Topic: Pokémon in the Real World!
Imagine one day, you wake up, and Pokémon are now part of the planet earth! This could maybe sound exciting at first, however, thinking about it, maybe some Pokémon aren't that great to have outside of the Pokémon world. Some could even cause the end of the world in seconds! Or perhaps they could improve the current world we live in?
What do you think would happen if Pokémon appeared in the real world? Which Pokémon would be the most dangerous? Which are the least dangerous? Let us know your thoughts!
I was listening to a playlist of all Pokémon themes earlier and they seemed really short compared to the other regions themes. I wish they were longer, their all awesome opening songs!
Just a little exercise of creative thinking where we imagine the kind of rides we would love to see (and ride!) in a full on Pokémon World theme park.
I think a good place to start would be a Mt. Moon ride much akin to the Matterhorn Bobsleigh and Expedition Everest, maybe with a touch of DisneySea's Journey to the Center of the Earth. You get on a ride vehicle on rail that takes you up through the caves of Mt. Moon with a narration coming from the vehicle telling you about the sights. You'd see the Zubats flitting about, the hiker with his Geodudes, maybe a supernerd who discovered the largest helix fossil ever, maybe glittering Moon Stones... but as it goes on you'd see more and more Clefairies on the edge of the scenes and at the top you encounter a big Clefable and a ton of Clefairy... all using metronome... "Oh no, Metronome ended up being Explosion!" and then you get blasted out the side of the mountain and the ride ends as a fast paces roller coast back down to the ground level! At the exit there would be a Magikarp Salesman who sells magikarp shaped taiyaki :p
I think that Kalos' Reflection Cave would make a good house of mirror experience. With jumpsare of Wobuffets to give Nuzlocker some PTSD!
A trackless dark ride taking you through Sinnoh's Old Chateau or Unova's Strange House would be amazing. You'd be taken around the spooky decor in a twirling vehicle with tons of furniture moving on their own and pepper ghost illusions of ghost Pokémon and ghost girls. Maybe, in keeping with the Unova Ghost Girl concept, you could end with a confrotation with Darkrai, interupted by what seems to be a shining Lunar Wing and then you 'wake up', returning to a more normal manor house, hinting that this ordeal was just a nightmare? Maybe?
How about an exciting boat ride through Meteor Falls? Something of an interior log flume essentially? Will you be able to spot a rare Bagon? Maybe seal a scene from the first Pokémon Snap and include a giant Gyarados animatronic bursting out of a waterfall alongside your path!
And finally another one for the kids: the Viridian Forest Merry-Go-Round. Surrounded by trees you ride, not on horses, but bug-type Pokémons, or baskets carried by them, including some not normally present there. No Pikachu ride vehicle otherwise the kids would fight for it :p instead the decor on the inner wall would include hidden Pikachus to look for in a 'where's waldo' type d

Topic: Pokémon Contests!
In the lands Hoenn and Sinnoh, trainers can participate in these fun little activities known as Pokémon Contest! In these, trainers can test their Pokémon's charm by going against other Pokémon and seeing which is the cutest or toughest. In Sinnoh, Pokémon are judged in multiple ways! They're judged based on how well they dress depending on the theme, how well they can keep the rhythm as they dance and how appealing they are when showing off their moves! After doing all this, the Pokémon receives a final score and that's the end of it.
Some Trainers call the Pokémon Contests boring or maybe repetitive while others call them fun. So today we want you to give your opinion on the matter. Are Pokémon Contests fun? Do they need any changes?
I compiled a list of pretty much every single theme team imaginable and wanted to share it with people, so I figured the best way would be to do it on-demand. If you have a favourite pokemon, move, ability, item, type, etc I have a Theme Team video for basically everything. A lot of the videos are from Pimpnite but there's also a ton of videos from PikaTown and Vs Network, all of which are awesome channels and if you enjoy theme teams I suggest subscribing to each of them.
I've found videos for (afaik) every pokemon and I really want to share some theme teams. Maybe you'll get some inspiration for a playthrough or just enjoy the interesting battles, but ask away and you shall receive. All you need to do is comment the name of a Pokémon and I'll send a link to a theme team based on it.
I'll need a few minutes to dig up the videos but I'll respond to as many comments as I can.
I’ve recently been thinking a lot about the different regions of Pokémon, and what themes so to speak they have in relation to the story, the characters, the Pokémon and so on. I know that applying a thematically context to the games and their content isn’t exactly breaking new ground, but I still thought it was fun to do, and I wanted to see what other people thought about this as well. So far, I’ve cobbled together the following themes for each region:
Kanto: Genetics and artificiality. This theme mostly shines through with the Pokémon we find along the way. For one, there’s Eevee, with its volatile DNA that allows it to evolve into three different Pokémon, and of course Mewtwo, one of many man-made Pokémon from this generation. Additionally, a lot of the significant characters we meet over the course of the game have some relation this theme, like Mr. Fuji, Blaine, etc..
Johto: History and tradition. For one, there’s a great focus on fleshing out the stories behind the games’ respective legendary Pokémon, like establishing the creation of Suicune, Raikou and Entei. Additionally, the aesthetics of the games towns and cities are highly reminiscent of traditional Japanese architecture. This can especially be seen in structures like the Burned Tower and Bell Tower. This region also has the Kimono Girls, who uphold the tradition of, well, traditional dance (and Pokémon battling, I guess).
Hoenn: Nature and our relationship with it. This one is pretty obvious given the story of the games. Team Aqua or Team Magma (depending on your game) want to expand the sea and expand the landmass respectively using the power of either Kyogre or Groudon. This, of course, upsets the balance of nature, until the player can fix it. Additionally, some of the towns in the game are more in tune with the nature around it, like Fortree City, which is built in the trees.
Sinnoh: Myths and Legends. This one is even hinted at with the starters, what with Torterra being based on the world turtle and Infernape being based on Sun Wukong (though I’m not sure what Empoleon is based on, maybe Poseidon? With the tridents and all). Additionally, much of the story is focused on unearthing and understanding the cultures and legends of Sinnoh. The people of Sinnoh also seem to hold a great respect for their regions history and myths, what with the Canalave Library almost exclusively containing books pertaining to legends about Pokémon and such.
Unova: Contrasting opinions. This theme is obv
... keep reading on reddit ➡So, recently I saw a lot of people complaining that it's about time to remove Team Rocket as they are getting boring and just used for filler, though I agree that the fillers are a bit too much but I still love seeing Team Rocket.
To me they capture the essence of Pokémon anime, "Always keep trying and never give up" much more than any other character. Every other character had some failures they tried and succeeded but not Team Rocket, still they keep trying and to me they are as much of the main characters as Ash himself.
I would love to hear other or similar opinions, and lets have a talk.
A singer named Jonathan Young collaborated with the original singer for the Pokémon Theme song Jason Paige and recreated the song with a "heavy metal" spin to it.
I would like the song in FLAC if possible
Like damn, this is my third theme in less than a year, with a new theme slowly kicking in. And currently have 2 themes battling me at once. I’m tired yall.
By far, my favourite tidbit in every game is the sound when you pick a berry. It is by far the most perfect sound when picking berries, I love it so much!
I also am a big fan of the follow me music (ie when Wally is catching Ralts in Pokémon R/S/E.
Little noises that ideally sound the same in every game is something I always look forward to in every new game.
Yes, the Pokémon theme is more iconic. It's one of the most iconic TV show theme songs out there, but. Beyblade theme is just better. It's a total banger and just a genuinely good song. Pokémon theme is all about the context and requires much more emotion to work.
Pls lol
