Happy Pahela Baishakh to all Bengalis .... its a bengali new year ... Happy bengali new year
Title expresses itself. Here I will make a list of books and news article written on '71 Liberation war, specially focused on the Genocide occurred by pakistani blood-thirsty army, in English and by foreign authors (non Bangladeshi). Feel free to add more in the comments, I will update this post:

I became interested in New Year celebrations around the world lately, like Nowruz, Pahela Baishakh, etc. and I was wondering if there is any book on this subject.
As they have shown in the Slowly API, these stamps are 'Known Releases' for the month of April. All of them are displayed in the SlowlyStamps.info/stampcollection page, with their full title, subtitle and proper images (including the larger size ones, accessible by clicking into any thumbnail)
Some of them have already appeared (and disappeared, as they are all time limited) :

As pointed out by whatsernamezz in a comment below:
"6 additional stamps which will be re-issued, since they were already taken out from the Time Machine (and should be available at least five days prior to their holiday):
You know, pahela Baishakh is one of the biggest Bengali festivals. A lot of people celebrate it as a part of our tradition. But I've seen people who used to celebrate it 3-4 years ago are now fully against it, they now say that itโs haram.
Then comes 21st February, International Mother Language day. I've seen people who are now completely against going to the Shaheed Minar & placing wreath in there, but they werenโt like this few years ago. Same goes for 26th March & 16th December, I have seen people actively opposing these days.
Now about the National anthem, this is a very serious situation I've seen. A huge number of people are completely against singing the National Anthem "Amar Sonar Bangla", believe it to be Shirk. & I've seen this mentality growing among people who werenโt like this in the past, they would sing this song like everyone else. But now they've completely changed. This thing really scares me.
& I'm not talking about older generation, I've seen these among the people of this generation, people I know, & itโs growing. Are we going to lose our culture within a few generations? I really feel scared when I see these things happening.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
Hi everyone, I'm growing my collection and I'd love to exchange stamps with others! Here is my collection. I'll be constantly updating this post.
I cannot send these stamps from my collection:
As you can tell, the huge majority of the stamps I can send are the Location-based ones.
Furthermore, I can't send the Flower Whispers set as a gift, but I can send each stamp to you individually so they'd appear in your collection. In exchange I'd appreciate an equivalent set too (not as a gift, just the individual stamps), or a few region-exclusive / any other limited edition stamps.
Please send me a PM on Reddit telling me what you're willing to send and what you'd like in return before sending me anything in Slowly!
Thank you all very much! ๐
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies ๐
It really does, I swear!
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
And I just selected a new set and will be changing the 10 images set on our Right Sidebar image gallery.
I find these quite neat, they rotate between the 10 possible images as you refresh the page, or go in and out of topics to read and comment.
Thought about having some kind of 'theme' for a batch of stamps selected for display. Similar to what philatelists, real world mail stamp collectors do. Many are fans and specialize in certain topics.
Ours here, for the next week or so, is Folklore and Festivals -- so stamps depicting cultural events, street festivals, religious festive seasons. Slowly has many nice ones, I could easily get the 10 needed.
And I would love suggestions for future image rotations. Favourite stamps, or a theme for a week's selections, suggestions are welcome. Post a comment and add your idea! :)
Brazil's Carnival, one of my favourites
India's Holi, the Festival of Colours is gorgeous
Itรกlia's Carnevale, aka the Plague Doctor stamp
Pahela Baishakh, India's Bengali Calendar year start
Inti-Raymi, Peru's Sun Festival
Philippines's Sinulog, very colourful too
Ramadan, one of my Favourites, stunning design and colour
And the cute Balalaika playing Russian Bear :)
... keep reading on reddit โกHeard they've been doing some shady business.
Theyโre on standbi
BamBOO!
Pilot on me!!
Nothing, he was gladiator.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
What did 0 say to 8 ?
" Nice Belt "
So What did 3 say to 8 ?
" Hey, you two stop making out "
When I got home, they were still there.
I won't be doing that today!

This morning, my 4 year old daughter.
Daughter: I'm hungry
Me: nerves building, smile widening
Me: Hi hungry, I'm dad.
She had no idea what was going on but I finally did it.
Thank you all for listening.
