Dear ballet enthusiasts of reddit - desperately loooking for some help on this:
Due to lockdown I won't be able to go to a cinema to see the broadcasting of the Nutcracker from the ROH on December 9. That's now two years in a row and I am devastated. I can't imagine christmas time without that extra portion of glitter and kitsch. Every time I hear Tchaikovsky on TV or the radio it makes my heart ache.
So maybe someone here knows a way to watch the Nutcracker via some streaming portal etc. Thanks in advance for any comment!
Back in the day, I could watch G4TV right here in Canada (Qc). Do you think the relaunch will be US exclusive? I think it will, since I couldn't get a sweet t-shirt (US restricted). If it is, It would be nice to think of ways for people outside of US to watch. I don't mind paying, I've been waiting for this for so long!

Yeah, need to speak to my flatmate about groceries, being in the shop. Does not pick up phone for 20 mins and I am soo sure that the flatmate is playing Zelda :-)..

A lot of Americans think the same or us from what I’ve heard the last few trips, granted not all Americans or Japanese people think this.
I get they we have some thing better then others but we aren’t that perfect, we still have crime, homeless people noted not as much as other places but it’s still there, look at Italy’s lower class.
Well I’m Swiss so I can’t say much on this at the moment but many countries here still have wars they help in, sending soldiers, supplies etc.
All of the media and news overseas the last 10-20 years have made us seem plastic fake and perfect to everyone around us?
I'm visiting the Emirates this month and it's made me realize how much I missed hearing adhaan over the PA (public announcement) system.
However, I can't understand why the entire prayer is broadcast in the same fashion here. I'm situated between 4 mosques and with every overlapping salah, all I hear is a garbled mess.
What's the point, don't the spiritual advisors know how sounds mix? This can't be in keeping with the Sunnah. Maybe the mosques could alternate their PA systems thereby reducing dare I say noise pollution. All while allowing neighbors to benefit from the varying styles of recitation.
