S. and many places, the smallest unit is the smallest unit, period. But there are places like Canada and Finland where goods are priced in cents; digital transactions are rounded to cents (say interest payment). But cash payouts are rounded to multiples of 5-cents. Many European countries have different smallest-cash and smallest-digital unit (Czech Rep, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway).
In Poland, the 1 gr and 2 gr coins are still minted in large quantity in 2015 and 2016 (Wikipedia), but the values are like 0.25 and 0.5 US cents. I want to confirm with a real Polish resident, that they are still actually in use in normal life?
Thanks
I need a big reliable monitor for casual gaming and work (LoL, work is non-graphic) and I have no parameter preferences. I just want it to last years without dead pixels. I dont really see the differences between low and high end panels (apart from angles of view).
Also, there is a problem with pricing in Poland. Even though the rate of exchange is 3:1 the real rate for electronics is about 5:1...
So, i either need a 200$ monitor from polish shop or 300$ one with shipping. I just want a good, cheap monitor.
Thanks in advance :)
I've a problem: I need dogecoin but there seems to be no easy way to buy it without going through several exchanges. I need either to exchange PLN to USD (at e.g. PayPal) or BTC (at e.g. Bitcurex), then send it to different exchange and exchange it to DOGE. It causes fees to apply two times.
Previously I was avoiding it by using Bitorado.pl, which allowed to buy BTC with PLN and then exchange it to Doge in one place, but it seems it stopped working (at least my attemts to withdraw my Doge from it cause the site to crash).
Is there any place I can actually buy Doge with PLN?
Hello again. As I said before in some other posts of mine, I am really new in investing. What I want to do is to invest some money to ETFs.
As I ve read multiple times, a "safe" choice is the VCWE that everyone talks about. So I decided to move to that direction.
So I opened a demo account on xtb.com,and tried to familiarize with the platform - which is not easy. I searched for VCWE and the only one that it shows to me is the VCWE.DE. Is this the same?
Did I chose the right platform to trade!? I currently live in Poland, and probably I will stay here for long.
Thanks a lot in advance
Hi all,
Looking for advice on how to receive a large international payment.
Context: My girlfriend (Polish) and I (English) are looking at buying a flat in London, using a combination of cash and a Help To Buy Equity Loan.
We are fortunate enough that her parents are able to pay a significant chunk of the cost, but we are wondering if there are any pitfalls to transferring a large amount of money (Polish złoty to GBP). We are assuming that we need the money in our account, as since we are first-time buyers, we need everything in our name to qualify for the Loan.
Any help greatly appreciated.
EDIT: We're in England.
Hi,
So I´ve been trying to build a pc in my budget and I think I have found a decent build.
Case: Corsair iCUE 220T RGB CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 4GB OC RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB 16GB [2x8GB 3200MHz DDR4 CL16 DIMM] Power: Corsair CX650F CP-9020217-EU Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B560-PLUS CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterLiquid Lite ML240L V2 RGB SSD: Kingston SSD A400 480GB
I am kind of doubting about the water cooler, but I would love to hear everyone´s opinion on this. One more question, does this build fit all together?
Budget: 4000 Polish złoty or around 1000 euros.
I will be looking forward to ur responses!
Thanks, Ossie.
My partner owns outright a good sized piece of land with a significant sized property that needs either 1. Complete renovation or 2. Completely demolished and re-built.
What are the best methods available to finance this project given our situation?
Below are some details that might be of use:
I appreciate this is not a financial help subreddit so general advice would be great.
Many thanks
