A list of puns related to "Outline of motorcycles and motorcycling"
"Oh, just a couple of minutes ago."
During this period of community stress, I got the last one which says that I can't post, because I do not believe u/Negral reposted this image to 2 subs:. TumblrInAction and.
Hi guys!
Iβve been a lurker on here for the past few months or so, but Iβd always been interested in motorcycles in general. Having gotten my first motorbike and ridden it for fun and to commute for a month, I would love to share some of my thoughts on motorcycling. A few months ago, I finally plucked up the courage to get myself a motorbike license and a bike to ride with, and from that day on, my life has transformed completely!
I just wanted to say, riding is absolutely the best thing that Iβve done! Iβve always had a bicycle growing up, but that moment when I first got onto the 2017 Grom I got for my first bike, that was a whole other feeling. It was as if every single sensation in my body got turned to 11, and from that day onwards, Iβve never felt more alive, always anticipating my commute/any chance to ride. Iβve had a huge grin stuck on my face every time I got on the bike, and just absolutely loved every single moment of riding ever since.
Not only has my cute little motorbike become something that can turn a bad day great, but itβs also such a nimble little beast! The traffic conditions in Hong Kong have been rather congested for the past 10 years, but now I can nip and zip through most of the traffic (when it is at a complete standstill, which is often), saving tremendous amounts of time! Furthermore, Iβm no longer at the mercy of buses that come once every 30 minutesβ¦ when they want.
Iβve taken the ATGATT mentality to heart, and itβs actually not too hard to keep up with. The weather over here is much nicer, with temperatures ranging from 60 to 90 farenheit, so it isnβt too hot to keep gear on. Itβs also quite important to have gear here as many drivers here are awfully negligent and straight up pretend you donβt exist - cutting into your lane when you are right next to them, flying out the roundabout just as you are approaching them, stuff like that. However, itβs not a big deal if you keep a defensive mindset with you, which has actually made me a much more attentive person.
To end, I would like to thank everyone here on R/moto for their advice, and the community in general. My induction into motorcycling would not have been as wonderful if not for you guys!
This was in Miami, I was parked a few miles from Miami Beach, about 1/2 mile from the interstate in a well lit residential area with construction on one side.
Woke up to my entire van violently shaking at midnight. I was only parked there for about two hours, but was sleeping. They didn't assume anyone was inside. I yelled at them and they ran back to their vehicle, which was a blacked out minivan and drove off. I bet they steal motorcycles often.
I got in the driver seat and followed them to the next traffic light but did not pursue it any further and found a new spot.
I'm not too worried since chances are I can drive off before they undo the bike, if the fact that I am present and aware does not deter the thief. (Now the release on all those straps are padlocked as well..) and the bike is insured against theft anyway.
It was a huge adrenaline dump though! Kinda reminded me of scaring raccoons off the porch at my old apartment.
Be safe out there ladies and gentlemen! Always keep whatever you need to get up and go nearby,
My dad said he's been waiting 26 years to give me this book. Granted there were some philosophical topics that were way over my head, his style of writing is hypnotic. A beautiful look into a brilliant and slightly disturbed mind, and a book that I look forward to visiting again in another 26 years...
"He was insane. And when you look directly at an insane man all you see is a reflection of your own knowledge that he's insane, which is not to see him at all. To see him you must see what he saw and when you are trying to see the vision of an insane man, an oblique route is the only way to come at it..." - Pirsig
Edit: This is unbelievable!! Woke up this morning to find this on the front page. So many good recommendations. Also lot's of hate/love for Zen but that was to be expected. Hope this thread will introduce more amazing books to people and happy to see how much love people have for reading :)
I got trolled so hard, I even dmed some guy being like.. Hey you're gay and I'm gay and we are both squids blah blah. Fucking hell this happened last summer and I've been too mortified to admit it until now. But you guys got me and I hate you.
Edit: ppl accusing me of being a troll.. Just check my submission history and sort by top of all time.
I have mixed feelings about this, even though I love the book.
Looking for community discussion and opinions.
I bet this has been discussed here before, but I wasn't arround for that.
The question originates from a very recent thread.
