I had just enough glass kicking around, so I made another enclosure :p second pic is what I did with the first one. Using them for my oniscus asellus and the orange variant.

Just saved these friends here from the power washer. I have Porcellio scaber, Oniscus asellus and Philoscia muscorumand and thought about keeping them as well. They look like some Glomeridae, but I never kept any like these. Can anyone help with some information on housing/food scource/ humidity? :)

Interesting colouring on what I thought was a Porcellio scaber but now Iβm not so sure. Found it in a large colony of other scabers, and doesnβt *really* look like an oniscus asellus. Anybody any ideas?

TIL that Oniscus asellus means "little donkey"
Oniscus is Greek for "little donkey" (ΞΏΞ½Ξ―ΟΞΊΞΏΟ, onΓskos from ΟΞ½ΞΏΟ, Γ³nos: donkey and -*Ξ―ΟΞΊΞΏΟ, -*iscus: little) and asellus is Latin for "little donkey" (little a$$, to be precise). So the beloved creature's name literally translates to "Little donkey little donkey". That's twice a little donkey than a real little donkey!

ID please. Found that funky one in my Porcellio scaber box. I collected all of them in my area. I think it is Oniscus asellus? Am I right? Placed some scabers beside for comparison

Just started an Oniscus asellus colony, rescued them from some wood in my yard that was being discarded (released most of them but kept these as pets). Not the best picture, but I already adore them! They're my firsts, any tips on how to keep them thriving?

Does anyone know what these Isopods are? Collected from under neath a rotten log 2 weeks ago in Bergen County, New Jersey. Was keeping them with my Oniscus Asellus but then decided to separate them. I put as many as I could find into a plastic bowl.
