There’s a scene in Petticoat Junction S5 E8 “Meet The In Laws” where Betty Jo is trying to make dinner for her new in-laws and she needs Kate’s help to figure out why her Roquefort dressing doesn’t taste right.
Kate: Looks like Roquefort dressing… doesn’t taste like Roquefort dressing.
Betty Jo: I can’t figure it out. Bobbie Jo read me the recipe from the book and I followed it word for word. Blue cheese, vinegar, olive oil, brown sugar, chili sauce….
Kate: Hold it. Brown sugar and chili sauce?
Betty Jo: Yeah, that sounded kind of strange to us too, but that’s what it says.
Kate: Let me see.
Betty Jo hands over the cookbook to Kate.
Kate [reads]: An inch and a half of blue cheese crumbled, tablespoon of tarragon vinegar, quarter of a cup of olive oil [turns page], one cup of brown sugar, one cup of chili….. [realizes pages are stuck together]….oh, honey! The pages were stuck together. You got into a recipe for barbeque sauces!
Gross.
Hoping someone here might be able to help me out, I've been looking for seasons 4-7 of petticoat junction since they have yet to be released by CBS and probably never will, I heard ME-TV has been airing them and some people have been recording them, would anyone be willing to share those files with me? Any help is appreciated.
